Quiet, warm and an awesome place to study. Spent a couple hours here studying with a coffee and a chocolate almond pastry- both delicious.

Love this place. Stopped by on a Sunday morning for an Americano and expected it to be crowded, but the place had a relaxing ambiance and plenty of open seats. Decor in the cafe is simple yet beautiful, the neighborhood outside is quite nice and new as well. Service is straightforward and not fussy, drinks were on point and authentic. And may I add one last note: the seats are actually comfortable. I've been trying a lot of coffee shops in the JC area and I've noticed that many of their chairs (whether it be at the counter or tables) are at awkward heights or just plain uncomfortable, but the seating in Brewshot is perfect. read more

This place is kind of strange, but lovely as a place to settle in and do quiet work or hang out on the weekend. I came there as a big group and they were very tolerant of us, but the barista was super laid back and sometimes spent quite a while talking to his regulars while there were people waiting in the line. Definitely not a place to go if you're in a rush, but the cookie we tried was really lovely and they happily topped up my tea with hot water. read more

If you want a real cup of coffee - not a dunka whatever or a grande frappathingy - this is your place. After traveling in Rome, Florence, Venice and Paris i realized that there aren't any supersized watered down fast food coffee joints. What you will find is a plether of smaller cafes that make authentic brews. Dont get me wrong -I love a good D&D drink - but when i want real coffee i will come to Brew shot Give it a shot - have a seat and drink it from a real cup (not to go) its a different experience - enjoy the coffe experiance - dont just guzzle it like you are filling up gas and you will see the value. pari read more

Brewshot is a great addition to the neighbourhood. Its ambience is nice, and it's got free wifi. French press was quite good.. However we went in for an ice-coffee and the experience left much to be desired. The $4 ice coffee did not taste smooth, full bodied and of good quality as touted. The quality of the cup (small for $4) and straw could have been of better quality as the straw broke very soon after we left the front door. They should at least have a syrup for the iced drinks as sugar would not melt. Milk could have been poured from a jug or a bottle, instead of a plastic gallon coming straight out of the fridge. Pastries selection is very limited, hoping to see some bread and cakes. Brewshot needs to up its game considering that Legal Grounds and upcoming Cocoa are just around the corner. Otherwise there is very little reason to revisit this place again. read more

Pluses: great space -- really well designed bright sunlit interior with cool coffee "artifacts", lots of seating and nice details like their chemistry set looking cold drip coffee maker in the corner. Excellent latte with uniquely smooth flavor, piping hot, very bold beans and served in real glassware for an order to stay. Negatives: they were out of basic drink ingredients and baked goods on a Saturday morning just after opening. Really Brewshot!? Send someone out for soy milk and some bagels -- it's your grand opening month, way to make a first impression! Advice: As a long-time fan of Legal Grounds just a couple blocks away I felt right away that this sleek new space has its work cut out for it to offer the same type of friendly neighborhood ambiance where locals can establish a routine and feel welcome. The curtain wall glass, 20 foot ceilings, sleek stone bar and jet-engine-looking coffee maker earn cool points but aren't necessarily ingredients for a welcoming atmosphere that feels inviting and worth the prices as the cold months approach. read more

A little more expensive than I'd like, but it's a great spot. I like really the atmosphere. Very bright, lots of windows, and a decent amount of places where you can plugin and work for a while. Not too loud either, as some other coffee shops I've hung out at are. I also like that there is some outdoor seating here. I will say the vanilla iced latte I had was a bit too sweet. I really enjoy coming to Brewshot for a yummy coffee and to study! They have plenty of seating, free wifi and lots of outlets to do work. It isn't too loud and they always play great music! Jersey City has a place to enjoy a good tasting coffee, fine teas and pastries. The barista at the coffee bar introduced me to the smoothest cappuccino, served to perfection. He explained the process to me which I found interesting and awesome. Similar to a fine wine, coffee served at Brewshot is an education for your senses and tastes. It is an enjoyable experience. I have had several client meetings at Brewshot, I find the atmosphere similar to my own kitchen. Warm, inviting, cool music playing in the background and wifi access. About those drink straws. I did have a similar experience with the straws. I ordered a side of water, put my straw in and it cracked (under the pressure of the tight lid). When I inquired about the straws, I found out that they are bio-degradable. So, go easy on the straws. As with everything in the design of the coffee bar, they are working toward respect for the environment and review all of their products for sustainability. As a resident of Liberty Harbor, this was a much needed addition to the community. The quality of the coffee and teas is very good. The problem is with the dependability of the staff. Seems as though they consistently miss their shifts and the owner has to scramble to cover for them. And let's just say he is NOT a barista. I've stood in lines for 20 mins only to have my latte made with water and not milk. This is not an isolated incident and has been happening more and more frequently as of late. If you go here and see a tall older man making drinks, either leave or order tea. Do not get a coffee drink, he is clueless. NOTE TO THE OWNER: Hire more reliable staff. You are losing customers because it takes too long and you are not a barista! read more

