I feel bad, because I assured my server Ashley that I wouldn't leave a critical review. She was amazing and provided great service. However, the sins committed in preparing my meal were so egregious, I would be remiss if I didn't comment. To qualify again, the service was top notch, and the place has a nice beer selection. I have had drinks here a few times, but this was the first time ordering food. I opted for the pork chop platter, the price seemed nice and the veggie of the day as green beans. The green beans were tasty, cooked right and seasoned well. For some reason, the kitchen left them on the woody stem. It is the most basic food prep to remove these from the green beans before cooking them. The mashed potatoes and gravy were pretty standard. The pork chops were just sad. They were less than a half inch thick, and saying that is being generous. That isn't a deal breaker, necessarily, but they had been cooked beyond well done. The word 'inedible' comes to mind; and I say this as a guy who has a pretty high threshold for ill-prepared, but otherwise tasty food. As it happened, I barely touched my meal. I felt bad because the server was very apologetic. She really tried to make things right, but we were off to see a show and unfortunately couldn't wait around. I offered the same feedback for the meal to her that I have left here, and I hope she passed it on to the kitchen. The biggest disappointment was the inordinate amount of time we waited for the meal. Waiting isn't a problem, but when it arrives, the plate should be immaculate. I would probably stick to drinking at the Brewhouse Cafe. After passing by this restaurant many time, we decided to stop for lunch yesterday. We wanted to eat outside, since it was such a perfectly beautiful day. I ordered the half order of fish and chips and my boyfriend ordered the grilled mahi. My fish was excellent and my boyfriend really enjoyed his fish. The fries and the cole slaw were also very good. I love animals, so I was especially happy to meet so many happy dogs on the patio. Service was great, everyone was friendly and we enjoyed our visit. read more

With the weather warming up my thoughts automatically go to Brewhouse! Once of the best patio experiences in Atlanta. The people watching in L5P on warm weekend days is amazing! There seems to be a good selection of drinks, although I aways opt for a bucket of High Life. The food is also pretty good. I can certainly endorse the chicken fingers and tots. The only downside is that the servers get way backed up on crowded days and sometimes traffic can be loud. read more

The Brewhouse Caf is located in Little Five Points and has an inside dining area that is basically a soccer, um I mean football sports bar and a huge mostly shaded patio that overlooks the daily crazy happenings in Little Five. It's a great place to sit and be cheeky and make fun of people on the other side of Moreland Avenue. The food is standard pub fare with and English twist. They have stuff like fish and chips, bangers and mash, but they also have salads, burgers and even pizza, which I've never had. They are very dog friendly and allow them on the patio in an area called the "dog pound". They serve decent drinks and make a great Bloody Mary. The problem I have with the Brewhouse is that every time I go, I suffer serious sticker shock when I get my tab--"$60 for two drinks and a salad!!!!". Okay, not that bad, but almost. They just seem $2 more than what they should be on everything. And it adds up. The food is so-so, and there are so many better, less expensive places in the area. NOTICE: THIS PLACE IS BAD FOR GROUPS. If you're more than 2 people, DO NOT COME HERE. Story to follow. The first time I came here, I was coming off a tattoo high and therefore I couldn't remember much outside of getting that piece of art down the road at Memorial Tattoo. After the Pillow Fight 2010, though, a group of us decided to wander down and have a bite after a rough day of beating each other up with pillows. Unfortunately, we encountered a completely different fight here - finding our server. Now I know that when a group is bigger than 6, service can quickly go downhill. The moment a server knows they get an auto-tip, they tend to suck. A lot. This isn't true everywhere - I've found many places that handle 20-30 people very well, with a smile, and plenty of helping hands - but apparently Brewhouse isn't that place. Our server decided to pay more attention to tables of two to try and beef up her tip with them knowing she'd get a tip with us. In hindsight, I shouldn't have ordered anything and let her suffer without our $4. She didn't earn a penny of it. Also, the mashed potatoes tasted like someone boiled a potato and mashed it. No salt, no flavor, just a squished potato. Run over a potato; you'll get the same thing. Redeeming factor: Excellent