Been watching soccer...football...whatever here since the late 1990s and this place is absolutely the best venue in the city for watching the Beautiful Game. However, last weekend I went to the Brewhouse with a few friends to watch USA vs England in the WC. We arrived at 10:00 am for a 2:00 pm kickoff hoping to watch Holland play the morning match. Well, the bar was at maybe 20% capacity with over half the tables empty and reserved. We went elsewhere and spent the next six hours (and more than a few hundred dollars) while the Brewhouse tables sat empty with non-existent non-paying "regulars." Pretty disappointed in y'all, not sure when I'll be back. read more

Note that I'm giving two stars because they always have cold beer. This WAS our go-to wing place. We even featured them in our wedding. I am absolutely appalled with the experience that we're having with these "new owners". Don't be fooled by the newly renovated patio, tables, and chairs. This has got to be the worst quality of food. "Nachos all the way" didn't come from any way except from straight from a refried bean can. They've always had a slow kitchen but we've looked past it because the food has always been killer. Not anymore. Won't be coming back here until they decide teriyaki is a suitable wing flavor and cheese triangles are added to the list. If you're going to take over a business, improve it. Service: unless you get someone that has been there for years, get up and move. Seriously. Everything about our order was wrong. Beers were left empty for 20 mins. The only great thing about the Brewhouse is their patio-- a large, half-covered, half wide open area that seats more than their indoors. Featuring TVs, roadside relaxation, and even a little area where people can bring their dogs, it's pretty easy to get comfy out there. Their food isn't too shabby either-- a decent array of standard bar fare. Don't order the burger, though: one of the worst burgers I've ever had. I've had mostly pretty awful service here, which is their biggest weak point. Either they don't staff enough, or they're just lazy, but every time I've ever been I can remember wondering when the hell the waiter/waitress was coming back. They definitely aren't very chatty or kind. Come here when you feel like chilling and won't starve if it takes a while, and make sure you're ready to sweat for parking, as with the rest of Little 5, it sucks. The Brewhouse is an institution in little five points (l5p). It's a place where people can watch sports (read-mostly football, aka soccer) and have a few, but really it is even more than that. On a nice, sunny day you can sit out on the porch and watch the lovely parade of weirdos stroll by on the street while you enjoy a drink and some delicious food. If it is cold out you can sit inside and play trivia or poker on certain days or fool with their great jukebox. Or sit on the covered patio that now has two roaring fireplaces to keep you toasty. While the food is delicious, there are still a few vegan fares - there's the soysage gyro that is vegan from what I hear, but the pita it is encased with may not be. Still haven't gotten a solid answer on that after all these years. But if you are a vegetarian you can order off the menu and say you want the soysage gyro and get an outstanding meal while looking like a local. Otherwise there is amazing hummus with veggies and such for us vegans. Oh and by the way, they do have an amazing brunch on Sundays that will keep you from having to do yardwork if you want to convince your more fastidious partner of going to in order to avoid the inevitable! My favorite part about this place is the Dog Pound- when it is warm out they dedicate a part of the outside patio to dogs so you can bring your (well-behaved) pooch up there to enjoy the sun, fun, food, and brew with your best friend. After watching the "Elvis Royale featuring Kingsized & Dames Aflame" show at Variety Playhouse on a Saturday evening, a group of 10 of us wanted to get a few drinks nearby. It was almost midnight, and we didn't want to drive anywhere, so someone suggested Brewhouse Cafe since it was within walking distance of Variety Playhouse. When we had driven past it on the way to the show, we had seen a sign about Brewhouse Cafe being the "Home of the Painkillers." It was a nice evening, so we sat outside in the patio area. One of my friends ordered my drink for me while I was in the restroom. Basically, our entire table got a round of their signature drink, the Painkiller. There are three levels, #1 ($6.50), #2 ($7.50), and #3 ($8.50), which I'm assuming have to do with the amount of rum they pour in the drink. My friend ordered a level #2 for me. Since it was pretty late, the place wasn't very busy. There were maybe two or three other tables of customers sitting at the tables outsides. However, since we had a "larger" group, the server came by and told us that it would take a bit of time to make all of our drinks. We appreciated the heads up. I had never heard of a "Painkiller," so I really didn't know what to expect. I certainly didn't expect what I got! * Painkiller - You would expect a drink with such a name to be some strongly, "manly" drink. It turns out that this is