Instead of toast, I chose the three silver dollar pancakes with whipped cream and strawberries. I don't normally divert from toast not a big fan of sweets but today I had a craving. The pancakes with the Strawberries and whipped cream were very good as was my skillet. The others at the table also enjoyed their meals. My visit to Breakfast Station felt less like breakfast and more like an episode of a reality TV show that should have been canceled after the pilot. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere seemed chaotic and neglected. The restaurant looked tired, the service felt disorganized, and the whole experience left me questioning every life choice that led me to order food there. The place had the energy of a train station during a power outage. Tables seemed forgotten, the dining room felt unkempt, and the overall experience was far from what I expected. Instead of enjoying breakfast, I spent most of the meal wondering whether I should laugh, cry, or call a time machine and go somewhere else. The food itself failed to rescue the situation. Everything felt rushed and uninspired, as if the kitchen was engaged in a secret competition to see how little excitement could be packed onto a plate. I've had more memorable meals from a gas station vending machine. By the time I left, I wasn't angry--I was impressed. It takes a special kind of effort to turn breakfast, arguably the easiest meal to enjoy, into such a memorable disappointment. He wasn't really wanting to eat but after seeing the food and hearing from our waitress how they use filtered water & try to avoid cooking with seed oils, he decided to try the biscuits and gravy. Friday 9/13/2024 Came across this spot while using yelp to search for good breakfast/brunch in the area. After looking over their menu, I saw many different items that looked really good so I had to go. I made a phone call pick up order and the customer service was very good: she was nice, friendly, and patient. For my order, I got the depot breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, & home fries) with an upcharge for cinnamon swirl dollar pancakes $11.99, stuffed French toast $9.99, and a cinnamon roll $2.99. - the depot breakfast was pretty standard and expected for the most part: bacon solid, home fries decent but scrambled eggs were mediocre. - The cinnamon swirl dollar pancakes were actually pretty decent. - The stuffed French toast (my favorite item) was pretty good and the whip cream & strawberry mixed sauce made for a nice addition. - the cinnamon roll was just alright. We decided to try the Train Station (eggs, sausage and French toast) and the Chopped Steak special. We were pleasantly delighted how tasty the food was. There was plenty of food for leftovers, which didn't go to waste. Our server, Shelby, did a great job ensuring we had a great dining experience. We have been here several times and enjoyed it. We went today and I was ordering something that came with sautéed mushrooms and I asked for sautéed onions instead. I was told there would be a charge for that, no substitutions! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm substituting one vegetable for another. I told the cashier (who was our waitress) why we were leaving and it's ridiculous they won't substitute one vegetable for another and was told she was sorry and we didn't have to pay for our drinks.