spinach dip and decent wings. Not enough to salvage the crappy service, though. Oh, and it's probably not smart to bring out all the staff to mock our table for having so many people. I watched you do it. I don't care how pissed off you are that we're a large group who moved tables together AFTER YOU SAID WE COULD DO IT. You do NOT mock your customers in front of their faces. Today was a great day to sit outside with friends and have some drinks. The Brewhouse is a terrific place to do that. This is the third time over the last couple of months that I have done that and I am sure I will many more times. The good things - Nice patio, dog friendly, good people watching, good service. The bad things - they are always out of some of the beers on their list. Today the were out of Sierra Nevada and ran out of Corona. The food that I have had is wildly inconsistent. Some was good, some was not good. The good things rate 4 stars and the bad things rate two stars so the final verdict is 3 stars. read more

This place has far exceeded any expectation we could of possibly had. Came for a late breakfast and were not disappointed. It was literally two minutes before noon and our server still put our breakfast order in. And then right at 12:30 he brought us the drinks we were so excited for..yummy mimosa for me and a veer for the hubby! My biscuits and gravy were delicious, I try them everywhere, and loved the flavor here. Place is nice and noisy for of life! This place gave me very serious food poisoning. It was the most sick I have been in my life and that is no exaggeration. What made it all worse is that I have received absolutely NO response from anyone at the restaurant or the owner. If they would have only responded to me with an apology and perhaps an offer to reimburse me the $20 for the tainted food they served me, there would be no need to leave this negative review. However, since they wanted to do a full ignore as if they are immune to customer issues, this is what I have to do. I will never eat here again or recommend it to even my worst enemy. Believe me, you do not want to be as sick as I was for 2 days. At one point I was 5 minutes away from calling an ambulance if it weren't for my phone being on the other side of my bedroom and me not being able to get out of the bed at the time. Do NOT eat here!!!! 3 of us ordered a wrap with honey hot sauce, this might as well have been a tortilla swimming in Siracha. It is safe to say this was not "honey hot"... and we all have a high tolerance for spice. one of our friends found plastic in her chicken fingers!!! Another one ordered a burger, it was WAY undercooked. They did take back the burger and traded in for something else but IMO it should have been comped - it was the pinkest of pink. We were all overcharged a little here and there. When one friend politely asked about it, the waiter was very rude and said "I mean I can just give you 3 dollars". OK 3 dollars is not a huge deal, but it adds up when a table of 15 are all overcharged!!!! we were unable to view our tickets and they got really sketchy whenever we would ask. During another night of "have laptop, will travel", I discovered that the Brewhouse Cafe had WiFi, and promptly parked my behind there for some patio relaxation/work. I wasn't super hungry, but I made friends with a pile of satisfyingly greasy french fries and a bottomless cup of coffee. I people-watched, chatted with a few drunken visitors who asked what I was doing there with a computer at 10pm (to which I promptly responded, "Caribou kicked me out and I have more work to do"), and enjoyed the fact that the my server never slacked on coffee refills or a quick "How ya doin'?", despite the fact that I was there for multiple hours. Big tip for him. When I was finished with my work, I ordered a beer and chilled out for a bit, and then added the Brewhouse to my list of many reasons to visit Little Five Points. It was my first visit to Brew House and the little five area in general. Not a bad experience for a first timer. But, the service left a lot to be desired. The potato skins weren't my favorite but the atmosphere was good and minus the wind from a fan the patio it's great. However, two things propelled Brewhouse Cafe to higher ground: 1) they were super nice to my puppy, and 2) OMG their tater tots are the best in the city. I've jogged past this place a thousand times, but I finally stopped by because I found myself walking the dog and in desperate need of a beer. Pint prices were a little steep, but service was friendly and attentive, and they brought water for my pooch without me even asking for it. Chips and salsa were perfectly respectable for an appetizer. My french dip was tasty (GREAT red onions on the sandwich that were perfectly sauteed), but like I said, THE TOTS were crunchy and salty and awesome and fabulous. Boyfriend