Spent the day at Lake Oswego and wanted a quick bite before heading home. The view is absolutely amazing! Especially at sunset. Kids were running around laughing and playing, everyone was in a great mood. People pulling in and out on their boats. The ambiance is the real winner here hands down. I will say that $15 for my teeny tiny wings (although they were delicious AF) was a bit much. I think next time I come (because I will go back, it's that great of a vibe) I'll just stick to the happy hour menu and hopefully won't feel as disappointed. Or at least get an actual meal for $15 and not just wings... I saw a few comments about the slow service and I noticed that too. It took a little longer than expected to get service once I was seated. But once the order was placed, everything did come out very quickly for me and the table next to me. I figure with any kind of waterfront/relaxed bar atmosphere you should anticipate a slightly slower experience than a typical restaurant and it didn't bother me at all. I have been coming here for many years and it has just gone downhill. Managers have always been nice and so are the servers and bartenders. Food is mediocre. One of the last times I was there they had ran out of almost all the food on the menu. How does an owner let that happen? There is no shade since all of the umbrellas were removed. Me and my buddy's were visiting little egg harbor for the weekend. As a group we decided to go out for dinner. The entrance to the place is quite strange, it takes an extra 2 minutes just to find the place. the menu had a few selections and there were many hidden fees we were not told about. The food is frozen overpriced garbage. Collectively we would've picked McDonalds over this place if we could go back. When we ordered, the waitress asked to pick from fries or chips for the sides, she did NOT clarify that they costed extra. The fries had an awful old oil taste to them. Our food came out relatively fast, not hot but warm. Everyone got their food expect one; who had to go inside and bring his own dish he ordered back to the table. When the bill came we thought we were being pranked. We were charged 28 dollars for 7 diet cokes, that were 80% ice, nonetheless we only ordered 5 diet cokes. there was a $40 service fee, and a mandatory tipped ALREADY included into the bill. the final price of the bill was $250.73. We tried to have an itemized bill. The lady had a grin on her face and said there was no way to do that on the machine. If you would like to spend over 250 dollars on frozen processed food this is the place for you! read more

Got the crab cake grilled cheese (which was delicious), but $19 with zero side dish! Moderate size. Very gooey cheese, buttery grilled Texas toast, hearty lump crab, and fresh slice of tomato (could've used more). Very tasty, but c'mon throw some chips, slaw, pickles, ANYTHING my way for $20 melted Kraft singles on bread. Cocktails were mainly a filled cup of ice with a sip of juice, not strong at all. Average price of $10. Coconut water mojito was mild and refreshing with fresh mint... but needed that buzz. Not many beers on tap but ample can choices. Breeze's atmosphere and location is unbeatable on warm sunny summer days. There's nothing like spending the afternoon sitting outside by the water listening to a live band. We used to visit often but since we sold our boat we haven't been nearly as much. The plan was to have a drink outside by the water on Father's Day and then head elsewhere for food. The weather was so beautiful and we had so much fun that we decided to spend the day. When we arrived there were tables and high tops available but soon after they all filled up. The two bartenders working outside were fantastic and worked hard the entire time we were there. We had some canned beer, draft beer, and a few different cocktails including an Orange Crush, Grapefruit Crush, and Strawberry Fields Forever. Breezes uses freshly squeezed juice for their crushes which we appreciate and the Strawberry Fields has freshly muddled strawberries. All of the drinks were refreshing and tasted great! To our surprise, the food was much better than we expected / remember from years ago. We split fries, clam strips, wings, and ahi tuna tacos. The fries were okay and seemed a little pricey for the amount they gave you but the wings and clam strips were both very good. The ahi tuna tacos were the star of the show! Large fresh chunks of tuna filled the taco shells and for the price they were definitely well worth it. I know I mentioned the bartenders earlier but they really were great for the few hours we spent at Breeze's. Very attentive making sure their customers were being taken care of, especially the people not sitting directly at the bar. Their drinks were great and they were quick to make multiple different drinks quickly at the same time. They were also very apologetic about the kitchen being backed up (to no fault of their own). Seeing how good of a time I had on Sunday makes me wish we still had a boat docked in the area. This is a great bar to visit on a warm sunny day especially after a day out on the water. read more

