I'm giving it a 5. I was a little annoyed that the person bringing out our food initially brought mine to the wrong table. When they realized the mistake, they wouldn't allow me to move my own food and instead reached across the table--and over other people's food--to hand it to me rather than just walking around the table. But I say all of that to say, the way it was addressed was perfection. And a HUGE shoutout to Kenzie for making our day amazing! Came in on a Monday morning for breakfast with a Friend of mine. There are a ton of outside seats with a little patio out front, also a ton of seating on the side as well. The inside isn't huge but there's a good amount of seats. There was a bit of a wait for a table but we were able to snag some seats at the bar right away. We were greeted immediately and given water then took just a moment to look over the menu. My friend and I both ordered a coffee drink and eggs Benedict. Since we were seated at the bar we got to watch our drinks being made and almost immediately after receiving our coffees our food was out! It was QUICK. The coffee I opted for was an iced salted caramel latte. It was so tasty with just a hint of sweetness. That was exactly what I wanted that morning. My friend enjoyed her drink as well, she decided on an espresso martini type drink called a Big Boozy Brew Shot. Clearly she liked it because she had 3. Our eggs bene were so good! The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was delicious. I used some of the house ketchup with the potatoes and I loved that little hint of spice. Yum! Came here on a Saturday for breakfast, it was pretty busy, but waited about 20minutes. Our server was Mackenzie and she was amazing, friendly, great service. We order a bottle for mimosas, and she served the first one for us tae side. We also the Hot Chick Eggs Benedict, and the Traditional Eggs Benedict. Both lack flavor, seemed like it was missing something. The potatoes were a bit cold and dry. Felt like they just grabbed some from a pre cooked container and threw them on the plate. The menu has plenty of creative options, but they also do the classics well, so there's something for everyone. Wait time was expected to be 25 minutes but was more like 18. Indoor and outdoor seating was available. Our server Austin was definitely on top of it and deserves two finger snaps and a high cheer split. Our table ordered the Oreo pancakes with a side of whipped cream and the shrimp and grits. The pancakes literally had the Oreo filling between the stacks. Way too decadent and too much for one person's insulin. It was delicious but only half eaten. The shrimp & grits is not like the traditional recipe but it was good and flavorful. And did taste as good warmed up later. I would ask for the corn on the side. Yes, it had corn. BR has to do it differently. If you're looking for a farm kitchen spizzo with food variety and choices, BR is an easy recommendation. TIP FOR GUESTS: I carry my own cleansing cloths (for all restaurants) because the tables are not cleaned only wiped. There was a lot of residue. Amazing dining experience with co-workers! To begin the long weekend and celebrate someone's birthday, the group met for lunch. This was my second time dining at Breakfast Republic, but my first time dining at this particular location. Located in a shopping center, the ample available parking added to the relaxing and enjoyable experience. Among the group, several different entrees were selected, and everyone raved about the quality, quantity, and deliciousness of the food. I wish I could have had a bite of everything on the table (smile). Seated at a large table, which allowed everyone to interact, made for a pleasant experience for all of us, and we even sang happy birthday to the birthday boy. This is our second time at Breakfast Replublic, but in a different town. Menu didn't really offer anything exciting for me so I went with a safe choice - the Cluck Burger. It was good, but lacked any presence of greens. Is it just me or a burger isn't complete without lettuce, onions and tomatoes? There were just a lot of protein (2 patties, bacon, egg) and carbs (fried potatoes) so I just felt like I needed veggies to balance it out. I had asked for "no-buns" because I don't care for any more carbs. In my mind maybe they could've done a lettuce wrap or something as it has been done in the past at other restaurants. Sure, I can't presume to think they'll do the same here, so maybe this was on me. But had they done a lettuce wrap or provided lettuce instead of buns, I would've given them an extra star. Also, the item description said it had Thousand Island dressing. But my burger did not have any. I asked our server why that was, and she said the dressing is on the buns, so because I asked for no buns, they didn't think to put the dressing on the burger. Whaaat? I guess our server realized the error, she asked if I wanted the dressing on the side. I, of course, said yes. This kind of gave me a weird vibe. The California Breakfast Burrito was decent, but it came with way too much rice and beans. I feel like sides portions should not overpower the main entree. Never thought there would be a day where I would be eating egg benidict?? ( I don't eat egg) This is the first time I have seen vegan egg benedict on the menu and let's just