I don't understand why this place is so popular. We had breakfast. The potatoes were really... weird. They had such an odd, clashing flavor. The seasoning tasted like vinegar, sweet, and chile. Not good. The bacon was not crispy and also didn't taste quite right. I guess they have their own ideas of what makes "good" spice combinations. Further, while our server did the basics, he was slow and loved standing around and bullshitting. Lastly, the parking situation alone is enough to not go there. Never any spaces. read more

The restaurant seems disorganized and chaotic. Waitlist is always long, we thought for good reason but were quickly disappointed. We ordered our food and the burger came out with no bun! The hash we ordered had a sad piece of toast instead of a tortilla like we ordered. The biscuits nearly choked us and the "pancakes" were soggy and somehow flavorless. We really wanted to like this place since it's in our neighborhood. The food was okay and a bit over priced for what you get. I ordered the breakfast burrito. The bacon was undercooked, the cheese was still cold and the potatoes where dry. The red chile was the only saving grace. My husband ordered the bananas foster french toast and a side of bacon. The french toast was good but a bit sweet and the bacon was over cooked and crumbly. To top it off, our server was not friendly and took awhile to serve us even though we were the only ones in the restaurant when seated. read more

I had high hopes for this place and unfortunately it disappointed greatly. I'm not sure if it was just the day I happened to go, but the fried chicken hash was tasteless. We ordered a brisket eggs benedict and the presentation was beautiful. Once again, the potatoes on the side had no flavor, and the sauce on the Benedict was overly sweet. One of the eggs was poached hard. The waffle was quite good with the texture and flavor being spot on. The ambiance is nice and the drinks are a nice touch, but it feels as though there is too much going on at the moment. Our server seemed overwhelmed and confused, and she never smiled when she came by. The owner (or so it seemed) checked on other tables and skipped over ours. Investing in more equipment for the front of house staff (a system to coordinate a waitlist rather than pieces of paper) would be a great start. Really really enjoyed this spot. As a native of Albuquerque, who hasn't lived there for 13 years, it's nice to see someone shoot for a higher end and modern take on breakfast. The atmosphere was fun and energetic and I loved the choice in music. The food was mighty tasty. We started off with Strawberry Cheesecake Crepes as an "appetizer." They were tasty, sweet and not super heavy. No, they aren't "crepes" but they are advertised as a take on crepes and were still very good. Also more substantial than a traditional crepe, which was cool. But the highlight, for me, was the Chilaquiles. They were delicious. Traditional with that modern take- I really enjoyed the fresh arugula on top and the pickled jalapeño/onion as a garnish. They added a much needed flavor pop in what can be a relatively simple dish. Service was great. Drinks were NEVER empty, not once. It's obviously a team effort so things were moving quickly and we never had an issue with a delayed need as the staff was constantly checking in on us. While on vacation selected this establishment by the reviews. Really cute place with good service but a little disappointed with the food. S'mores French toast and cinnamon toast crepes came to the table cold! Manager asked how everything was and immediately remade plates. The crepes were not crepes but pancakes rolled to look like crepes - not the best but we ate them so we could wrap up breakfast quickly. When it comes to any type of restaurant, quality of food and service should always be at its best, with this visit it was nice that the manager did take care of dining issue quickly. read more

We were told the wait was 40 minutes. After 40 minutes we were told by the hostess twice that the wait would be 20 additional minutes both times. We ended up leaving without nobody coming to our table and walked out. This is a new restaurant and they have no process or organization. Very dysfunctional. read more

