I tried Brecotea after discovering it on Instagram, and the location is right on W Broad. Once I walked in, I was super amazed by how bright it was inside and the placement of the baked items. They had a glass wall displaying baked goods resembling a bookcase almost! They offered a variety from sweets like almond croissants to savory like chicken curry buns. I chose a garlic cheese bread (forgot the name) and a chocolatey bread bun. Prices were reasonable. The garlic cheese bread was soft and garlicky, though could use more cheese. The chocolate bun was pillowy soft, not overly sweet, but it surprised me with chocolate filling. Overall, a great experience, and I look forward to trying more! Just be aware it gets crowded, so finding a table might be tough.

I visited Brecotea a couple of weeks ago and since then I have Already placed a delivery order and sang its praise to everyone. They truly swept me off my feet, not just with delightful concoctions but also with a heartwarming ambiance. Brecotea won me over with delectable offerings and left me in awe of the enchanting atmosphere. Brecotea's cozy haven is a perfect spot for events and fashion shows. Intimate and inviting ambiance transforms it into an ideal venue for various occasions. Decor embraces you, creating an environment that elevates the entire experience. Charming decor, and staff trio, led by dynamic Ariel, knew every product and exuded passion, making the whole experience memorable. Impressed by youthful enthusiasm radiating from the team. When young minds take ownership, magic happens, and at Brecotea, they've truly harnessed that vibrant energy. Knowledgeable staff not only demonstrated familiarity with every product but also exuded a passion that resonated throughout the establishment, rare these days. What captivated me was contagious enthusiasm emanating from the youthful team. Witnessing these individuals take ownership and infuse their energy into Brecotea was nothing short of magical. Sincere advice to owners: let these rising stars shine - their commitment is a testament to the potential for sustained success. Now, let's delve into gastronomic delights that left an indelible mark on my taste buds. Recommendations by crew were nothing short of culinary brilliance - from velvety custard to ethereal macaroons and boba tea-inspired smoothie, each choice was a revelation. It's the macaroons that truly stole the show. Allow me to emphasize - these are, without a doubt, the finest macaroons I have ever had the pleasure of tasting, and my culinary journey has been extensive. Heartbroken over multiple locations because services and offerings almost always denigrate immediately. Personally, perfect your vision then spread out, but what do I know lol. Why not develop the existing locations? One of my biggest pet peeves. Also, where's your IG presence? Let the young people promote the store they represent, invite some local bloggers. Open your spot for salsa night, the sky's the limit! Just some free ideas, hit me up when you franchise, lol. Y'all got to try those dern crack-macrons! Don't take it from me, go check them out! I had the @we_hangryaf crew try the macarons and custard, and they left me nothing. Please consider sharing the recipe with me, I promise I won't tell, lol #BrecoteaDelight #HiddenGemDiscovery #DoubleJoyLocation #CozyCharm #ArielAndTheTribe #YouthfulEnthusiasm #MagicalAmbiance #BrecoteaMagic #FoodieHeaven #MacaroonMasters #CustardCrush #BobaBliss #EventElegance #FashionShowFiesta #YelpEliteEats #RVAFoodieApproved #YELPEliteApproved #CozyCharm #ArielAndTheTribe #YouthfulEnthusiasm #MagicalAmbiance #BrecoteaMagic #FoodieHeaven #MacaroonMasters #CustardCrush #BobaBliss #EventElegance #FashionShowFiesta #YelpEliteEats

This was the first Brecotea location we used to always go to before we started going to the other ones around the area. It's a small space inside. The drinks and cakes always taste great and the staff is friendly. It gets busy at times but we never had to wait too long. Love it!

I was unable to accompany my wife to the establishment but I was able to experience the coconut creme pastry, taro croissant, and taro boba tea once that she brought back home. I wish the coconut creme pastry had a bit more creme but the taro croissant had plenty of taro flavor and a crispy outer layer for the perfect combo. The taro boba was also quite delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of scraping the taro from the sides of the cup into the tea drink.

Four stars for a decent bubble tea (I got a mango slush, it wasn't fruit- I believe they used fruit containing syrups- still better than powder!). The drink was made to my specified sweetness. The baked goods were almost all sold out- it was later in the day. We did snag the cheesecake bites (which were great) as well as a beautiful and delicious mango mousse cake that had mango mousse layered with a very light chocolate sponge cake. It was so good, I would definitely come back just for that. The staff was really friendly and the store was nice and clean. Just a bummer all the non refrigerated goodies were sold out.

My go-to is the strawberry milk cap tea with 25% sugar and green tea jelly! It's my favorite boba to order in Richmond. The lower sugar allows you to taste the strawberry flavor mixed with the tea which is amplified with the green tea jelly. It is very cute boba shop and I always like to go after eating Pho nearby. I have not tried their desserts, but they have a good variety of Asian-inspired bakery and cakes.