got a capresedilla (quesadilla with tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, etc.), and it was flavorful but a little too greasy. I'm not really sure what this place is all about, but I have a few ideas. It's just the alternative sports bar, I guess, which is a novel enough concept. I've been here during festivals, Rollerderb parties, and while angry patrons and staffers yell and get positively ripped. They have an okay jukebox, but I'm not sure if it's even hooked up anymore. The music the last few times I've been is mostly thrashing metal bands, rap from the 90s, or, if you're lucky, techno. I've probably been here 25 times over the years. Why do I keep going back? Because it's within walking distance and this state's backwards alcohol laws. They do provide the large Oktoberfest-style "brews" of beers on tap, which is interesting, and they are a good place to catch "football"/soccer matches. They cater to a client base of local sports teams/fans. Food is usually okay, if salty. I do like the string lights on the patio, though. Your paramount challenge here will be getting served. At all. The waitresses are never friendly and often will ignore you for 15 minutes or more when you come in and sit down. I usually just set a time limit. Places like this make me wish they had robots serving. Less stress for everyone. One friend of mine and I have tried to eat here twice. But they just ignore us and so we always just end up going to the YACHT CLUB (http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-euclid-avenue-yacht-club-atlanta). So he's been there twice but never actually been served. Tonight they were ignoring us again and so we got up to leave. The couple next to us started laughing and said, and I quote: "You're the THIRD group who has sat down, tried to get served, and ended up just leaving ... since we've been here!" It's not that they were crazy busy either -- they had time to randomly meet and greet a few lucky others who had walked in as they breezed by us and we watched. Those groups were largely female. When they ARE slammed? You can forget about it. I've stood at the bar waving money and never been able to attract the attention of any one of the many employees swarming around. It's in the manual, I guess: Whatever you do, don't make eye contact UNLESS you don't want more work. During another visit, I sat at the uncrowded bar being promptly ignored, until I flagged down a waiter who was nice enough. Then, while trying to watch a broadcast, some drunk employee who was off work pulled me into a conversation and began making snide remarks about my beard being trimmed (his was the "metal" style). They have a nice bar and TVs into which they've invested some money, but they also have a sh*tty attitude. Someone was ragging on patrons for being tennis fans. The place seems like the hull of a big drunken wooden ship that just keeps afloat. That said, because of their location, I have it on good authority that they pull in half a million dollars between October and December each year. So I guess they don't NEED to be cordial or particularly interested in the customers. I also once witnessed a civil dispute between two employees. One guy was cursing his fellow workers. He actually seemed the a fairly nice guy. Some waitress did find time to roll her eyes at me when I asked about a shirt she wore that had the name of the company for which I work on it. I can only conclude there is some battle of the sexes going on here. Perhaps it's that these waitresses are so jaded by having drunken louts coming through/working there, that they think all men are bastards? NOTE: If Little Five Points bars are going survive in this economy, they will need to hire mature individuals to do the owners' bidding, not unfriendly and unhappy individuals who are caught up in image and ego to the extent that it gets in the way of them doing their jobs. If you want mediocre, come on in! They do have a lot of TVs. For a more economical option, you could buy a six pack and head to Best Buy on Caroline but that old wooden bar IS kind of nice. I'm going to try to never come back, but never say "never". read more

