Went to Brewer's Tap & Table on a Friday night with a party of six. We had reservations for 8pm and were sat in the back of the restaurant near the bathrooms. Our server was a strange bird...discouraging our cocktail and beer choices, hovering around us but never approaching, and the worst, pressuring us to order our food as fast as possible. He literally said "You should probably get your food order in the next fifteen minutes because ya know, how it is. Theres a lot of people in here tonight and I want to make sure you guys actually get your food." The combination of bizarre service and a menu that is pretentious and over priced we closed the check after one round of drinks. We went to a neighboring restaurant Tempo, and had delicious meal. Tap & Table missed out on our $350 dinner check and now is getting this stink review. read more

I can only start this review by saying this - the first moment I walked into this beautiful modern restaurant I was absolutely floored. It is honestly the most aesthetically appealing restaurant I've been to in Waltham (I've lived here my entire life). I was greeted warmly by Nancy. She is genuinely kind and was happy to sit my friend and I at a cozy large booth instead of a small table (which is where two people would usually be seated). Our server, who I cannot remember his name, was absolutely cool and happy. He was funny, down to earth and happy to explain any menu item down to the specific details (grass fed, etc). All me and my friend kept saying was "wow". I've experienced mediocre service at most Moody street restaurants so I was extremely surprised at how cool this place was to us! The food here is legit mind blowing. We shared the broccoli rabe starter as well as the cauliflower. I then got the burger of the day which was absolutely delicious! The chef here is clearly a pro and I got his business card because I wanted to remember this guy - it was THAT amazing! My only issue was there were no non-alcoholic beers available. Honestly, I haven't been able to get one at 99% of restaurants on Moody so it's not really a shock or an issue - I just wish more bars in general had them available. This place is seriously my new favorite restaurant and I CANNOT wait to go back! Kudos to the amazing Nancy who kept checking on us and chatting with us. She is really great and the cherry on top of an amazing experience. If you haven't been here you are missing out. Give them a shot - thank me later. read more

Great atmosphere - open and modern. Staff was educated on both beer and wine. We went on a Saturday night and it was busy but not too crowded that you felt people were hanging on top of you. Nice mix of ages. Even saw some families. Comfortable seating. Almost 48 (?) beers on tap. I'm more of a wine or cocktail kind of girl but I went for the cider flight tonight. Delicious! We had the pork flat bread and fried risotto ball with puréed squash. All was yummy. Will be back! read more

Oh my god. Seriously the worst service I've experienced in the US. On a par with Romania. They didn't tell us that the dinner menu closed at 9:30 despite us arriving at 8:30 and then failed to apologize for anything when tried to order at 10. The manager just made shitty excuses and acted like it was not a big deal. Oh, that also screwed up my wife's dairy allergy. Ok, eggs aren't "technically" dairy but entry other restaurant ever seems to get that mayonnaise is a potential problem. I would complain to the waiter but haven't seen him for an hour. Our friends recommended this place so we all went for dinner while in town. It is a very large place but somehow still felt intimate with lots of separate nooks and seating areas. We started with drinks and it was a hard decision because they had such a long list and so much variety! I liked how it was broken down into types and quickly found a cider I wanted. They let me try it first which I appreciated, and then ordered a full glass. We tried a few appetizers, including the grilled bread with whipped ricotta - highly recommend, and the pickled vegetables which were fresh and crunchy. Now for the main course I got the lamb burgeza and I was telling people about it for weeks. So flavorful and yummy! Not to mention the fried feta is like a full patty of feta deep fried with melty inside. The flavor combinations were perfect. Overall I think everyone really enjoyed their meal, and the service was really great offering samples and separate checks and not rushing us out when we were done. This is one of the most beautiful bars I've ever been to. The huge bar maximizes seating options in a Tetris-like design. The major renovations this place underwent after Watch City Brewery shuttered are astounding. Industrial, spacious, modern lighting, outdoor patio, loft bar and seating on second floor... Great food, staff, and decor. Living locally, we visit Brewers Tap and Table frequently and always have a great time. Besides over 40 locally craft beers on tap, the food in a word is incredible. We always have to challenge ourselves to try something new. Dan and his team do a great job and are personable and treat us like family on every visit. This past week we had an event in their Mezzanine, and our family from all over the country commented on how great every bite of their meal was. The restaurant is laid back while stylish and comfortable. The space is a nice size but could make better use of the space. Its an awkward space for the bartenders to maneuver around. Went on a Saturday night not crowded the bartender and server were very nice and attentive. I ordered the lamb burger topped with fried feta that was highly recommended. The manager brought the food out and informed me they were out of fried feta apologize and offered to comp me anything else also informed the bartender if I wanted anything to give it to me. I thought that was great all because they didn't have that one thing. The burger was great came with delicious fries. The beer flights were nice I recommend the cran mango cider. I didn't get anything else so when I got the check I saw that they took off my lamb burger which I was not expecting at all super nice of them would definitely go back again really want to try that fried feta. Had a guy named Dana... He was kind of a D... Luckily a bigger crowd came in. He took them over and put a woman in charge who did an amazing job. I wish I had her name but she knew of the specials and and a suggestion on a beer for me that ended up being great. If people like Dana are working there I'm not going back ever again. Creative (but also somewhat limited) menu and friendly, attentive service. I appreciate a place that chooses quality food over a higher quantity of menu options. They may want to add a burger or a couple more basic options for those of us with picky eater friends. I got the oyster mushroom fritters and hummus plate, both of which were very delicious! Atmosphere is beautiful and a great place to gather with friends, especially large groups as they have a few huge tables to accommodate. Drove 30 minutes to go to Brewer's Tap & Table on a Saturday night with 3 beer-loving friends and we all loved it. I'm vegetarian and was thrilled to find as many veg choices as meat choices on the menu. It was a little pricey but so much flavor! The Japanese eggplant parm was outstanding. A touch heavy on the breading but I'm craving more. Fabulous selection of beers, not so loud we couldn't talk and a super friendly wait staff. If it wasn't such a long drive, I'd be there right now. read more