a tropical cocktail made of dark rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and coconut cream. I was honestly surprised at how delicious it was! I thought it was even better than my usual drink, the Sex on the Beach. It tasted kind of like a piña colada, but better! However, keep in mind that it is pretty sweet, so if you don't like sweet, fruity drinks, I wouldn't recommend it. Brewhouse Cafe's Painkiller was garnished with a maraschino cherry, which was a nice touch Mmmm... I would definitely order it again! Overall, Brewhouse Cafe gets 3.5 stars for their tasty Painkiller cocktail! Although they were a little slow to make and serve the drinks, they turned out to be worth the wait. Since I don't frequent Little 5 Points, I'm in no rush to return. So I got here right at opening, which is 11 am rather than 10 am as noted on Yelp. Very much a spirts bar kinda feel and indeed it is that but so much more. Brewhouse is my regular hangout for English Football. Being an Arsenal fan its nice to see tons of fans show up for the games. Get there early for the games it can get real crowded and parking can be a pain. The food here is also quite good, I recommend the chicken fingers, they are friggin huge. The fact that I can go here and drink a strongbow for breakfast while I watch a 7am arsenal game is an experience like no other. The only difference is unlike watching an early game at my house, here I have to wear pants. read more

Cool atmosphere, terrible service and staffing. Came with a friend to watch a World Cup game at 9am on a Saturday, server eventually brought us water (after we had been sitting an hour). Yes, it was packed, but shouldn't they have expected that and staffed up a little better? Every time we attempted to stop him to order a drink we were told "thank you for your patience" and "I'll be right back" (spoiler: he didn't come back). Never got to order a drink. We were hungry and had planned to order food, but wait time on tickets was over an hour so even if we had an attentive server, we probably would have skipped food. I heard this is "THE Atlanta soccer bar", and the space/location is great... but would have been more fun to watch the game with a drink in my hand and maybe even a snack. Not too bad, for a sports bar that has 14 tvs. They have a schedule of the games that they plan to show on Sundays so you can see where you have to be seated to watch your game (if you are going to watch sports). For food- bangers and mash a.k.a. sausage and mash- pretty good. Not a big portion. The steak sandwhich was great. Zero stars lol. Do not give this place your business. They do not support the atlanta community, the owner is a scumbag. They are working with "Secure Parking Enforcement" (look the company up, they have all 1 star reviews and they all have about the same story as me) and booting literally everyone that parks in their lot. I was supposed to meet friends here for lunch, and they were running late so I decided to go to xhale first (its in the same parking lot) to kill time. He was rude and unhelpful. He actually said he could "take a whole hour" to get the boot off if he wanted to. With some people, its not even worth trying. Leaving the Braves game the highway was a mess. A better idea? Getting off at the MLK exit, driving to L5P and grabbing a beer. It was a Friday night and this place was dead! However, that left the waitress to our disposal and our service was great! That is until I got iced, but she did apologize to me. Decent beer prices and good food. I had the tater tots (I'm easy to please, if you have a basket of tots on your menu you get an automatic extra star) and tasted a yummy salad that had goat cheese and walnuts on it. We wanted drinks fast and decided to try this place because the others were packed and we were in a time crunch. However, coming here was a mistake. First off theres a outside seating area that we wanted to go get drinks at the bar and head on over to. So we're waiting at the bar (for a while, mind you) and the bartender finally comes over, asks why we aren't siting, we said we wanted the drinks for the outside patio he goes "Okay I cant serve you." If you're a fan of Premier League or international football in general, there is no finer place to watch a match. The Brewhouse draws expats from all over the area to watch their favorite teams in football and rugby, opening early to to suit the international television schedules as needed. Check out the events page on their website for a full calendar of matches to be shown and special hours. The food at Brewhouse is alright. The brunch special with food for two and a pitcher of bloody marys for $25 is a personal favorite. Although I end up drinking about three fourths of the pitcher and my wife has to drive us home. Then I'm pretty much useless and avoiding mowing the lawn for a few hours. This is an awesome bar/café in the heart of little five points. I came here with some friends for drinks and to watch the soccer game and just hang out. They have big TVs so another perfect spot for watching matches. The location is perfect bc it's near a bunch of other bars so perfect area for bar hopping. There is an indoor and outdoor area which is