I was here, for the second time, on December 7, because of being so pleasantly surprised by my first encounter a couple months earlier. To be clear, I'll give the place a solid four-stars for the food and five-stars for the bar and service. What's impressive about this joint is how unassuming it is, planted in the middle of a Best Western hotel. Really? The bar is big, comfortable and stocked with just about anything you'd fancy. I took a look at the draught and beer list and immediately decided that somebody there knew what they were doing and was serious about their craft: 24 different draught selections across six different styles; from esoteric local microbrews to German pilsners; including the likes of Hill Farmstead, Rothaus and Bissell Brothers. The bartender/waitress was attentive and particularly knowledgeable about the beer. The food was well made on both occasions I was there, and I especially liked their version of BLT, with its thick fresh bread. I'll be back for sure. this location has an excellent selection of beers and insiders on tap. The service from our bartender was incredibly lackluster. We could barely hear her and she wouldn't bother to speak up any even when we clearly were indicating to her we could not hear her. She also was very nonchalant about everything from us putting our order to ordering drinks. It just appeared She didn't really care. We had an order of the buffalo chicken wings and they were OK. The heat definitely builds the more that you eat them. We also ordered the steak bowl which came with spinach, avocado, house, rice, and steak and peppers. Overall, it was a good dish. read more

This place was attached to our hotel and made for an easy dinner option. My husband got the lobster roll and it was delicious. My daughter got the kids pizza and it was cooked to perfection. I got the French onion soup and steak and cheese sandwich and it was cooked to perfection. We had a beautiful view of the city, it wasn't crowded and we enjoyed our time. The service wasn't the best, our waiter didn't come back and we had to ask another staff member for more water but didn't ruin our experience. read more

Great location for a pre-dinner drink or to watch sports (5 TVs on both sides of the bar). Great craft beer selection with ca. 10+ IPAs on tap. Prices are reasonable, and the service behind the bar was attentive but not interrupting. My tip: I visited on a cold night and sat on the window-side facing side of the bar. I'd recommend sitting on the other side of the bar as you get a blast of cold air when people enter or exit the patio door. read more

This is the second stop on my Eat the Distance tour! Great outdoor seating though umbrellas inappropriately placed to provide shade where guests are seated. Nearly unacceptably slow service, everything from the drinks to the edible items were served tepid, seafood was not the freshest but the short ribs was [sic.] cooked properly. Ambience was pleasant enough, overlooking a busy parking lot helped to cultivate perspective. The lowest quality dining experience I've 'enjoyed' for quite a number of years. Breathtaking really. Family friendly, we take our two young kids here due to nice booths and dinner starts early. My favorite is the blue cheese burger, and the cauliflower appetizer tricked my toddler into eating a veggie (amazing feat if you know 2 year olds). The hostess when we first walked in did not greet us. Instead stared at me and my daughter. Since she was yelling and I scolded her. Another older lady came next to her and greet us then walked us back to our seat. Our waiter was nice and attentive. The food was ok. I got the steak and cheese egg rolls which was good. My husband got steak and it was bland and now cooked right. My friend got shrimp scampi which was recommended and the shrimp was hard, over cooked and the noodles had no taste. She got a lavender cocktail and it wasn't made right so they took it off the bill. The waiter was very nice enough to recommend some Of his favorites but my friend was not interested. Don't really know why this place has TWO different listings on Yelp in the same city in nearly the same place with two different street addresses at the time of writing this review. But I'm just gonna talk about the one Yelp allowed me to check into upon this visit. Now, I'm pretty familiar with Winter street. Considering I frequently visit the likes of Ruth's Chris and Jimmy John's. That said, I was quite surprised at how easy this place was to spot, despite being located on a corner smack dab next to the interstate. It also probably helps that it's conveniently attached to a hotel. Not a very extravagant one either. So, you can imagine my surprise at the execution of the menu. On this day, I went full seafood mode and ordered the clam chowder and some fish n' chips. I kid you not when I tell you this clam chowder is possibly the best I've had in the area since Providence. Creamy, brilliantly seasoned with fresh bacon bits, plenty of clams, potato and veggies, this soup was a solid 10 out of 10 for me. I only needed to add minimal additional seasoning, if any. No complaints here! Totally getting a bowl next time. The fish n' chips were...different from what I expected. It seems that almost every other place I visit here goes with the beer battered style breading. But this place uses more of a 4C style breading. It's not bad, actually! Gives the fish a crispiness that's quite refreshing. Even the fries were Grade A. Though the fish portion was a bit small compared to the mountain of fries they gave, I'd call this one a 9 out of 10. Oh, a coworker of mine also let me sample some fried veggie dumplings he ordered (forgot to mention this was a work luncheon). Let me tell you...these things were seasoned to the nines! I was seriously impressed! They reminded me of the Yaki-Mandu I used to have during the time I spent in Korea. But, I digress. Point is....these things are good as hell and I recommend everyone try them. Solid 10 out of 10. I definitely want to return to this place because there are actually a number of other dishes I wanna try; particularly the shrimp scampi. I'm a bit disappointed there aren't more photographs for this place. Guess it'll be up to yours truly to change all that. I want to commend the Copper House Tavern event staff and manager Amy McLaughlin in particular for helping us have an event in their private space for a celebration of life for my mother, who passed away at 97. Amy made sure the space was beautifully decorated for the holidays and helped with choosing both the passed hors d'oeuvres and a stationary fruit and cheese plate for our guests. On the day of the event, Stacey and Gabe were our servers and they went above and beyond to help make everything special. When we couldn't get the mounted television to play the slideshow, Gabe went next-door to the hotel and borrowed a television on wheels that I could directly plug my laptop into. Everyone loved seeing all of the pictures so the extra effort was appreciated. The food was delicious and the service was fast and attentive. I would definitely book another event there. read more