I've been going to Brewshot for years, and sadly the quality has changed. My latte was way too hot for me to drink. The barista did make me another one after bringing it up to her. However, I feel like she wasn't trained well since she made the milk too hot. With this said, I think it's time to find a new cafe. read more

Pretty good place. Nice location. The shop itself it well laid out and clean, with plenty of places to sit. There are a good amount of outlets to plug things in. It's in a fairly quiet location, so if you need to take a call, you can step outside. The coffee is a bit more expensive than other shops in the area, but is of high quality. Check out the cold-brewed iced coffee, it is really good. Brewshot is a good place to get some work done out of the office, and serves a damned fine cup of coffee. read more

I saw the banner for BrewShot and figured I'd try it out being an espresso aficionado. The location itself is nice. Bright, open layout. The service: ridiculous. I ordered a double shot of espresso to-go. I paid. Then was told by the barista that her employer does not allow espresso to be taken to go. That she would make me the espresso but I would have to stand there and drink the espresso out of a coffee cup. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. So sensing my frustration with not being about to take my $3 coffee to go, the barista then starts discussing the rule with the other barista in an attempt to make herself look less ridiculous and how it's her employer that made her start discouraging and denying espresso to go. I'm not sure if this is a standing policy here but I will certainly not be back and will not recommend this place to anyone especially if they are demanding you drink their coffee in a certain manner. read more

This place is such a little gem, I'm almost reluctant to let others in on my little secret spot! The place is bright with lots of windows, high ceilings with high-top seating around the windows and communal tables in the center. My usual is a soy latte and they make it perfectly - they don't over roast their beans and they froth the soy till its deliciously creamy. I've eaten their small items - last time i had some type of croquette. But i did notice a new fridge by the door with food in it and the guy told me they have just started having sandwiches - which I will definitely try next time. I really like this place. Its so chill and pretty. Just hope its not ruined by laptop campers :( read more

Brewshot is slightly off the beaten path, located within a new and growing Duany-designed New Urbanist style development near Liberty State Park. It seems to have more space than most other JC coffee shops and does not get as much foot traffic as a downtown location, which means it's a great place to get work done. It has both bar stool-style seating with accessible outlets and several tables. There's coffee, espresso, and plentiful tea selection with some pastries and snacks that are uninspiring. Their lattes are gross and last time I went, which is getting less and less frequent, the barista turned up the volume on the music unusually high. Are you kidding me? Bring an extra layer in the winter; it gets cold in there sometimes, especially as people enter through the side door. If you spend as much time there as I do, you'll notice how loud the chairs screech when people move and adjust them. A small detail, but there are probably inexpensive remedies for this. read more

Coffee is good but I am sad because it used to be a quite place, perfect to work and read. Now, I agree with Sanjin I. "for the love of god can you please stop blasting the music. While they have good coffee and make good lattes, the choice of food is minimal. There are barely any savory items on the menu...they carry bagels (not the best) but most of the times they have run out. I have lived across Brewshot for 5 years now, and i have barely seen any additions to the menu. It's a fun spot but would be much better if they added some innovation to their menu! read more

i come here some days to work and really love the place! great tea/coffee & decent pastries. everyone is really nice and laid back. there are plenty of outlets and the wifi is pretty fast. i prefer to come here over starbucks or warehouse cafe although they are closer to my apt. read more

I visited for my first time last week to do some work when the work-from-home isolation just got to be too much. I love it! The staff is super friendly (in a way I've been sorely missing since I moved to the NY area from the midwest). Ditto to the space, as I've missed large coffee shops since moving to this area as well. Coffee is great (rich espresso..yummm). I plan to come here again soon. Just be aware that the parking available on the street is policed pretty thoroughly by the building management, as I saw someone booting a car that had been there over two hours. read more

Boy their expresso/coffee is strong-- which is perfect for me since I'm usually always there working. The prices are steep but the people are very nice. Music is a little loud but nothing good noise-blocking headphones can't fix. The place is huge and clean with plenty of tables. And free wifi. I am not a coffee/tea drinker. I simply walked in to check the place out. It is beautifully decorated with cool coffee gadgets and i loved the idea of using an ipad as a cash register. The barista recommended i try their affagado. I LOVED IT ! I have never had an affagado before and it was amazing. The perfect blend of ice-cream and an espresso shot. This is a great little coffeeshop off the main drag in a relatively quiet corner of Jersey City (right down the street from Zeppelin Hall). The coffee is delicious--and affordable!--the food is great, and the staff members are kind and accommodating. Easy walk to both PATH and Light Rail stations. My friends and I have spent two full days in the last week using Brewshot as our "office"...it's a great place to get some work done! Free WiFi! I'll absolutely be back again! read more