Got seated then got bypassed when it was time to order for people who were seated after us. They also called me to tell me my table was ready after I had been. Waiting 10 minutes to order. Pretty nice for a Sunday breakfast. Unfortunately my avocado toast with eggs was cold, as well as the other 3 meals served at our table. Unfortunately it took more than 5 minutes for the server to check how was our food. At that point, after the initial 15 to 20 minute wait for our meal, to return food to wait again wasn't our preference. Surprisedly there was no offer for a discount or taking the coffee charge off the bill. Kind of disappointing Sunday breakfast with cold food and lukewarm coffee. I hope they can up their game. I had a party of 2 on a Friday morning--we were told the wait would be about 20 mins. We probably waited around 12 and were seated right away. It did take a few minutes for our server to check in with us and take our order but she was very polite and friendly. Waited another 5 mins for our food (WOW), probably the fastest service I've had in ABQ. And they were PACKED, so I know that kitchen was on top of it! I ordered the Breakfast Burger w/ French fries, my boyfriend ordered the Pork Belly Benny's and we shared the Cinnamon Caramel Crepes. All the food was hot, fresh tasting and we got all 3 plates at once which was a nice change for us dining in Albuquerque! The Breakfast burger was a good combination of savory and sweet, although it did start to feel heavy after a while--I'd consider adding a more fresh side option like a fruit cup or salad just to balance it out a bit more. Crepes were decadent and so yummy! We had a hard time stopping ourselves from eating them. I did have a few not as positive things that I wanted to comment on, seating being one of them. They have high tables, low tables but sadly, no booths. It's a very personal thing and it didn't affect our experience all that much but it would be nice to have a more cozy spot to sit. It can get pretty loud, It's a small-ish space, so if you're introverted or sensitive to sound, this may be something to consider when dining--sitting outside may be a better option. The last thing I would comment on is, although we got our food super fast (amazing), no one came to check up on us for a long time after we got it. We finished our meals before someone came by again to offer water, but we were already wanting the check. No biggie for us, just something to consider. Despite those things, I'd say it was a really great experience for us. The food was good, the hosts and servers were kind, and it was honestly pretty affordable for the quality! This was a very bad lunch experience. So loud with music and people talking loud to hear each other. Wait time to get an order, clean the dirty table we sat at, and get our food was almost an hour and we had breakfast. We had to move to another table as the two couples we initially sat by were so loud and rude and clapping and yelling. The food was not good and we left with food on our plates and a bad taste for the experience. The first time I ate there was good and this time the quality and service was SUB par and I will not be back. Also, it feels very dirty in there and the bartender was on a personal call with ear buds in and walking around the bar speaking in her phone. No attention to customers. So disappointing. read more

Service is decent, service is ok if you need something you ask 4 different people and finally get what you ask for. "WAY " too much on the menu ! Apparently they don't have food warmer's , the bacon was cold along with everything else. Seemed like it's all precooked and a totally a drag. A lot of hype , doesn't surprise me because people like all the flash , menu is way too big not a good sign. That's why the food is like warm or cold when it comes out. Went there for breakfast and ordered the juevos rancheros green which is my go to when trying a new restaurant. Pleasantly surprised. It was different enough to make it a unique experience without going overboard. Smashed potatoes were a nice touch. Seated quickly but took a while before waitress got there but it was busy so I complaint. Overall a pleasant experience although a bit pricey especially the coffee. Prefer places with specials that include coffee with breakfast. I'll give it another try for lunch or brunch. read more

