Food is great, staff is great, and they have 40 beers on tap. Their patio is comfy in the evenings and they even allow doggos. Defintely try them out.

    Lovely lovey beer selection!

This is a detour I will do more often. The parking is very easy, it's in a plaza near the courthouse. There is an extensive beer selection. Various styles too. They also have a good food menu that has a nice variety of food types. Clean establishment, and I like how the interior is laid out. It's not a very large place but they also have a lovely covered patio so I look forward to trying it out next time. The service is very good, friendly staff all around. I ordered the onion rings and the best sriracha aioli came with it. Wow, what a great combo. It's a holiday Monday...and the music is perfect for the gen x-er. Lol. It's a good vibe and I can see that the staff has local customers and I like seeing the rapport there. I will definitely return.

I have been in the mood for 2 days for a burger. Decided to hit up Brew to try a burger from them. Asked the server if I should get the "Blue"min Onion burger or the Smash and before I could finish he said the Smash. I'm not a picky person in general but when I am in the mood for something it's got to hit or I leave disappointed. I must say the smash burger hit the spot. This is going to be my new burger spot over the old Burger Bach I used to cling to for my fix.

This is an American food restaurant and neighborhood bar so it's popular in the area. There's a Greek restaurant in the same shopping center that is one of my favorite lunchtime places for quality food at a good price, so I see Toast from time to time when I'm picking up takeout. We arrived around 2 p.m., so after the lunch rush. They do a good brunch on the weekends, but I wasn't in the mood for breakfast and brunch so I made sure they were serving the lunch menu. We ended up just sitting at the bar. They had golf on the tv so my husband could watch while we were chatting. For drinks we ordered a margarita and an old fashioned. They were as expected. For our meals, my husband ordered the crab and shrimp,p nachos, which surprised me. He's a salmon fan so I thought he'd go that route for his meal but he said he really enjoyed the nachos. I got the Thai salad with ahi tuna. My salad was just what I wanted...healthy and tasty. Toast is definitely a great restaurant and if I lived nearby, I'd be here on a regular basis.

This is the restaurant in the lobby of the Omni, and their room service menu has a really solid variety. Appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, fish, chicken, steak, seafood, other meat options, plus plenty of sides and desserts. There's something for whatever mood you're in. For my appetizer I ordered the fried green tomatoes. I'm very picky about fried green tomatoes because if they're not done right, they can be greasy and heavy. These were not. They were thick wedges of firm green tomatoes in a light batter, stacked with a spread of pimento cheese and finished with a drizzle of honey. The balance of savory and sweet worked really well, and the texture was exactly what I look for -- crisp outside, tender yet firm inside. For my entrée I chose the roasted lamb rack. It came as two double ribs over a sweet potato purée that had a subtle hint of cinnamon -- really nice flavor without being overpowering. The lamb was cooked to the right temperature, juicy and tender, with a light chimichurri and vegetables alongside. I also ordered the grilled corn succotash as a side -- corn, beans, and tomato. It was fresh and bright and complemented the richness of the lamb perfectly. This is my second time dining here. The first time I had breakfast out on the Westham Porch, and both experiences have been very pleasant. The service has been consistent, the food is thoughtfully prepared, and it's a great option whether you're dining downstairs or ordering up to your room.

There are a few dishes on the menu that vegetarians and pescatarians can enjoy. We tried the fried green tomatoes(not shown here), which I was initially apprehensive about because I'm not really a fried-food kind of person. Surprisingly, they weren't too greasy and had great flavor. Be careful, though, because they come with a medley on top that is pork-based. If you are pescatarian, remember to ask them to remove it. We did, however, have the beet salad with goat cheese, and oh my God delicious. My wife and I both had the shrimp with risotto, which was cooked to perfection and had wonderful flavor. We absolutely loved it!

It was like a Southern charcuterie board and was honestly pretty substantial. This started things off on a very high note. It was beautiful presented, carefully curated, and it tasted excellent. One question though, how are they not offering a ham sandwich with that amazing ham? What a highlight that was with their pickled onions. My husband had the catch of the day, which was sword fish and he ordered the pimento Mac and cheese on the side. I had a chance to try both and was very impressed. My father ordered the bone in pork chop, which is I must say, was the star dish. My mother had the cavatelli, which she actually finished and she never finished anything! And lastly, I had the burger, which despite asking for it to be medium rare I received it well done. It was still good and it maintained moisture, so I won't dock a point for that and the fries it came with were terrific. One thing is for certain, they clearly put a lot of thought into the menu. Every dish is clearly very well thought out. I really enjoyed the cocktails. My husband and I had a mojito and a strawberry mojito. They were both terrific. Initially though, my husband had ordered the horchata probibida. He asked to send it back because it didn't taste anything like horchata. As far as service is concerned, our waiter was excellent. Personable, knowledgable, friendly. You can't really ask for more. The ambiance was really nice. It had a polished, modern feel that made us feel comfortable to sit back with a cocktails and enjoy our time together. As far as I'm concerned, Williamsburg has no shortage of places that cater to visitors, but the Amber Ox is a restaurant that would be sought out regardless of the city that it's in. I highly recommend visiting here and this will be a place I visit again when I return to Williamsburg.

It's a very popular restaurant, so today, when we entered, while we were greeted right away, there was a 30 minute wait. There's no physical menus, instead you scan a QR code which brings you to their menu. They have lots of drink options, including several specialty cocktails, beers, and ciders. Our waiter was super sweet and attentive, and the food came out relatively quickly. For my drink, I ordered a local cider from a Virginia ciderie, as well as the It's A Wrap, which has cheddar, ranch, mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and your choice of protein (I got tofu). I also got a side of the Mac and cheese, which I could tell was made in house. Super creamy and flavorful with a hint of spice. My wrap was also insanely good! I'm impressed by the amount of vegetarian options here. Any burger can be made both gluten free or vegan, and the choices of protein make it more accessible for everyone who comes in. I'm really happy we were recommended this place!