say I was pleasantly surprised. The texture was so soft and fluffy and the salty "egg" paired perfectly with the jam. It is THE dish for my sweet and savory girlies. And there are potatoes on the side which are so crispy and filling! The breakfast burrito I wasn't that impressed with because it has a lot of fake meat which I am not a fan of. But if you like the taste and texture of meat and are exploring going vegan definitely give it a shot. I am quiet surprised at the amount of vegan options because most restaurants and breakfast places don't have it even if they are a chain! Also fyi the house-made ketchup is not it. I always want to give Breakfast Republic the benefit of the doubt bc it is so highly rated and the wait is always insane... but it really is just average for me. My table ordered the chilaquiles, the shrimp and ricotta frittata, and an American breakfast. The tortilla chips in the chilaquiles had a weird texture that was soggy and crunchy at the same time and just tasted like tomato paste. The beans and rice were nothing special. I was so excited about the frittata, but it tasted like nothing. Adding salt and hot sauce made it somewhat palatable. The buttermilk pancakes were the only thing we really enjoyed. After many tries, I think I've established that breakfast republic just isn't for me. read more

American brunch with creative menu offerings and options for those on a high protein or vegan diet. This restaurant does not take reservations, only walk-ins, so for large parties plan accordingly. They are quite a small restaurant in a strip mall. The staff are friendly but casual, and we had no trouble ordering. There was a mix up in which one person did not get their food for quite a long time, which was unfortunate, but accidents do happen. I ordered the California Breakfast Burrito, which I think is a Cali burrito because it has potatoes. It came with a side of rice and beans. The rice was rather dry and beans not very flavorful. The burrito was good, lots of big chunks of creamy egg and a hit of salty fattiness from the bacon. I enjoyed it most with their signature hot sauce on the table. I also got the ube iced latte, which was tasty, but more just generically sweet than any strong ube flavor. Just a heads up but it will also stain your lips and teeth a little. We also ordered a pancake flight and french toast sampler for the table. Some are smaller than others, for example the pineapple is just one pancake with pretty light toppings whereas the oreo one is two pancakes stacked with cream inside. The french toast was a hit with the table. The pancakes less so. The oreo was very crumbly, did not stay together at all, but the flavor was nice. The tres leches pancake is SO sweet. Even with a huge sweet tooth I could not handle it. Next time I would stick to the french toast, seemingly their better item, as at least the pancakes we chose were a miss. Overall it was a decent dining experience, but their food was not standout and even lacking in some areas. I think it stands somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, but for having a great vegan menu I will round up. read more

We ended up at Breakfast Republic after trying 2 other places first. (One was outrageously expensive for breakfast & the other was an order at the counter kind of place.) I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. Lots of humorous decorations and such. We both had the American, which came with 3 eggs, potatoes, toast and meat. The maple sausage was a large link and it was very tasty. I really liked the potatoes as well, and the eggs were good as well. The coffee was a bit strong for me, but it was very good and it was served in huge mugs; I couldn't finish the first cup, let alone have a refill. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Breakfast Republic in Mission Valley, and I have to say--five stars all the way! From the moment we were seated on the shaded patio (with outdoor fans keeping things perfectly comfortable), everything was smooth, relaxing, and absolutely delicious. Jazmine, our waitress, was a gem! So friendly, attentive, and on point the entire time. She made sure our drinks stayed filled without us even needing to ask, and her warm attitude added to the overall positive experience. She alone deserves 5 stars for her service! Now let's talk about the food--phenomenal is an understatement. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors? Out of this world. We requested to swap out the pork in our omelettes for turkey bacon, and they accommodated us with no extra charge, which we really appreciated. For the pancakes--WOW. My husband had the pineapple upside-down pancakes, and they literally tasted like the cake version--sweet, warm, and full of flavor. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake pancake sandwich--layers of fluffy buttermilk pancakes with cream cheese icing and graham cracker crumbles in between, topped with fresh strawberries and a side of syrup. The pancakes can be subbed out in replacement of the potatoes or bread options for $4 dollars more and you can pick any type of pancakes. It was hands-down one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. The kitchen staff deserves their flowers too--the food came out fresh, hot, and perfectly cooked despite the restaurant being busy.
