I really wanted to like this place, but the experience was disappointing overall. We came in after hearing about Brew Craft Bar & Kitchen from a work friend and were excited to try it. We started with the "pretzel bites," which turned out to be pretzel sticks--not a big deal, but definitely not what was advertised. They came with stone ground mustard, and surprisingly there's no option for regular mustard at all... at a burger place, which is kind of mind-blowing. The food itself wasn't terrible. The smash burger with pickled onions was actually very good--greasy in a good way and full of flavor. However, the fries were undercooked and fell flat. What really ruined the experience was the service. Our server was extremely rude and completely disengaged. When we asked about the beers, she just pointed out there was a QR code on the menu and left it at that--no help, no suggestions. We asked about non-alcoholic beer options and got a blunt "no," with zero effort to offer alternatives. When she came to take our order, she just stood there without greeting us or saying anything, which was awkward and unprofessional. Throughout the entire visit, she never checked on us once. We wanted to try this place because we saw good reviews but we did not have a good experience. We sat at the bar for 15 min waiting to order a drink. The bartender was not friendly. It honestly felt like we were bothering her. She didn't check on us, offer a refill of drinks which we would have definitely ordered another, and we were sitting at the bar. We also ordered nachos with the pico and corn salsa on the side, because there was an allergy, and they gave us a little cup you would use to get ketchup in. We've eaten here a few times. The food and service seem to be a hit or miss. We get either really great service and food or terrible service and bland food. The burgers are good and so are the fries. The wings had no flavor. The zucchini fries definitely needed some seasoning. I've had them before and they were really good but not this time around. They also should've been fried longer. Tried the chicken sandwich and that also lacked flavor. I really want to like this place but they need better management and maybe a better menu. read more

The patio could be good but you couldn't escape from the sun at all. And it needed better tables and chairs. Went to see a friend play. I ordered the three chicken tacos, from the time of order to a plate in front of me 42 minutes and we were the only table in the restaurant seated at the time. There were 5 people at my table. My tacos must've sat in the window for a very long time cause that (for lack of a better term) the taco shells were stale even though the salsa and chicken were extremely wet. For 14 dollars the tacos were over priced and the appetizers pretzel sticks also suffered the same fate of being particularly stale and did not come with the mustard as was on the menu. Also my iced tea tasted fermented. I also ordered deep fried Oreos but I over heard the cook complain about making them so due to circumstances we canceled the order. All in all, my friends who drink said the beer was good but the food was mediocre at best, our server spent more time talking and laughing with her coworkers than checking on our line table. This is a detour I will do more often. The parking is very easy, it's in a plaza near the courthouse. There is an extensive beer selection. Various styles too. They also have a good food menu that has a nice variety of food types. Clean establishment, and I like how the interior is laid out. It's not a very large place but they also have a lovely covered patio so I look forward to trying it out next time. The service is very good, friendly staff all around. I ordered the onion rings and the best sriracha aioli came with it. Wow, what a great combo. It's a holiday Monday...and the music is perfect for the gen x-er. Lol. Just awful today. We were a fan three years ago when the food was terrific (thanks Tom), the bartender experienced, personable and helpful to make us feel welcomed with a full spread of beer and choices. We even bought two venue t shirts then (which I will retirn and drop off at the front door soon). Each time since has been worse and worse. Today, the small menu was even smaller since three sandwich items were out of stock which the bartender didn't mention up front but seemed to know including not revealing to another customer who attempted to order one of the same items I did after us. Several beers were "kicked" and the drink choices unbalanced and incomplete. Plus the order was mishandled (write order items down please) and the flavor just so subpar it ruined a sorely needed Friday afternoon date. If you are gonna charge $60 to $80 for a couple outing of burgers, fries and two draft beers then it had better be good. Shame on me for trying this time. No more. read more

