Note, I only had the 300mbps internet plan so I can't speak to cable or phone. 1) Speeds: Like all service providers they advertise speeds UP TO whatever your plan is. This means that there are factors out of their control. For instance in my apartment complex in Groton my apartment was located on the opposite end of the building from the cable input room so I would see signal loss during peak hours and could never reach the 300mbps even during off hours. This happened with xfinity as well. TVC was quick in detecting these issues and did do some patchwork in the cable feed room to get me a slightly better signal boost. 2) Field Support: I'll say the technicians are knowledgeable and appreciate when you have an understanding of what you're dealing with. The 3 instances I dealt with them, install, signal strength, and interment loss of signal they were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Quick to diagnose and fix my problems. The key was I did do all the over the phone support you should typically do before requesting a technician. 3) Customer Service: Their customer service, both on the phone and in person are very good. In person you'll even get a few laughs as long as you aren't guns blazing when you get there. Ultimately they want your continued patronage so they'll do everything they can to accommodate you within reason. 4) Price-point: While they might not be the cheapest (they are as far as I know for the area) they are a no gimmick provider. What they advertise as price is what you're paying. There are no price hikes or promotional pricing that expires. I payed the same bill for 3 years. In fact when I started I only had a 100mbps plan and that was the most they provided. I got a free upgrade to 300mbps when that plan became available and my bill month to month was unaffected. 5) Nerd Stuff: I saw a complaint about internet protocol 4 vs 6. For reference, the every day user is unaffected by this. In fact no other provider in the Groton stonington area uses ipv6. Most national brands do not even use 6. This is a new technology slowly being rolled out. If you expect 6 out of a local company that's more on you for not asking up front. Overall TVC is a good company but before you request and sign into their service, do a little research and be an intelligent consumer.

He was awesome! He had great technical knowledge, was very friendly, and didn't have to worry about him being in my house, he was the bomb! Matt S. has been a technician for over 20 years and it shows, hint to Atlantic Broadband.. don't hire young kids who don't know nothing because you can pay them less. Now if the company should get their damn prices down we might keep them.

So I don't know if this happened to anyone, do you remember that Apple update like a year ago that messed up a few peoples cameras? Yea, it was a big deal, I even went on the Apple site to complain and request a new update to fix it. (basically camera is either black screen when opened, just freezes on whatever image while moving the camera, and when you do snap the photo the image never saves to the camera roll) I mean a real disaster especially because we all pay like $8000 a year for phones, services, accessories etc right? Fix the darn camera. So no big deal I kept doing upgrades and the camera was still broken. For over a year. Finally, I went straight to Apple in Providence Mall (over 1 hour drive, had to take 1/2 day vacation time etc). The first visit. Dan ran diagnosis, no problem with the camera, but the 'genius' could see the camera was clearly jacked up. So we did the whole thing, cloud backup, release to Apple ID, erase data, and now the restore from the icloud takes hours so I said "if I go home and reinstall and it doesn't work what will you do and he said, we will replace your phone.", so I drove home hooked to power source and on signed into my Wi-Fi but after everything downloaded I check the camera to NOT REALLY be surprised but to find a broken frigen camera sill. I was fumin HOT! But now Dan said Id get a new phone so, the following week, again took a 1/2 day vacation, I drove over an hour back up to Providence and couldn't have Dan, no they didn't even know who that was so I got Mike..... who Dan told me one thing that was wrong... so we literally did the exact same crap as Mr Genius Bar Dan... So I said now when the camera is still a mess... I'm getting a new phone right..Mr Genius Bar Mike said, "No, no, no, then we take your phone to the back... dissect it and replace the internal camera." WTF have I been driving up here for if all you going to do is give me a refurbished phone. So, internally pissed off, I smiled, shook his hand and I thanked him and did all that stupid mess again... when that camera was yet again still broke....I took my happy but right over to the Verizon in Groton. I showed the Verizon gentleman all the Apple Genius Bar notes and requests and two days of travel etc... just so he knew that this camera is freakin BROKEN, no water damage, no I never dropped it, never sat in the sun nothing it was that stupid Apple upgrade ... shoot look up my name from the complaints on Apple a year ago to confirm that it was an Upgrade malfunction please. So Mr Verizon guy was nice he was, he did his job as he was trained to do...talking to me that I could go through insurance and pay $100 or I could buy out the phone for my 18 months left on the contract for $490... and get into a iPhone 15... What? Wait...hold the heck up. Yo Yall messed up MY phone, I've been doing all this back and forth, up date, after up date all hoping that I'm doing the right thing...now I gotta pay to fix your mistake....NO I am so so sorry I don't think so. MIke's stated in the line while I called Frontier once again, and we spoke to Celina who said I was misinformed by Supervisor April regarding a credit for You tube.