First- Destiny was a very good waitress. She was also well versed on how to talk to unhappy customers. I give her a 5 star for effort. 0. Before our meals came out, another table took his plate to Destiny with a complaint. Don't know what the complaint was, but this was a sign. 1. Our appetizer came out with our meal. Ugh. 2. My tostados ended up slipping and landing all over the server. Destiny offered to take off bill or get new one. It was my meal, so I asked for my meal- the shrimp and lobster tostados. I got them and the tostados were brown, not light tan. The corn tostados were overcooked/burnt. I did not think of it immediately and started eating. Something was odd. I lifted the lettuce off the tostado. There were three baby shrimp and a teensy bit of lobster. Not even a teaspoon of the "shrimp and lobster" that was to be on the tostados. I showed Destiny and her comment was "Oh, they went light on you." I will tell tell them. I also pointed out the corn tortillas were burnt. For $18, I got maybe three teaspoons of seafood on burnt tortillas. it was bad. Just bad. 3. The old-fashion cocktail was $18. For a single glass of alcohol that is normally $14-16 elsewhere, this was high. Thanks for the extra cherries though! 4. The beef tacos. The beef was dry on the ends- over heated. If this place wasn't on the water it would have been out of business years ago. My Dad and I stopped in there Sunday and sat at the bar for a few beers and lunch. The bartender had 4 people total at the bar and we damn near had to beg for another round and to place a food order. Got the "MackDaddy" burger which is supposed to be a double burger. Yeah right! The patties were slightly bigger than what you would see in a slider sandwiched in a Kaiser roll. It came with potato chips as a side since French fries seem to be a delicacy anymore. All for the low low price of $18. If you're ever boating in the area of Bass River, do yourself a favor, pack some cold beers, bologna sandwiches, and keep motoring. Went at 5:30 tonight a Saturday. Was expecting it to be busy but it wasn't. Asked to be seated outside but was told by the hostess they weren't seating outside because the servers were overwhelmed. My husband and I went to Breezes for GMF this weekend. I've heard it's always a good summer Sunday, and although having not so great experiences in the past, decided to give it one more try. Service? Awful. Beer? Warm. Bartenders? Rude. I watched a blonde girl in a pink Breezes tank shirt be so standoffish and rude to customers near the outside bar. Are the staff not taught about customer service? I used to love this establishment but I am not going back after this weekend. I have seen multiple reviews about rude staff and the restaurant never seems to to anything about it. It's sad that with not many local places, the one that is there is like this. Only came here because I saw that Goodman Fiske was playing. They are an awesome band and I enjoyed the outside entertainment very much. Looking forward to seeing them here next summer too! It was a nice fall day and perfect for being outside. Drinks were good and bar tenders seemed nice. There is plenty of space outside. I didn't get to try any food because I couldn't find a waitress though but I guess that's because it's the tail end of the season. Also, there was a sign on the entrance that said "No dogs. No colors. No smoking." I was shocked, but then I learned that "no colors" means no biker gangs and stuff like that. However, I still think the sign is inappropriate because of the obvious confusion. read more

Have been to Breezes a few times now. Service was never good and food is not worth the price!! I wanted to love the place. I live so close and enjoy going out for a glass of wine on occasion. Staff is definitely not attentive. It almost feels like they don't want to be bothered. The other night I decided to try it one more time. It was a very slow Friday night. Our bill was only 26.00 and left a.cash tip. 2 days later i see I was over charged by 25.00. I called and they tried to explain to me it must have been a mistake. An awesome place to check out when in South Jersey! This place is located within the Viking Yachting Center/Marina set back off of Route 9 and features a great view of the nearby Bass River. Breezes offers mostly seafood dishes as well as some steak and pork entrees, salads, burgers, and a variety of appetizers. During our visit, we tried the Texas Crab Melt with Fries and the Baja Fish Tacos, both of which were very delicious. The french fries are thicker cut and have a taste/texture similar to curly fries, the crab meat tasted fresh, and the tacos had a nice creamy sriracha mayo sauce which paired well with the fish. Drinks were ice cold, perfect for a hot summer day, and had a decent amount of liquor, but are a bit pricy around $10 each. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, the food tasted great, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was awesome. Occasionally, Breezes will have live music performers, they do also offer docking for boats, but it is worth mentioning that they do get crowded on the weekends in the summer so plan accordingly. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back soon!! read more