I asked if they could replace the green beans with the side salad they have. Once I got my meal I noticed they left out the green beans all together and did not put a salad,l. We went to the Waltham, MA location on Mother's Day weekend. The quality of the food was very poor. FIsh and Chips was cold and the fish was dry. The Grilled Steak bowl was listed on the menu as grilled steak and grilled vegetables, but everything was covered with red pepper flakes! It was much too spicy to enjoy and not as described on the menu. The chocolate mousse desert was delicious, but it was not served with gelato as described on the menu. My friend's fish tacos weren't great but she didn't want to complain. The waitress went to get the manager when she saw only a few bites taken and we were honest with the manager. Besides taking a while for the hostess to come up and sit us. However, it wasn't that busy, so i am sure she was helping out with something else. While there, i saw them all help each other out. I'm Def going back here. I got fish and chips, and I really thought it was going to be bland. Nope, I love being proved wrong. Had sweet potato fries, which were soooooo good. My friend had a lamb wrap, which he said was so fresh. The food was honestly really good. I also had some Sov Blanc . I might go back just for that. The staff is amazing and they work as a team. Huge thank you one of the owners David and his team! I ate here a couple months ago and wrote a bad review. David actually responded from his vacation in Ireland. He wanted to make it right and boy did he. David himself came took my order and comped the entire thing. We were staying at the hotel and wanted to swim. He came to the.pool and brought this delicious meal to us. He brought a tablecloth and settings to the pool himself and the meal was PERFECT and it was an awesome experience one of the best we have had we felt very special and I will definitely be back! Stopped in just after the kitchen had closed gif entrees so was only able to order from their late nite bar selections. Pretty much typical bar food nothing to exciting. We picked the chicken wings with barbecue sauce on the side, large pretzel, chips and salsa, and fries. Salsa was freshly made with plenty of tomato and onion, really like homemade as it didn't have sauce like you see with other salsas. It was not spicy at all but was very tasty. Chips were just 'buy at the store' variety so no excitement there. Pretzel was large and came with ranch dressing and spicy mustard on the side. Pretzel was warm, soft, and chewy, a good choice. Fries were nicely done, crispy and hot with two sides of ketchup. Dinner plate sized portion. Wings were golden brown and juicy. Definitely the stars of the evening.?wings came with celery and carrot sticks and a side of blue cheese dressing as well as two sides of barbecue sauce (requested those). Service was a little low in acknowledging us when we arrived but given the dining room was closed they expected we'd be sitting at the bar. Once we got seated our server was very pleasant.
