Been wanting to come here and finally did Doesn't look like nothing special but clearly by the amount of people that frequent is telling. As you come in there's a giant menu on the wall or you can grab a physical menu. You order and pay before getting a # and sitting yourself. Staff is very attentive. We ordered the artichoke dip and Asian chicken salad. Both were delicious. The salad has crispy chicken pieces and has plenty of cashews, cheese, wonton crisps, tangerine pieces, and comes with a little cheese biscuit. There's lots of menu choices which I like a big variety. Our Artichoke and spinach dip was warm and delicious with fresh chips and salsa.

I really loved Brett's and I'm glad we stumbled upon it. The food was really delicious and they had so many things to choose from. You order at the front and pay and then they bring the food to your table. The staff were friendly and they checked on us a couple of times while we ate. We had fried cheese bits, a Buffalo chicken quesadilla, and tomato bisque soup. All of it was amazing. It's nice for a little order and eat place. I can understand why people say the service isn't great because it was teenagers working but they kept the place clean and checked on us so I had no issues.

This spot was outstanding. Had the buffalo chicken quesadilla with onion rings. Soooooo delicious. The prices are reasonable and the seating/atmosphere is diner-like. Give this place a visit when you're in the area.

Food was pretty good. I had the black and blue quesadillas. The menu said they were chicken. I didn't read it that close. I've never had black and blue with chicken . They were good but I would have gotten a sub at Larry's or a steak sandwich. Oh well. My wife had a salad with walnuts and told them no chicken. They put chicken on it. Oh well.

Athens is the first stop of an SEC college tour for my high school girls and after getting screwed by Avis giving us a lame-ass minivan rather than the Jeep that I reserved and our hotel being below Hilton standards (despite being a Hilton), a good, enjoyable dinner is what we were looking for. Compounding this issue was the fact that it was Valentine's Day on a Saturday night; for the record, VD is the absolute worst day in the world for guys. Most restaurants had waits of 45+ minutes and our appetites simply weren't in a position to cooperate with such a delay. We stumbled across Blind Pig Tavern and we immediately felt welcome. The staff was great, my spicy margaritas hit the spot and our food was A+. I went with the blackened fish sandwich and it had great flavor and it wasn't heavy. My girls enjoyed their salads and the nacho appetizer was devoured in five minutes flat. The best experience of our evening at Blind Pig Tavern was Mattie, our server. Not only was she friendly and engaging, but she has earned the title of the "Best Athens, Georgia Ambassador... Ever!" Her knowledge about the town she's grown up in and advocacy for attractions on and off the UGA campus was more than appreciated. Her livelihood and pride of her hometown and customer engagement has easily earned her this official/unofficial title! Please check out Blind Pig Tavern for some great eats and, if you're lucky, you may have Mattie as your server. And if you're from out of town, she'll immediately make you feel right at home.

Tried several types of burgers and sandwiches. Burgers were done as requested/ sides were good. Onion rings are fried-not the frozen and baked kind like some places. Slaw is good and fresh. But friend said the black beans were good-not overcooked and mushy. The fries were crisp. The sandwiches were on toasted bread and were tasty. Service: Servers were pleasant and helpful. Facility: Old but well maintained. Location: Conveniently located in a large strip mall with lots of parking. Other restaurants , grocery stores, etc nearby.

The food: I went with the Fried Chicken Blue Plate. Between the regular and the Nashville Hot, the Nashville was the winner--flavorful and moist without being overwhelming with the spice. Huge shoutout to my server for suggesting the brussel sprouts; that glaze is incredible and they were easily my favorite part of the plate. The mashed sweet potatoes were unique--I'm still debating if I liked them or loved them. The jalapeño cornbread was a bit sweet for my taste but on par with most restaurant cornbread. The mac & cheese wasn't bad, but also didn't do much for me like most restaurant mac & cheese. The cocktail: Do not sleep on Nana's Naissance. I wasn't sure what to expect from the ingredients, but it's like an elevated take on Rumchata. The service: I was seated at the bar and experienced a noticeable delay--a group that arrived well after me almost finished their meal before mine arrived. However, the waitress acknowledged the wait before I even had to mention it and made things right. I really appreciate that kind of proactive service. We're all human, and they handled the situation very professionally.

Nestled in a gorgeous building that was once a residential house, the restaurant has a gorgeous and cozy ambience that makes you feel like you're visiting with friends from the moment you enter. The menu changes with the seasons, and I've never been less than impressed with the often-inventive dishes. I highly recommend starting with their cast iron cornbread. It sounds simple, but it's truly elevated. Right now, the sweet potato brown butter pierogies are absolutely mouth-watering, and the hazelnut bread pudding is rich and a perfect blend of sweetness and cream. The waitstaff is top notch and you'll receive better, more attentive service here than at restaurants with much larger price tags in Atlanta. They also have an impressive cocktail program and wine list. On the "it's the little things" list, the candles 5 & 10 uses in the restroom are outstanding! They sell them and they're spendy, but worth it.
