Their social media photos looked really authentic, which was important as both of our families are from Hawaii and that crunchy, grainy product that passes for "shaved ice" (ugh lol) that you usually find in LA would instantly be called out! To my delight, they came in with a very reasonable bid and we had fun choosing the flavors and toppings with their executive assistant, Joy. The contract and booking process were clear and pain-free and I was impressed that their team showed up early to get set up and not add more stress to an already very stressful and busy morning. I hired a crew of two servers to streamline things, although I'm not sure it was totally necessary, but they worked quickly and diligently and the line never got crazy. Everyone loved the shave ice and my friend from my hometown on Oahu even had three bowls(!) While I don't plan on getting married again anytime soon, I would definitely love to hire them again if the occasion came up, and we were asked by a couple of the attendees for the contact info for their own parties in the future.

Both of the employees working were polite and everything was made in a few minutes. They don't have a dedicated parking lot, but we were able to find a space directly in front so parking is really easy in this part of town. For this visit, I chose cherry and strawberry and got a large and it was honestly huge. I would say medium is more than fine and a large is something that would be hard to finish. I would recommend this to any fan of Hawaiian shaved ice and would stop in again next time I am in this part of town.

Interestingly, despite the rich flavor it doesn't feel too heavy. I also appreciate the layer of custard at the bottom as well because by the time you get through the top dollop of custard, you still have half the ice remaining on the bottom.