This place has slow service, beers aren't great, and in particular the "manager" Jolene is incredibly rude and inconsiderate. We didn't receive our food at all and upon inquiring about it were brushed off immediately. She should not be working in a customer service oriented industry. I can't review the food as I never received it and didn't try it, but if it is anything like the service from Jolene it is abysmally sub-par!!!! read more

My husband and I had dinner at Brewer's Tap & Table the other night. The service is excellent, with friendly and attentive wait staff. We had made a reservation, and were given a very nice table next to the window. They offer a nice selection of beers (I especially enjoyed the Exhibit A sour beer) and cocktails, and the food menu is quite good. We had the crispy Brussels sprouts for an appetizer -- yum! I had the grilled cheese sandwich, which was delicious and probably the best grilled cheese I've ever had. My husband had the BT burger, which he said was also great. Portions are quite generous. I'm 90% vegetarian. This is my 10%. This is my guilty pleasure. Been here once and plan to return many times again. What stinks is their limited hours of operation, because they have THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH. An incredible fried chicken topped with spicy mayo, cole claw, on a soft, toasted ciabatta bread. Comes with a side of fries that are just how i like it, slightly burnt russet flavor, crispy on the ends and soft in the middle, also savory to perfection. Went last night for the first time, and really liked it! LOVE the space, and the bar is huge. Plus you can see into the kitchen, which I like. We got a bunch of apps and drinks which were all good, although I was sad they were out of the cauliflower steak. The grilled sourdough was simple yet Delicious, the fries were soooo good & crispy, and the crab cakes were outstanding! However, the chicken wings were kind of gross- they had a weird consistency, and the flavors were a bit off. Plus there was something really spicy on them that we didn't expect. Other than that is was great, I will definitely go back! I also like that they have a small function space upstairs in the loft. read more

This review is for the drinks only. The ambiance is pretty cool, and this place is definitely catering to a specific population. Lots of wrought iron, brick, and wood, and dim lighting. The interior is beautifully redone, much classier than its predecessor, Watch City. The beer selection is out of this world! The IPAs and Double IPAs are what we came here to check out. It was pricey. But there's no other place on Moody Street or in Waltham, for that matter, that offers this kind of craft beer selection. This will be a once in awhile place for us. read more

I haven't had the food here, but I went here one night with my boyfriend and friends for cocktails. The bartender (I can't remember his name!) was awesome and had great recommendations for beers/drinks I have never tried before that were on the menu. My boyfriend was SUPER excited that they had some harder-to-find bourbons that he hasn't had in years. We had held a baby shower here. The facilities were perfect. We were located on the second floor which has its own bar. It was spacious and inviting. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Dana took very good care of us. Dan, the manager, and Courtney were easy to work with. They were quick to respond whenever I needed to ask a question.