I'm a 50 yr experienced chef and you guys are spot on in Rio Rancho, NM. Service at the bar was bank. The girls. Sorry, I forgot the girls names ??? Big eye lashes gal and a blonde women were giving Rio Rancho what that need. Tipped them well. 2 days later I'm eating an incredible leftover berry salad. Still fresh as could be. Awesomeness thanks. We are trying the ABQ Comanche location Sunday Sunday 3/15/25 at Comanche I was excited to have lunch with a long time friend who dines in at Vick's Daily several times a week. So I shared the review about Brekki Brekki with him and invited him to try something different since he lives close to Brekki Brekki Abq. We met and he was sitting at the table waiting for me, as soon as i sat I noticed the music and noise was horrible, he kindly asked the served if its possible to change the playlist.  The horrible experience just begins, she drilled him on what type of music he likes in a very obnoxious way and I thought she was beginning to argue with my guest (you guest) to end this childish conversation I intervened and said a jazz or blues. She said she had to ask the manager.  Well the music was making me very anxious and well and I almost suggested we leave, well we should have. The food arrived barely warm, the potatoes were an insult the the culinary world. Baking a small Potatoe, then deep frying it then smashing it , how much simpler could that be.I would suggest and alternate choice like nice home fries or a simple standard hash brown.  3.50 a cup of coffee and never offered a refill, but the young hostess who was spectacular fill our water 6 times. Thank You hostess. Then Kristin the manager asked how everything was and I said horrible and said the music was awful, she then stared an argument with me. "You are not the only one in this restaurant" I told her nicely that i did not want to leave you a bad review since Rio Rancho was so Awesome. But she should at least apologized.Well the circus must go on. She walks away in a huff. Then the server Gave us the check and advised us that we can pay with the QR code.  I never did that before but I was curious and did that.  I put my credit card number in exp date and security code and pressed submit. That appeared to be normal. We  sat for a  bit and I asked the server Miriam nicely , how do you know if people actually pay, she said her tablet leaves it as an open check. Oh that made sense. And i told her i paid via QR code. We sat for a bit and she approached us and assumed I was going to give them a bad google review and started another argument.  I told her she should not make assumptions that i was leaving a bad review and she should not make the guest feel threatened, I told her I had such a great experience in Rio Rancho and I was not going to bash Brekki Brekki with a google review. So I tracked down an email address via FB and  told her that I was being very respectful by communicating the horrible experience via email not on google. We left and were gracefully thanked by the hostess'.  We left and chatted a bit outside near the front door. A few minutes went by and the angry serviced ran out accused me of not paying the check, I said i told you at the table  I paid via the QR. It appeared she has to win this battle, then the African American assisted manager came out with a bit  of a  intimidating manner,  i told him i paid with the QR code, put my cc number, exp dt, security and a 15% tip ( that was not well earned ) I said wait lemme check my back app, sure enough it was not withdrawn. He then obviously knew that It was a simple error and he became very nice.  We went through the process again and he kindly helped my. Pointing out that i had to wait till a zero balance was confirmed.  I suppose i was so frazzled by this whole escapade that i wasn't paying attention after i hit submit. apparently there is a final confirmation I missed, i do apologize.  If you could have seen the new customers faces as they were entering while the server was yelling at two old men on the sidewalk me 67 and 70ish. You should probably review problem management practices with you team.  Especially Kristin as the leader should be setting a good example for her team.  The assistant manager ended up being very nice and he was the only one who apologized.  I live in Rio and on the way back I stopped back into to Brekki Brekki for a drink and the atmosphere was so much nicer& civil read more

Once we received a text about our table being ready we walked inside and were a bit confused. There was no host up front or anyone to greet us or lead the way to our table for about 5 minutes. We've been crazy busy lately and eating out a lot. My husband wanted something different. Thanks Yelp for finding this place just 0.3 miles away. I ordered take out sight unseen. We tried this new place based on all the amazing reviews on social media apps. However, the food was less than amazing. We did have to wait an extended amount of time for our food but it was crazy busy while we were there. My wife got the fried chicken skillet and I ordered the crispy pork belly skillet. One of the first things is the dishes did look put together well and the eggs were cooked nicely. Unfortunately, it can look pretty all day but there was not sufficient seasoning happening in anything, the eggs, the fried chicken, or the potatoes. To be honest, the smashed potatoes were a huge disappointment. The only flavor was from the skins of the potatoes but not in a good way. It was very over powering and unpleasant. The feeling of the restaurant is a higher end establishment, which to me means the Chef should be confident in using salt and pepper throughout the entire dish. I will say the biscuit was very light and fluffy and the sausage gravy was also tasty. However, those two items won't be enough to bring us back anytime soon. read more