Good restaurant and tap house We came in on a weekday for lunch and it was very quiet. Their beer selection is outstanding with tons of drafts. The service was ok, but we were the only ones in there. Ok this honest review has to be written. So we ALL know the joke in chesterfield is "this place has the worst service". I get that. We all have gone knowing that. My wife ordered shrimp tacos. Waitress comes back saying "sorry we don't have shrimp but he ran to grocery store to get more." Ok whatever. We wait. Then 30 mins later "oh actually we have no taco shells". So she orders a burger. 2.5 hours! Visit 2 (tonight) - 2 tables seated. Right off the bat "so we have no chicken so ignore everything on the menu with chicken." Ok that's 30% of the menu. WHO IS IN CHARGE OF SUPPLIES. So 2 of our meals come. Then 15 minutes later the third meal. Then 30 minutes after (and we're all done eating), my son's SALAD comes. A salad. When there's only 2 tables seated why is there a 30 minute gap between first plate and late plate? Also , the shrimp taco shrimp wasn't peeled so you have to take it out of the taco and peel it? Like this place is a bad joke. These are not exceptions. It's every time. We tried waiting a couple years. The place is a dumpster fire. It's not the staffs fault. They're nice and pleasant. The food when you get it is actually good. It's MANAGEMENT. They need to know that the entire surrounding neighborhoods use Brew as a punchline. "At least it's not Brew" is a thing people say. My husband and I spotted in after a hike at Pocahontas State Park. Brew is a quaint little gastropub with a nice outdoor patio. Brooklyn, our server was very attentive and helpful. They had a great selection of beers and ciders. We ordered the BLT Pimento Burger and the "Blue"min Onion Burger and split them. Both were very good. Okay, the service is abysmal, neglectful, and rude. There is only one thing worth ordering, here. The tacos. Burger was a like a rock. Flavor..nope. Greek salad was just leaves. It had one small piece of tomato. Our drinks were empty for quite a while. We got someone else to get more. Plates were never cleared. Any complaints? Um my friend did not eat her burger. She wanted to send it back, but the waitress didn't come back for about 20 minutes. She gave up and shared some food. They were reluctant to take the burger off the bill. Look. I love the convenience of this place. It is close. They have a ton of beers. The food is really good and creative, albeit small portions for the price. It's a small business and at this time frame, they need to do whatever they can to survive (higher prices for the portion received). But that comes at a price. I have frequented this place for years. And the reality is the service has been consistently terrible. I mean awful. Servers who "don't like beer" or "the menu doesn't match the availability of menu items (we are out of XYZ)." I go because their beers are plentiful and they rotate. The vibe is great. Small. Quiet. Cool seating area (except the bar room chair are not super uncomfortable) I like it here. But I want to love it. I just can't. Anyone in my neighborhood who talks about this place continually agrees that it's about the worst service they've ever had. There is a kids menu (which is not printed) but the servers seem to never know what it is - you have to ask. AND You have a question about a beer? Don't get your hopes up, on at least three occasions a serves has said either they are new to work there or they don't like beer. Don't count on the menu or untapped to be accurate. To their credit they constantly rotate beers once a keg taps. But they do a terrible job of keeping the menu up to date. Flavors of food again are great. So come here with the expectation of enjoying your food/drink, but have plenty of time to spare. You won't be checked on regularly. It's best to order when you have 3/4 to 1/2 a beer left. Any more you'll be running an empty glass for a WHILE. Fix service. Fix communication. This could be 5/5 but right now it's a 3/5 (at best). read more

This is a small bar with a very nice selection of beer. I was here on a Wednesday night and they were playing Singo. A combination of bingo and name that song. It was very loud when I first entered, but I quickly acclimated. The music was great and there was a nice crowd. I ordered the beer braised beef sandwich which came with fries. The sand which tasted much better than it looked. I would definitely get it again. The fries looked better than they tasted. Also I would have preferred Heinz ketchup to what I assume was there house made ketchup. All in all a friendly nice place. They had a good sour ale from Belgium on draft, which was very cool. Three meals. The menu has a wide variety of excellent dishes and I've never been disappointed by anything. The food is creative and innovative as well as delicious. The service is lackluster. The employees in my three visits tend to talk to each other and just kind of "hang around". They're nice when they're in action, but that's not all that often. That's consistent for all three of my visits. I'm not a beer drinker, so maybe I miss some of the dining value of Brew, but for simply eating a meal and getting served well, it's still very good.