great. The drinks are all good and well priced. They have giant beers you can order... aaand giant drinks like the fishbowl. The fish now was delicious it tasted like a more alcoholic pinacolada. The crowd here was really nice and lively. We actually made friends with everyone near us and the bartenders were also very friendly and willing to help. There was an area to play darts which is awesome because I love darts! Easily the best atmosphere I've found in America for watching soccer matches. If I was a local I'd visit regularly. Had some biscuits with sausage gravy and cheese grits, complimented my morning viewing nicely. My only gripes are that the venue has precious little parking (though at the time of morning on the weekend when you typically watch soccer matches parking is readily available in the extended neighborhood) and an AC unit overhead periodically dripped onto me (perhaps just a case of bad luck with seating ‍). read more

The Brewhouse is a cool, English type sports bar with a definite college frat feel. There's sports paraphernalia everywhere. The inside is dark and damp and very cozy. It's the kind of place where people don't stay strangers for long. We sat on the patio, which has an amazingly big view of Little Five points. It allows us to people watch while we wait on our food. It's one of my sweetie's favorite spots. The Brewhouse is usually soooo on point for us. Our appetites for the evening called for Nachos and chicken tenders; nothing too complex or difficult to prepare. This was our third time getting the nachos. We hadn't tried the tenders. When our food finally came, It was lack luster. The tenders were bland. They had a very interesting breading but once we got past the breading it was just blah! Even the nachos, which we'd enjoyed on several occasions lacked their usual flare. Perhaps it was the long hold times that destroyed this experience for us, either way, the food was below The Brewhouse's normal fanfare. As for the service, it was piss poor. It took them about twenty minutes to get the server to come out to say hello; that doesn't include the time it took to bring us water or take our order. It was too long. Several other employees came near our table but no one actually spoke to us or inquired as to how we were doing. My sweetie finally got up from her seat and went to inquire about our server. Naturally, this prompted a visit by another employee who apologized for the long wait; we tried t order our food but he informed us that he wasn't our server. . While he was there, entertaining our complaints, our real server showed up and started to apologize. Before he could finish, a patron from a nearby table called him Over to complain. Normally, I would have insisted that he complete our order before attending to anyone else, but having waited as well, I could understand their frustration. So, I decided to overlook the slight and focus instead on ease dropping. Evidently The table next to ours had waited 45 minutes for their food. I suppose that The ridiculous wait times must be the norm for busy nights. Anyway, when we finally got to actually place an order with our server, he was polite and apologetic. He brought our drinks out in under four minutes. I was appreciative. Our food took quite awhile to come out. The waiter also neglected to stop by and give us updates on our extremely late order. He went to the table next to ours on three different occasions before finally coming by to speak with us. We had to actually ask him to stop and check on us! Overall, I'm not happy with this experience. Now, based on previous visits, I believe I owe The Brewhouse another trip or two before I mark them off my list. Hopefully by our next visit, they will have corrected the service issues. read more

Well, once we found out that the kitchen was closing in 15 min we wanted to leave so the kitchen doesn't have to get a big order. Once seeing the inside of this place, I did not eat there, but my companion was not as wise. Within a few hours of eating the Brewhouse Burger, they were hit with the worst case of food poisoning. On top of the roaches and food poisoning, the staff was horrible, distracted, and rude. We witnessed a few customers get blown off and disrespected for simply asking for their food after a long wait. I don't know what it is, but despite Brewhouse being just a few blocks from my casa I don't make it in there on the regular. On nice days I actually drive to Cypress to appreciate their patio over Brewhouse's equally spectacular one. Maybe it's just because I have my comfort zone, or maybe it's because I haven't given Brewhouse a fair shake. On my most recent visit, a stunningly gorgeous Friday afternoon, the patio was desolate. It was totally weird, and I can't explain it. Bands were setting up for the L5P parade and festival, there was a slight breeze, blue skies, and I was the only one there. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, just that I found it odd. My server, Colleen, was quick with the refills and quite friendly. The beer list didn't totally blow me away, but I suppose that's what the Porter is for. I know one thing: I'll be back to Brewhouse a lot sooner than originally planned.
