I love love the fact they have two free parking spots at the back first of all. Alright and when it comes to food, I love their in-house smoked salmon, love their coffee crushed pork belly. Btw, try the pork belly hash instead of the benny. You get a whole piece of pork belly instead of two thinner sliced ones under the egg in a benny. This is a great place --the seating was very comfortable and the servers are very polite from the moment we walked in. The food was pretty good. I ordered the hangover which was very large and had a lot more than I thought (seasoned vegetables, potatoes, eggs, waffles, bacon, this awesome whipped coconut topping for the waffle). Another person in our party got one of the benedicts and he didn't really care for it so much so the opinion on the food was definitely divided. This place was really yummy. I had the Wild Pine Mushroom Benedict, which was the special Beni of the day, and we also had the French toast; both were perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. The side of vegetables were a nice surprise as they were root vegetables that are often not offered as a side, they were quite savory. The staff was supremely attentive and we didn't have to wait long. The atmosphere and music made it feel like a great place to chill and people watch, while still being able to carry a conversation and hearing the other person. What a find! The entire menu is inspired. Started with a homemade chocolate milk with brandy, creme de cacao, chocolate ganache, fresh grated nutmeg. I had the most delicious gluten free waffle with coconut yogurt whip and maple syrup. Love the Asian fusion elements. The serving was exactly what it should have been, no more and no less. The vegetables tasted fresh, were cooked just right and did not appear slicked or soggy with oil. I always appreciate when restaurants don't spoil great vegetables with oil. The poached eggs were served with seasonal vegetables and warm English muffins. All in all an extremely satisfying meal which cured my hunger until dinner time. Only two negative comments, the size of this restaurant and the long wait. Really filling breakfast! I've been here twice for a weekend brunch and both times I've had to wait approximately 30 minutes. The wait is okay though because you can give your name and they will text you when the food is ready (there is Indigo nearby!). I got the chicken karage hash bowl this time - it came with grilled veggies, eggs (I got mine poached), and potatoes. Super yums and very filling, although I wish that I had gotten more sriracha sauce to it (as I think it lacked a bit of flavour). My partner got the pork belly hash bowl and said he really enjoyed the meal as well. I have tried this bowl last time, and it was also very filling and savoury. Coffee crusted pork belly takes the pork scent out and made the bowl super tasty! Came here for breakfast with my bf on a Sunday morning. Place was quite busy so we had to wait about 10-15 min but it was worth it. My bf ordered their braised shortrib benedict which had eggs and sauteed mushrooms on top. Their braised shortrib was soo good. It was so tender that it broke apart so easily with a fork. He also had a side of their fried chicken which was amazing. You won't be disappointed because it was pretty big for $6 and so moist for a chicken breast! Also, you would get a good amount of chicken because the batter was so thin. I had their basic breakfast meal with 2 poached eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. I really like their bacon because it was very meaty and it had such a nice kick to it from the pepper they added to it. Overall, staff were super friendly and food was great. We went in for Sunday brunch at 10:20 and there was about a 20 minute wait. I would characterize this place as pan-asian brunch comfort food. Usually, I feel brunch is kind of heavy and oily. But Breakfast Table manages to keep it a little lighter. I ordered the: [chicken karaage hash] two eggs, green onion, sesame seed, Sweet Ass Chilli Sauce . I ordered the eggs poached to medium. The 'hash' basically was roasted potatoes which I was pleasantly surprised at (I was expecting something like a hash brown). And more surprisingly the kaarage (deep fried chicken thighs Japanese style) was very very good. Perhaps one of the best I've ever had actually. This place is pretty AHHHMAZING! Not sure why it has four stars, but definitely deserving of 5+stars. We're from LA, so we're pretty darn spoiled. Been here for about a week, and naturally visited all the top reviewed places, 500-1,000+ reviews, 4.5-5 stars...not impressed. We found they were usually over hyped, over priced. On our 5th day here we decided to take a drive and get lost. We found Breakfast Table, saw it had decent reviews, and decided to give it a shot. Best restaurant we've visited in Vancouver thus far. Michael, one of the owners, was so sweet and hospitable. Thank you so much for the delicious breakfast. He even went out of his way to print out a map of a few places we should visit on a rainy day. Ambiance and service was great. Food was also delicious, loved the selection of market vegetables on our plates, especially the daikon that was full of flavour. Perhaps balancing out the ratio between potatoes and other veggies would be nicer. Got 4-5 pieces of Karaage in my dish, they were fried well and retained the crispy texture till the last bite. Only complaint would be that 4/5 pieces of the Karaage was marinated for too long, it was very very salty. The egg and veggies balance it out so I guess that's okay. Started off thinking we were in for a 15-20 minute wait, and ended up waiting only about 10 minutes. The vegan and vegetarian options were great and after asking my mother if she thought her brunch was delicious I got a prompt- "Um yes!" Overall, coming here you're going to find a scrumptious brunch, adorable wall decor, and friendly staff that will inform you that that vegetable on your plate is in fact a rutabaga, not a strange turnip. Food would be a 4-star rating but overall experience warranted a 3. Dropped by on a stat holiday around 12:30PM and the place was moderately busy. No other customers waiting and there were a couple of empty tables but it took almost 15 minutes for me to be seated and me asking 2 separate staff members for a table. I think because it's new, staff could do with some more training. The staff are wonderful, but service is super slow. After being seated we had to ask for our water, weren't asked if we wanted any coffee or drinks, and after ordering to when our food came out - it was at least a 40 minute wait and I would have said that there were only 2-3 other tables waiting for food during that time. Otherwise, food was good! I got the coffee crusted pork belly hash which I thought was a really unique take. Their hash is the softer chunkier potatoes (not crispy) but the flavouring was nice and buttery. The pork belly was cooked nicely, I think my only issue with it was that is was just a tad over-cooked on the crust. It has a nice charred flavour, but I think with the amount of the coffee crust, it was on the "burnt-taste" side. My friends got the chicken karaage hash and the smoked trout benedict, both of which they said was good! Portions are decent, not huge but enough to fill an average-hungry person. I like that there's a mix of vegetables with the hash and not just a bunch of potatoes for the dish. I would have liked it if the food was served hotter though - it was just moderately warm when it came to our tables. read more

