Came in for lunch around 1 pm on a Thursday. There were seven table, and 3 servers. We sat for about 5 minutes before we were served water. 5 more minutes passed. Another server came by to ask if we needed drinks. We said no, we wanted to order. She said I'll tell your server. Still no one came to the table. Other tables were also waiting to order. Finally a server emerged to bring food to a table across from us. We were unable to attract her attention, as she seemed intent on ignoring us. We got up and left at this point after approximately 15 minutes. We used to eat at Breakfast Stations a lot, but quit going because of service and wait problems. Ok here we go! Went here because Grannie's was packed and a long wait. Got a seat right away and staff very friendly. Had to wait to get my soup and salad. Had to ask waitress we're are they? Long wait for food as always that's why We stopped going here. There was maybe only 4 tables of people. Kitchen is always so slow. Very pricey we ordered the same food as ordered at other local restaurants and was almost double. Very clean and friendly staff but kitchen always slow. Food was great and everything else seamed in order. If kitchen stepped it up a little would maybe go back. The one in Dunnellon is fast and I visit once a week. They should send there cooks up there for training they are quick with the food and always packed! read more

Confused concept of good customer service...! Yes busy for Monday..new waitress ..seated quickly... Then we placed our drink order... 5 minutes later manager comes by about drinks...repeats our order ..all wrong... Returns with drinks... Then nothing.. Waitress never returns to take our order... 5 minutes...10 minutes Manager continues to seat more and more people..yet no service to those seated .. After seeing him continue to fill tables and we had been seated for 15 minutes and still never had been able to place our order.. I spoke to manager as to why was he rushing to seat more and more people when we still had not been able to even order food?? He said it was busy...and they would get to us SOON!! To our group no one felt seating more and more people when you can't take an order in over 20 minutes. .... Poor business sense to continue to seat people when you can not serve those seated for such a long wait. Paid for drinks and left as we had to keep a medical appointment. read more

This is the best breakfast station that we have tried. Everyone is always pleasant and very welcoming. Started going there because family was down visiting and we don't go anywhere else for breakfast now. Sorry names escape me but all of the waitresses and the front guy are fantastic. Also everything that we order the omelettes, the depot special and the cinnamon swirl pancakes are so tasty. We don't get the regular pancakes anymore. read more

The Crystal River Breakfast Station ( store #9) was AWESOME! My family and I recently visited it after a camping trip where we had gotten very little sleep, so we were not in the best moods. The service was excellent. They greeted us immediately when we walked in, and we're very quick. The food was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Seaboard fish sandwich which was a huge breaded Cod fillet. I had the Smokestack burger. Bother were the best we've had in a long time. A true half pound hand made burger and a gigantic hand battered fillet. They really reset our day. I highly recommend them. If you're in Crystal River and hungry, go there between 7:00-3:00. Best French toast in Florida. My wife and I ate here whilst on a weekend break in the area. I had a regular breakfast and could not fault the food or the service. Cooked to perfection, not oily. We went to the one in Crystal River, Florida. I had called prior to going to find out their COVID precautions. I was told all employees wear masks and the have installed partitions behind tables. Yes, the employees where wearing masks, but the partitions were only dividing the booths, while all the other tables were close to each other. Breakfast was packed and we were uncomfortable with the crowds. None of the customers wore masks while entering, walking around or paying. We're from South Florida, so we are used to a different set of rules! But, we went back after the rush for lunch. We got a booth with no one in front of us or to the sides. And I am glad we did. I had one of the best mixes green salads with grill chicken, ever. At a price I couldn't believe. Served with chips. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwich with fried and a side order of cheese grits. Cooked very well and also, very reasonable. The service was friendly. I highly recommend. For sure, I will try the breakfast options when we return. And, we will return. read more

Ignore all the other breakfast/lunch places in town, this one is the best. Come for the deliciously crispy and chewy cinnamon swirl pancakes, and come back again next time for the awesome service and community feel. My son and I are regulars here, and they are always ready with his chocolate milk and a friendly request for updates on how he's doing in school. Have a problem, ask Klaara, one of the managers, who is also always on the floor, working just like the rest of the staff, and she'll fix you right up with a smile. The food is phenomenal. While sitting in our booth a live cockroach walked along the wall behind my girlfriends head. When told waitress about the roach and showed it crawling she immediately killed it in the dining room . The waitress proceeded to say that it's just in this corner but they have pest control and blamed the roaches on the medical wound care place next door. The manager Alex came to the table and offered the meal to be free but the waitress still brought us our check for meal. We were still made to pay for our meal after it was offered for free. When asked the cashier about the roach discount she proceeded to say what roach but then admitted she knew about the roach on the wall and made excuses that the building is old . Every breakfast station I have been to have never wowed me on their food and this location has officially put themselves on the fast track for dirty dining . I can not and will not recommend this location and will be sharing this story with the rest of the crystal river community . read more

I wanted to try Breakfast Station and compare it to Grannie's which is right across the street. I should have just stuck with Grannie's. Customer service goes a loooong way. Both places do get busy but this spot was lacking. It seemed that they were short staffed and it took a bit to seat just a party of 1(me) but rhat part is fine. Once I was finally seated, it took a waitstaff awhile to come to my table. Once the order was taken, the food took a bit to come out, which again I understand since they were short staffes. I ordered the crunchy french toast which was actually delicious! No syrup needed. Anyway, the last time someone stopped at my table was when they gave me the food. No one checked on me, and only had 1 cup of joe so yea no refills. Even tho I watched the waitress go back and forth to the table behind me. Food was good but thats all that was good. We had breakfast here while visiting Crystal River for a manatee tour. It was just what the doctor ordered. Everything was just as requested. The restaurant is clean and new. The food is very good, seasoned and cooked just right. Service was a bit over the top. I just wanted to eat; I'm just not used to being fawned over quite that much. The sign outside just says "Restaurant" in big red letters. It is in the corner of a strip mall, lots of parking. Good service, good food, clean place. I've been a server here in the Citrus County area for 35 years. I am now employed at Breakfast Station #9 in Crystal River. Never, in my entire career, have I worked for a cleaner more organized restaurant! All of the staff are attentive, and they care about YOU.... the customers. Here, you're family. There's no limit to what management comes out to help their staff with. Bussing tables, taking orders, bringing drinks. Etc. The food is out of this world and I just love working here. Alex and Klaara are energetic, efficient and working with everyone here just makes it like I'm not even working at all! This will definitely be the last server job I'll ever have.