Discovered an incredible eatery right on the water that I wish I would have found years ago (And, no I am not related to the owners nor do I know them.). This quaint waterside restaurant has a simple ambiance that restaurant snobs might reject but if you enjoy breathing in fresh water scents this is the place for you. We sat on the deck enjoying a sunset with no flying insects to disturb our meal (Ok, I am sure there are seasons when an indoor window seat is preferred over the outdoors but not tonight. Happy hour brought $3 beer and $5 flatbread with crabmeat melted over with cheddar. The steamers were tasty and the Manhattan Chowder tasted of clams not tomato. The haddock sandwich was huge ... A great dinner choice with a waterfront view right next to Viking Yachts. Definitely CHECK IT OUT and make happy hour if you can! read more

Ordered the Baja Fish Tacos. Three came doused in some salty hot pepper powder. I could barely eat one of them. I was starving and never send anything back. Currently sitting here not knowing if the sick feeling I have in my stomach is from the spice or the entire taco. If I was in Mexico I'd be calling it montezuma's revenge. Husband got the dish sandwich - fair and nothing special. He asked if it came with fries and told it did but was charged a buck extra. No biggy but at least say it's a buck extra. Steak Frites implies tiny little fries, not the big commercial fries that come with it. I do not like the fries at all, but everyone is different with fries. They appear to be those twice fried type. Pork shanks dry according to hubbie. Steak cooked perfectly, although hard to eat with plastic silverware. Chimichurri sauce very vinegary? This is a place to drink, enjoy the view. We wanted to go when the outside container bar was open. I called them at 12:30 in the afternoon and was told that it would be opening by 4 PM. I drove 40 minutes from Bayville and arrange for another couple to meet us there. We arrived at 5:30 and the container bar was locked up tight. I spoke to the greeter And mentioned that I had called and was told the bar would be open. She looked at a young man who was standing nearby and he said oh yes, I was supposed to work there, but we decided not to open it. Very poor customer service and no consideration given to, what they had told me previously. It was a beautiful night, cloudy but nice. So the four of us drove back to the Bayville/forked River area and went to the waterfront where we proceeded to spend our money there. This is not the first time this has happened at breezes. Seems they open and close the Container bar on a whim. You have to do better than that. read more

This place sucks. We sat in 2 chairs at the outside bar. Bartender Jenny totally ignored us. We sat there with our empties on the bar and she never even looked up at us. She was very attentive to the regulars though. Finally after 20 minutes of being ignored, I had to yell for her to just bring us the check. We would of loved to stay and have a few more rounds, but it was obvious that Jenny didn't want us there, for whatever reason. This was the third and last time I'll be there. Being from St Pete FL, I have been to some fantastic dockside seafood bar/grills. This is not one of them. Service is lacking and poorly organized, our order took for-ev-ver, and the food was over sauced and lacking in flavor. The chef really needs to Let the fish or main ingredients shine. The chicken salad just tasted like sugary craisins, the Baja fish tacos had too much sauce and not enough slaw, and the tuna taco lacked flavor/seasoning. The chips need a lot more old bay to avoid General boredom and the fries need to be served hot. At these prices i expect far better food and service. read more

Good spot... really tasty fish tacos.. and the flying pigs are outstanding. Wings are very good.,with few different sauce options. Soft shell sliders are insanely good. Gotta do a better job with keeping the flies out... nothing worse then trying to enjoy your dinner while being engulfed by flies. Pretty good food, but the waitress was not wearing their masks, even though the law requires them to, even though we were making it completely obvious that we were not ok with it.