Solid place to try! We came there at a busy time on a Saturday noonish affair. When we went to give our names, it was refreshing to have them take our cell number and text us when our table was up. It gave us a little bit of a chance to walk up and down the street into a couple of shops. When we did get the text and came to the door the host was happy to call out our names to welcome us and guide us to our seat. The people in this restaurant are very friendly and they really care. There is an owner is responsible for the recipes and he is very respectful about coming around to each and every table to find out if the patrons were enjoying their food. I ordered the hangry (cause I was hangry) and my gf ordered the classic old faithful. Eggs were cooked medium hard perfectly, came with garlic veggies, potatoes were DEEE luscious, pepper bacon was very tasty (we would've preferred it a little crispier so ask for that) There was so much food which made the price of good value. The pepper jam that we put on our toast was so delicious....homemade and perfect. I preferred the turkey sausage over the other sausage choice. I appreciate that both were unique but I'm not sure either were fantastic. I can really appreciate the effort from the owner and I would easily come back. Between the service and the uniqueness of the food, we give it a five! This place isn't perfect, but it has a ton of character, care and attention that you can really appreciate! read more

I visited The Breakfast Table recently with my girlfriend. This restaurant provides a nice brunch selection. I ordered the Eggs Benedict which was actually pretty good, although the reason I am reviewing this restaurant with 3 stars is because we waited almost 45 minutes to be seated in, there seemed to be no apologies for the wait. In my opinion this should be addressed at least as a formality. I do recommend the food though and I am goin to assume that it wont be the same experience next time soo that is why I would go back. read more