This place has a great atmosphere for watching soccer matches. It's easy to meet other fans and cheer along together. It does get very packed though, so it's important to secure a good viewing angle on the televisions in advance. Otherwise, the food is good bar food, lots of vegetarian options. Service and Drink selection is fantastic, with excellent bloody marys at brunch time. The patio is also lovely when the weather is nice. During the week, the Brewhouse is a quiet place to grab a pint and some fish and chips. On the weekend, it's a boisterous place to meet up with some friends. During the World Cup, it's the craziest place in Atlanta. The Brewhouse is a soccer bar. Though on most of the TVs you'll catch Sports Center, or a college basketball game, or the Braves' game, you'll always find soccer on a least one set. For some reason we changed tables three different times (too much sun for how hungover I was, too dark inside so I felt weird, etc.) but finally found a good one. had a couple Peronis and sampled the fried green tomatoes (delicious) and Capresadilla which was also good. I usually go to Brewhouse a few times a year, and that is only because I am in the neighborhood or want to see the Halloween parade from a chair where I can drink beer. The one issue I have here is the service. I would probably come more often if I could ever get anyone to pay attention to me! I am not high maintenance (I believe in karma...), but I do want to have another beer within five minutes of finishing one. Sitting at the bar is even worse. Also, one time I went, they weren't allowing people sitting on the patio to use the bathroom. Yeah, you read that right. I had a fifty dollar tab at a table on the patio, but I wasn't allowed to use the bathroom. The menu options are pretty typical, averagely executed bar food. The beer selection is pretty standard to have "brew" in the name...or maybe I am spoiled by Decatur. Of course i sat out on the patio and watched my extended eclectic family members shake rattle & roll on by. Read all the negative reviews below and keep an open mind. This is a local neighborhood establishment and they do everything right. This is a great little gem in the heart of Little Five, especially if you love footie (aka, premier league soccer). In a neighborhood of establishments that cater to out of town folks, this one here appreciates their locals and repeat patrons. The staff remembers faces and treats you like family here. And that means serving your beer with a witty quip and a big smile and telling you that you're wearing the wrong team's kit even. (Manchester United fans? This is your place.) The food here is not typical bar food. It's delicious. Had the fish and chips today and it was ample and amazing. I don't understand the reviews that say the staff is inattentive because they've always been spot on in my experiences here. If you're from out of town and expect catering? Don't come here. Disgustingly unimpressed to say the least. First of all, the view from when you sit outside is that of a "park" where quite a few homeless people reside. We decided to sit outside because it was one of the few restaurants in the area that allowed us to bring an 11 month old (mind you it was around noon...). We sat down at their outdoor seating and ordered a few drinks. I had noticed that the silverware had looked like it was already used and left there, so I was expecting the waitstaff to pick it up. The waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing AT ALL. She came back with some waters and one of the people in our party pointed out a nice large BUG floating dead in one of them. She quickly picked the water up, didn't so much as even apologize or acknowledge there was a huge bug in there and scurried off. She came back with a fresh water, this time in a disposable solo cup rather than a plastic one, still no apology. This should have been a clear indication that this place was bad but despite my better judgement, we decided to order food. Three of us ordered Rubens, I had the turkey and one had the meat pie. We waited patiently for our food, watching passerbys walk directly through the fenced-in seating and brush up against us with their dogs and one of the patrons dog's threw up right in the seating area so they decided to have the guy handing the food out to the tables clean it up! Yum. I am a dog lover and that's just gross and unsanitary. This is not at all the restaurants fault, but it was for allowing animals to pass through and to sit with patrons. I was probably physically aggravated at this point because the manager walked around to every single table to ask how everything was going and small talk, except for ours. Either that or he was tipped off by the waitress about the bug situation and instead of taking ownership and apologizing, they decided to sweep it under the rug and just ignore us all. 47 minutes after ordering our food it finally arrived and it was just fine. There was nothing that stood out to make me say wow. The waitress stopped by our table to ask if we would like more drinks. A few ordered another beer and 20 minutes later she came back and asked again if we would like drinks and one replied, "Yes the ones we ordered 20 minutes ago." To sum up our experience: Poor service. Dirty. Careless. I do not recommend this place AT ALL!!! It's dirty, the staff has a don't care attitude and there's some added bug protein in every drink. Insane wings were very good if you like true spicy food. Do not get the pretzel unless you are drinking, it's pretty oily.