DRINKS We ordered the brown sugar milk teas, mango milk teas, and jasmine milk teas with boba. They were all good and standard for what was chosen. The size options were medium or large (double the size of a medium), and there were both cold and hot drink options available. Most of us reduced the sugar levels to 50% and found it to be just the right amount as the boba itself was already sweet. PASTRIES There was a myriad of pastry options from matcha cheesecake, mango mousse, to tiramisu. We didn't order any, but they looked incredibly appetizing. AMBIANCE There's a good number of tables inside the store, and the decor is stylish and clean-cut. SERVICE We were those people and came in 30 minutes before closing. Our drinks were prepared quickly, and I would say we were in and out within 15-20 minutes upon ordering (considering we were a group of 8). PARKING There's a spacious parking lot in front of the store that is shared with neighboring vendors. It is easy to park in front of the store, and if not, a little walk across the lot.

Their pastry was just right! I like that their food was not to sweet just perfect!. The ambiance was so cute. So highly recommended!

The interior is your typical Instagram-able locations with two plush chairs, a sleek round table in between them and a classic white and pink flowers background. The place was packed when we went at around 8:30 PM on a Friday evening - seemed like everyone else had the same idea of grabbing boba after dinner, heh. My friend recommended the "Golden Oolong Milk Cap Tea" because she knew I liked oolong tea and because I don't usually see "milk cap" options for boba. I don't think you can really customize your sugar level for this drink, but the barista said that the pearls are sweetened so I added that to my drink and asked for no sugar. Drink came out super aesthetically, with the boba on the bottom, oolong tea in the middle, and milk cap on the top. I probably should have shook my drink to mix everything up first, but I was too excited to try it so I popped the straw in immediately after I snapped a quick picture. I liked the texture and chewiness of the pearls and the sweetness balanced the oolong tea well. I also really liked the milk cap and was able to mix it a bit in my tea. Super creamy and delicious. Love the taste of the oolong tea as well. I definitely would get this drink again and recommend it to anyone else who likes oolong tea!

My wife decided to take us here on a Saturday. Wow did not disappoint. It was truly heavy on earth. Their pastry is self served which provides an interesting experience. We decided to go with a savory and sweet mix of pastries. We could not stop smiling as we tried each pastry. It was truly incredible. Worth the drive for us. The pastry shop offers plenty of seating and decor is very upscale. Service was great offered to warm out pastries and they looked to be plenty staffed. Can't wait to visit again, it was an amazing experience and surprise.

First time here. Super cute, small, intimate and a lovely selection of desserts and drinks. We had the mango mousse, French cheesecake and soft baked cheesecake. My favorite was the French cheesecake. While here we found out there is a second location 2 miles away so we decided to check it out. It's four times bigger than the one we just visited. There is more variety of desserts and savory breads. Will definitely come again!

    Cute interior!

I'm not much of a tea connoisseur, so I'll admit the first time I came in I was a bit overwhelmed. There's all sorts of teas ranging from Milk, Yakult, Green, Fruit, boba, jelly, etc. I did know, however, that I like bubble tea, fruit flavors, and cream, so I went with the Strawberry Milk Cap Tea with boba, and oh my. It's good. Real good. I still can't quite say I fully understand what the "milk cap" part is, but it tastes a bit creamy, bitey like cream cheese, and salty like sea salt. It was, and I mean this in a positive way, almost like drinking a Strawberry Creampuff. I've been meaning to try another flavor and variety, but honestly every time I go I get the drinkable strawberry creampuff. The interior is also super cute. It almost feels like it would be the atmosphere you'd get at a wedding venue or an outdoor tea party, not that I've been invited to either one of those two things before, haha. (But I've seen movies!) My apologies for not approaching this review with the same level of professionalism as some of my others, but I really don't know too much about tea, but will say the drinks I've had from here are really tasty and in the very least suggest trying a Strawberry Milk Cap Tea!

    Marilyn B.

Not as nice as the Chesterfield location and not as good of an experience. Location is way smaller and didn't have nearly as much of a selection. The French cheesecake slice was pretty small for $5.25 and did not taste fresh. Taro milk paradise was not that great, I wouldn't order it again.

The man at the window was great in providing recommendations. I ordered the steak and cheese as well as the Banoffee. The preparation is already done and the man with assistant moved quickly to complete my order. I enjoyed my treats at their outdoor table and also enjoyed conversation with locals. I started with the steak & cheese which was loaded with meat and cheese. DELICIOUS! Then onto the Banoffee which smelled heavenly of cocoa. Another home run! I love bananas and if you do too this will be enjoyable. So glad I found them open on my visit. There hours are very good, but I have missed them in the Summer before on vacation.
