I used to love getting sandwiches here until they started cutting them in half. I get a half sandwich for $10. Yes it's a seven dollar sandwich but I usually add a few things that make it come out to $10. Not to mention I get 2, one for me one for my wife. Which means I'm paying over $20 for one sandwich basically. Because I'm getting 2 half sandwiches. I get gluten-free bread, so I pay extra for that, and they only give me one piece of bread. I've actually emailed them to ask them to either label it as a half sandwich so that I know I'm getting charged $10 for a half sandwich or give me two pieces Of bread on my sandwich. No response. If I substitute for a bagel I still get a full bagel top and bottom they don't cut that in half and they don't charge extra. Doesn't make sense that I pay an extra dollar and get less food. I'm definitely still hungry after I eat the half sandwich. It used to be so much better when they gave you two full slices of bread instead of a half sandwich. read more

First off let's talk about the view! Wow, there are historical houses right outside and a magical stone cathedral in your eyeline as you gaze out the window from their plush couches. The atmosphere and the service really makes you feel like youre still curled up at home. It's easy to walk to and with all the welcoming windows it invites you to sit down, rather than grab something to go like most coffee shops. I ordered the iced chai, which is pacific organic herbs mixed with milk of your choice. It's spicy in all the right ways. They serve their drinks in mason jars and free pour/ brew each cup of coffee to order. They are in process of obtaining their beer and wine license in order to offer a different sort of kick to your afternoon. ;) I highly recommend coming in for a brew. read more

This is a cool little place with a fun, relaxed ambience. The staff was really friendly and they have good beer specials on Tuesday (along with a fun little trivia hour). The only semi negative I would say is that I thought the panini was a little pricey for what a got (panini was good, but small and the chips were pretty salty). We come here every Sunday, I honestly don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review! Probably because I'm so relaxed and pleased once I leave I'm too lazy to write one! Delicious food and traditional coffee drinks, the neighborhood can be a little rough at times but the staff is great about making a comfortable environment and asking (on one occasion a sleeping homeless man on the sidewalk right next to the outdoor seating) to leave. What a wonderful lunch spot for a scrumptious turkey panini accompanied by a super fresh green salad and served with million$$ smiles and care. I've been in search of best paninis and this turkey was high quality. Cheddar was a perfect pairing. The fruit spread provided the hint of cranberry-ness. Other seasoning brought it up to a 10! I actually held the cream cheese as it seemed too rich. Next time I'll trust the chef. Partner had an avocado toast on Pullman bread - very thick and toasted perfectly with nutty seeds, lemon, and some yummy spice. We chased it with two ginger cinnamon teas they call "sorrel" and left with million$$ smiles ourselves. There were two items that beckoned from the sweets case but we resisted until our return: coconut cream pie, and a gluten free oatmeal baked like a nice cakey square! read more

I came here for trivia with Jake Ward. It's a nice cozy spot that was the former Donut Hut. They've turned the place into something great. Serving snacks, freshly brewed coffee beverages, and craft beers, if you're in the area, definitely check it out. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that this coffee house has free Wi-Fi. I came in on a Saturday morning after a workout looking for a caffeine pick-me-up and some breakfast. It had a very warm and welcoming vibe, the baristas were very helpful as I scoured the menu trying to decide what I wanted. I ended up settling on a large almond milk latte and a bacon breakfast burrito. That added up to $14 which seemed a little steep to me. Perhaps it's because I got the sour cream and salsa? Regardless, I wasn't super impressed with the burrito, it was fine but very seasoned and not a great value. The place did have a nice bar area in addition to lots of cozy seating around the cafe where people were sitting and talking. Lots of families there and a very open and welcoming vibe to everyone. There were games and cards out, and newspapers which I just find so endearing on a rainy weekend morning. I'll definitely come back and try something else from the menu. read more

This is a great little place that just opened up. They are along the place of the Donut Hut which had been there for many years. I stopped in with a friend and I had tea with a blueberry muffin while he had coffee with a raspberry scone. It was all good. The pastures are made locally by two different bakeries. They were great. My tea was hot and very tasty. They also offered to resteep the leaves which I appreciated I met the owner and she is a very nice woman. The whole place just has a good vibe and the location downtown is great. read more

Shockingly good! Was introduced to their super-chill, home-brewed nitro coffee...and OMG, Brew is now a destination spot for me n my homies. Staff were warm & welcoming, bathroom clean. I live around the corner and frequent Brew a couple times per week. The coffee is phenomenal. My issue with this place is the sour attitudes of a couple of their baristas. Let it be said that some of them are nice. But there is this one guy and one girl who are so unpleasant. I was once a part of the F&B world so I try to exert as much patience as possible. It looks to me like they are burnt out or upset about the POS system or something. I would come to Brew everyday if the customer service was a little more consistent. read more

Stopped here on the way back to Oakland from a day of floating the Russian River. Th cafe is spacious and welcoming. The baristas were very sweet and helpful in explaining the flavor profiles of the drinks - super impressive! I ordered the leafy latte (chamomile, lavender, and rose hip) with oat milk and I wish I had gotten a second order to-go. We were raving about the flavor and the barista said "it's made with love" - SWOON! This is clearly a coffee shop that loves the craft just as much as their customers. Great place for fresh brewed coffee near downtown Santa Rosa. They are waiting to be able to serve craft beers as well coffee hence the name Brew. The food is simple but delicious. There are so many amazing things about this shop. From the awesome beer/cider choices, to the amazing breakfast choices and of course the coffee. The employees are friendly and the fact that the owners actually work puts a smile on my face. I had the luxury of having an iced Americano and a chicken sausage breakfast sammich. The Americano was naturally sweet enough that I didn't have to add anything to it (as I love the actual taste of coffee) and the chicken sausage was a little sweet for my taste but that didn't reflect badly on the sammich itself. It was AMAZING. With a return visit recently I also tried their Marionberry Cider which was KILLER. It's a 6% with a bitter but mostly sweet taste. All in all I will continue to walk myself to this little beauty of a shop and support the local ladies. read more

Tonight however I came to my usual spot to have a great time as always and encountered a new person. A man with salt and pepper hair who looked very unhappy to be here.
