Though there are references to community services like job training and a food pantry, the space has a very ecumenical vibe. There are multiple seating areas throughout the building, with a wide variety of seating options. Visitors will find comfortable benches, pews, stools at bars throughout the building, as well as comfy upholstered chairs. There is also a large covered patio with plenty of outdoor seating that appears to be very dog-friendly. The coffee shop offers a wide variety of drinks and food, including delicious breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Unfortunately, there was only one gluten free item that was displayed in a case touching items containing gluten. The staff are courteous and prompt, and offered suggestions when asked. I'm happy to finally visit this coffee shop, and will likely invite friends to meet me here in the future. It's a comfortable, inviting and well-lighted space.

I would strongy recommend the Geek Amime Cafe to any anime and manga enthusiasts, visitors from Portand Saturday market, tourists, for a meal, and anyone in the neighborhood.

I visited during the daytime cafehours. The background jazz music was excellent and played at a comfortable volume, not too loud. I ordered an espresso boosted matcha and really enjoyed it. The drinks are a little on the pricey side, but considering the columbian specialty bean, size of the drink and also spacious seats, it felt fine. The interior has a natural, green vibe that makes the space feel calm and inviting. The bartender was very sweet and welcoming. The same location changes to a weekend bar in the evening called Secret Grove, where I have not been. Would love to check it out too.