This place is excellent and a vital establishment in this city. The main reason for my claim is that they are purveyors of the beautiful game - soccer (football). It is very difficult to find any place that shows soccer matches. They manage to show quite a lot of matches - most importantly European league matches, but also international matches (World Cup, Euros, Olympics, qualifiers, friendlies). They are geared towards English Premier League matches as evidenced by the matches they show, but I forgive them (I prefer Spanish La Liga myself). The various kits and memorabilia hung up around the place are quite cool. The TVs are large and numerous. This is certainly one of the best options for getting a soccer fix in the city. Soccer aside, this is definitely a nice place to grab some grub and drinks in L5P. The food isn't particulary amazing, but it is good. The black & bleu burger is decent. The fish & chips is excellent. This is a bit odd I know, but I have to mention that the huge Bavarian pretzels are amazing! The bar seems pretty standard with a bit of a slant towards English/Irish beers. The service can really vary depending on how busy they are - they are generally fine, but if it is crowded (like on big matchdays) the service will probably be slow. But it's definitely not without it's faults. Good: * Patio is awesome in nice weather. I've had some really bad service here. * Inside of bar is pretty little. When it's winter and the patio isn't open, the capacity of the bar basically gets cut in half. I went to Brewhouse for the first time a week or two ago to watch Newcastle take on Liverpool (my boyfriend is a huge Newcastle fan). I've lived close to Little 5 for the last year, but having just turned 21 last month, I'd never really given this place a try. All I can say is that I'm glad I did. I guess I should say that we went in the early afternoon on a Saturday - around 12:30 - so I have no idea what this place is like on a Friday/Saturday night. What I do know is that I had an excellent time. There were lots of British transplants in the bar for the game, which made people-watching lots of fun. The atmosphere was great, and our server was a doll. But oh my goodness, the food. I saved the best for last here, folks. we went for the brunch special, which is two choices off the brunch menu and a pitcher of mimosas for $25. I got the sausage rolls, which is a nicely sized sausage (teehee) baked inside a puff pastry and served with a side of curried mustard. It was fantastic. Perfect meat to bread ratio, although I do recommend getting it with a side of fruit or something light to cut the richness. My boyfriend got the Brewhouse feast, which was an array of delicious breakfast items, including beans and toast and the best bacon we'd ever tasted. All in all, it was worth it. I'm sure this place is fun for live futbol, but I've only been here in the evening which is too late to catch those big European matches. Drinks are standard and food is above average for a pub. Everything I've eaten here has been pretty good. The problem I have with Brewhouse is service. Every time I go to Brewhouse service is absolutely terrible. On one occasion it actually took 45 minutes to get our drinks after sitting down. The only reason we didn't leave is because of the VCU vs. Butler game. My next visit was after a festival. We decided to stop in to watch some Hawks basketball and grab some food. Again... service was awful. It took about 20 minutes for our drinks to get to the table after ordering and we never saw our appetizer. We cancelled the order once our entree came out. I dol not recommend this place to any group (large or small) on a Friday or Saturday evening. Try it out early in the day for some live overseas soccer. read more

This is *the* place if you're a soccer fan. They carry just about every game. It's my favorite spot to watch the Columbus Crew or World Cup action, and the only place I know where they show EPL, La Liga and Serie A matches. They have a good beer selection with plenty on draft. The menu has a vast selection ranging from pastas to burgers to salads. Everything I've had has been good. On big game days you'll need to bring a bit of patience because the patio and inside can become very full. Don't judge me, but I have an affinity for restaurants with a great outside patio. Brewhouse Cafe is a great summertime restaurant located in the Little Five Points neighborhood. The patio is close to the street, pedestrians can reach over the guardrail and literally eat off of your plate. This just adds to the ambiance. This place