Amazing. A brunch restaurant that has a vegan option right on the menu - honestly, this is surprisingly difficult to find! The food was good, flavourful and with each ingredient cooked to perfection - asparagus tender but with bite, spinach garlicky but not over-wilted, carrots indulgent and flavourful, potatoes perfectly cooked without being starchy melty messes. As for the tofu with cauliflower hollandaise - my only complaint is that the tofu just felt like, well, a block of tofu. No marinade was evident. I would have preferred if it were grilled to smokiness, or otherwise just a bit more interesting. I didn't try the coffee, but I did have a cocktail - Rosie's Cure. Delicious and so cheap! I don't always need a 2oz cocktail, and it is so nice to not have to pay $13 for a bit of a tipple with brunch. My dining companion chose the beef bulgogi hash and was very happy with it. Other than the beef and kimchi, her bowl had basically the same ingredients as mine. Service was friendly and prompt, and their house hot sauce is great! read more

Checked out Breakfast Table yesterday for some brunch with some friends. I ordered the Chicken Karaage Hash with a side of chicken sausage. Chicken itself was tender however I wasn't the hugest fan of the coating. Looked and tasted like cornmeal which isn't my favorite. Also the chicken could of used more the chili sauce that it comes with. Chicken sausage was pretty tasty but not anything super special. All in all the dish was pretty good but could use a little tweaking. They also has an Oyster Chowder on special and they offer a "Tasting" size for $2 which was a great idea seeing how I ordered quite a bit of food but I still wanted some of the chowder. They chowder was probably my favorite part of my meal. Creamy, rich with truffle butter and nice sized pieces of oyster. I would order that again for sure. 2 of my other friends said they were not blown away with their meals (Vegan Breakfast & Breakfast Poutine). Another said she really liked hers (Trout Benny). They also have a tasty sounding cocktail list. I would like to give those a try when I return. read more

I went there on a weekend with my hubby, and it was full. Thank goodness the wait wasn't horrible, only 10 minutes or so and we were seated. Service was very attentive, server poured us water and coffee right away. I love their menu selection, got some sinful and healthy varieties. Very brand spanking new place. I saw this in passing on the way to another job site. I am familiar with the area, therefore, when I see something new that is not in the area my initial instinct is to try them out right away. This is a breakfast place that serves breakfast all day and they've open until 8 pm. The customer service was awesome and super friendly. Lots of seating inside with wifi on request. I had pouched eggs with salmon and hash to go with a side of fruit which came to $20 which was a little steep I have to admit but good. The side of fruit won't fill you and not much a side, however, it is a modest garnish with some great ingredients. A good pallet balancer if you're ordering a savory dish. My only feedback was that the veggies were way too greasy. I've eaten at a lot of greasy spoons and I know that some veggies are to be friend and grilled, however, a little easy on the oil. This is one of the rare brunch spots in Vancouver that deserves a revisit in my books. The wait was reasonable for a Sunday afternoon - around 15 minutes for 2 people. They have a system where you put down your name and they text you when the table is ready, so you can go wander around a bit if you want. The servers were friendly and attentive. I had the corned beef benedict, which was really good! The corned beef was not overly salty, but flavourful, and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly, runny yolk and all. The veg sides were Asian-inspired and tasted very good to me (I love napa cabbage and daikon so I may be biased). I am not a huge brunch fan since I'm sick of the typical breakfast foods and the grease, but I thought the menu here is creative, and everything on my plate was delicious. This is rare for me due to my meh-ness of brunch food in general. It is Asian-inspired though so perhaps not everyone will be into it, and seen by some of the other reviews on here. We also ordered cocktails - the good morning sunshine was so good and layered that we ended up following it up with the breakfast alexander (which was basically alcoholic chocolate milk :P). This was a good breakfast restaurant. They have a variety of options here blending Korean and American/Canadian classics. I ordered the salmon which was two eggs, fried rice and a salmon filet. It was a delicious dish. I also ordered the French toast. You get two large pieces of toast. Unfortunately it was undercooked the first time and I had to get a new order. The staff was great about it and the second toast I got was perfect. They even took it off the bill. Our server was able to recommend some of their current favorites. We ordered their Beef Bulgogi Hash ( subbed with rice), Coffee Crusted Pork Belly Benedict and a couple of mimosas.
