After spending lots of money there this year during concert season, after tonight I WILL NEVER BE BACK. Seated at 5:40, ordered pizza and some salads around 5:50, with plenty of time before a 7:30 show (or so we thought). Salads came fortunately, bit NO pizzas. We asked our utterly incompetent waitress repeatedly for the status of our order as we watched other tables who came in well after us get their pizzas. At 6:50 (an hour now) we told our waitress if pizzas weren't out now, to cancel the order as we'd never make the show. She disappeared, never to be heard from again. Now at 7:00 the manager came out of hiding and offered no apology, no discount of the bill, but a round of drinks, knowing full well we were looking to leave and couldn't accept. Claimed the order was only put in 20 minutes prior (which would have been AN HOUR after we ordered). Crossing this dump off my list for good. read more

I enjoyed the beer here, if you like IPAs high tide is the way to go. Dr Porter's Stout is very subtle. The other beers I got in my flight were coach, which was a surprisingly good sour, and the blood orange which was balanced and subtle. The bartender, Melanie, was prompt and friendly. Their home made root beer and pizza (with every topping imaginable to choose from!) was awesome. Great atmosphere and our server, Brittany, was totally attentive, friendly, smiling and just had an awesome positive energy about her. If your looking for a good spot to hang out and have good pizza in ct brewport is worth a visit. They have a great selection of beers and there pizza is very good. I got the mashed potatoe pizza with bacon and my wife got the shrimp veggie lover gluten free pizza which was a special. Both pizzas were really good and we definitely will be coming back. read more

If I could put 0 stars I would, my friends and I wanted to catch up after being stuck inside for months. We called ahead the day before to try to make reservations but they said it was first come first serve. Our friend gets there first and goes to get a table and she's stopped rudely by a girl telling her "didn't you read the sign?". Our friends looks around and there is no sign so the girl tells her that there's a private event then proceeds to go inside and get the so called sign. Our friend tells her "oh that sign wasn't there before" and the girl snootily replies "well it is now" If there was a private event we should have been told when we called the day before and that worker was extremely rude, patronizing, condescending, and unprofessional. We had an amazing time at Brewport today! We were celebrating my brother's 40th birthday and I was concerned about St Patrick's day crowds but we had an amazing time! Fantastic service, amazing beer, and really good pizza!! Even with St Patrick's Day crowds and an event at the arena. Thank you Brewport!! I was intending to try different beers but enjoyed the Dr Porter's Stout so much I stuck with it for the evening. I tried a few different pizzas - white with spinach and mushroom, the brewmaster, and plain mozz - all great. Loved the thin crust and the delicious sauce. Stopped at Brewport for the first time after passing it on the highway for months. Was u sure of how the pizza would be after the mixed reviews on here. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was! We ordered the Brewmaster and the special for the day which was a white pizza with pesto, eggplant and bacon. Both were very delicious on a thin crust pizza. Neither of us are huge beer drinkers but the bartender was great and let us taste multiple beers to help us decide what to order. The root beer is one of the top three root beers in all of Christendom. Pizza is fine. It's very thin. My Italian brother in law (actual Italian, not a guy from West Haven with a diamond earring and a Sopranos poster in his living room (hi uncle Joe!)) describes this type of pizza as "so thin it doesn't fill you up." I think is a compliment.. Italian people tend to express things more abstractly than native English speakers. But he's Italian so obviously he knows pizza - even if he is lactose and gluten intolerant AND allergic to tomatoes. The beers don't really do it for me. There are a lot of great ct beers. Not everywhere needs to be a brewery. Unless it's a root beer brewery. Those should be more common. Have a root beer and a large pizza. Convenient location. Adequate parking. read more

Brewport was a lot of fun. It's in a great old factory space, which they use as part of the design features. The food and pizzas are excellent and the beers are across the board, from stouts to IPAs. My wife enjoyed the 7th inning IPA, I loved the Blood Orange Blonde and I also enjoyed that they work with a local beer historian to recreate beers that were once brewed in Bridgeport. It's a great way to learn new techniques and ideas about brewing by exploring the area's past. Brewport is walking distance to the baseball stadium here so is a good choice before the game. read more

This was a pretty sweet brewpub. I didn't get to try the food but the beer was really good. I like a lighter beer so my favorite was the blood orange blonde. It was perfect. It was insanely busy for a Friday afternoon. All the tables were full and people were crowding around the bar. Good thing that the place is so large. They sell their own house made beers and also other local beers. The glasses are really cute and the prices are reasonable. I ordered the white clam (small is $28) and the crust wasn't just paper thin (And I do like a thin pizza) but this was like having a clam pizza on a matzah cracker (no offense to the matzah lovers of the world). This place is a hidden gem I have to stop at if I'm in Bridgeport. It can get quite crowded during dinner, but we had the entire place to ourselves during lunch on a weekday. Their tap menu is constantly changing and the beers they brew in house are tasty. However, when paired with the pizzas which they additionally are known for, its a match made for heaven. A large barrett is more than enough for 2+ people and is served with a large bowl of kimchi which tops off this bbq pork pizza. I really like this place. It's more of a bar atmosphere and a bit on the louder side. They have a large variety of homemade brewed beers and also a good variety of imported bottles. What I REALLY love is their pizza. It's very thin crust which is exactly what I like, and they have their own specials, but you can also build your own. Don't forget to ask for the special pizza of the day because they come up with some really good ones! A small pizza is more then enough for 2 people in my opinion. Last week a few of my co-workers and I decided to have a happy hour at Brewport. About 17 of us decided to go and I called to make a reservation since we wanted to make sure to get a table. The person I spoke with told me that I had to pay $25 for a table and since we needed two tables it was $50. she told me that when I got there I would get a $50 gift card to reimburse me. the fee was to just hold the tables. when I got there the host at the door had no idea what I was taking about. I asked for the manager who told me he also never heard of such a thing and I was not going to get my $50 back or the gift card. there was an event at the amphitheater on that day and Brewport was charging event goers $25 to park. it had nothing to do with just going there for a happy hour. my friends and I all parked in the general parking. I called the next day to talk to the manager again and he told me I wasn't the only one who was told that and he was going to fire the employee. he told me he was not going to reimburse me and that he could do nothing for me. What a mess. Get your stuff together and don't let your head get too big. You're not Sallys or Pepes or Moderna, you're not in that league. Not only do they all have amazing pizza and the originators of New Haven style apizza but they know how to run a restaurant, even when they're bursting at the seams (which they do daily). If I were reviewing just the pizza I would give 5 stars. However, due to the way our very large party was treated I can only give 2. Following a soccer game that we had to drive over an hour for half of my daughters team decided to stop here for a meal after the game. As soon as we arrived we were treated rude, both by staff and a gentleman I believe was the manager. Who was overheard saying something along the lines of "they can pay by table not by family" and came out to tell the girls they couldn't dance on the patio area when we were the only ones occupying the entire area. We're rarely out in that area of the state and next time I don't think we will visit this place again. Despite how AMAZING the pizza is. Maybe work on your interpersonal communication skills and customer service skills and not treat a large party that's about to spend a few hundred in your location like trash. read more

Small brewery that serves a limited but tasty menu of pizza and salads (didn't try the salads yet). The Barrett pizza which is a white pie with Korean BBQ pulled pork with a side of kimchi is very good for those that like spicy without burning your taste buds off. My favorite beers so far are the Vanilla Porter and the Barrett Brothers Brown Ale. They have round tables and booths for four and long tables for groups. There are other rooms for large parties with large connect four, chess and checkers for rent I suppose. Overall, very good experience. read more