has some of the best wings in Atlanta, and their Asian Wings are a must try. Their draft beer selection is not that great, so I normally get a tall can of Pabst Blue Ribbon. They also have a drink called the Painkiller, which I thought was a hard hangover type drink, but it was actually a tropical drink that was very good. The cons are, as stated earlier, it is definitely a summertime spot, the inside bar area needs to updated, it is very dark and dank. Rude rude rude. We parked out front in the parking lot, as we always do before visiting, and noticed the cheap handmade "brewhouse only parking" which was taped over the authorized signage for Xhale City and Comoner Salon (in the same plaza). Okay - weird; but should be fine considering were about to be Brewhouse customers. We planned on going there for lunch after visiting the store next door. We come out to our car to put our bag in before heading to Brewhouse, and have A BOOT on our car. The "parking lot enforcer" came right up to us and demanded $75 to remove the boot, even after we told him we were about to go eat at Brewhouse. We asked if we could have it removed for free after dining and proof of purchase. But no. So I paid $75 to park in your parking lot and try to eat at your establishment. I asked your manager on duty, and all he had to say was "you should've came here first, that's bad on your part..." Wtf. Yelp should allow for a zero/negative star count Basically, if you go, make sure you DON'T SHOP AT ANY STORES BEFOREHAND. The patio seating is the best in the spring or fall as it overlooks the heart of L5P. Their $25 brunch on Saturdays/Sundays is pretty decent and features a pitcher of bloody marys. The theme of the place is mostly soccer and rugby, so don't go expecting to watch much college football. The lunch/dinner menu is typical American pub food with some English items as well, such as fish & chips and bangers & mash. What's not to like? I can walk here, they have great beer and drink selection and an outdoor patio that is wonderful on sunny days. The food isn't anything to write home about, but who cares? Bring some friends, order a beer and enjoy the patio. I finally had one of their painkillers and decided that if I order one ever again, I'll have to order in the maximum strength (3 shots) because I need something to cut the syrupy sweetness. It has pineapple and coconut juice in it and even one of my friends who professed to hate coconut wanted one of her own after sipping one of ours. Beware: they are addictive! read more

I teetered between and a 3 and a 4, but ultimately this review is about the food and so it's gotta be a 4. This place has a great patio and I love to come here for a bite to eat at night. I live in little 5 and other places to grab food late are smokey and loud. Their kitchen is open til midnight too, which is a perk for a late eater. I probably wouldn't be too pumped to eat inside as it seems kind of dreary and unkept. The service is not exceptional. Based on my experience they just seem uncomfortable. And it's a little slow. But try to get past that and get to the food. Aside from their burgers, which I think suck (if you've read my other reviews you'll see I'm a total dickhead when it comes to reviewing burgers), their other food has proven to be above average bar food. The turkey sandwich is incredible. I mean, how can a turkey sandwich be incredible? I don't know, but it is. It has provolone, pesto aioli, and really fresh cucumbers and tomatoes and lettuce. The turkey is super moist and flavorful, too. Another favorite is the fish and chips. The breading reminds me of mcdonalds chicken nuggets breading. STOP. DONT JUDGE. McDonalds chicken nuggets are bomb and u know it. Coleslaw and fries are also on point. And finally...some of the best wings in the city, no doubt. read more

Here's another first-time impression. I went here on a date for the 2nd presidential debate. They turned all of the TV's to the debate, which is good. They have a wide selection of beer on tap and I had an excellent irish dark ale. I forget the name. Now, the food. It took a long time to arrive. They didn't seem that busy to me, but then I could only see my section. Once it arrived it was... okay. I had the chicken-sausage sliders and my date had the tuna salad. Hmm, I just realized their website needs to be updated. Her salad is not called straight up "tuna salad" but its not on the website. Anyways, the food was decent. I can't think of any major complaints but it didn't shine either. I'll go again but I'm not going to seek it out specifically. read more
