The old location was a hidden gem with great food, friendly staff, and fast service. The only drawback was limited parking. We have been to the new location 3 times. Parking is worse and the traffic into and out of the parking lot is a nightmare due to poor design and lack of signs that results in people driving the wrong way. All 3 visits we waited twice as long for a table as we were told. The seating capacity of the new location looks to be about the same. It took 30-40 minutes to get our food. As always, the food was excellent. I hope that they get the kinks worked out with the staff (a lot of new faces) and the kitchen. read more

Anyone would think I'm nuts to give this place another shot at a decent review but such was not the case. Gyro sandwich meat was dry as sawdust, nothing tender about it so aside from the pita bread, onions, tomatoes, and tiziki sauce the sandwich was a bust. Carbonated water was $2.50 a glass and the server never gave a refill although one was needed 5 minutes before she even came back to hand us the bill. This place is looking " run down" and dirty as a move is in the works but never a reason to have guests eat in a filthy restaurant. Restaurants keep getting worse all the time. Went to new location for breakfast. Somewhat disappointing. The homefries had odd tasting seasoning. We could not eay them. Each piece of my toast were only done on half of each slice. The interior is warm and welcoming, a very home-like atmosphere. There was a short wait in a Friday at brunch time, but we were quickly seated. The server was a bit slow to greet and bring drinks, but the food came quickly once ordered. Everything was very enjoyable: the pancakes were fluffy, the home fries were thick yet thoroughly cooked, the gravy was flavorful, and the eggs were all cooked correctly. The service and host staff seemed more than a little confused, but the kitchen staff obviously know their business. Overall a pleasant experience. It wasn't mind-blowing, and I don't know that I would go out of my way to visit, but were I to be in the area, I would visit again. read more

Omg so yummy in my tummy . After looking over their fairly large menu, it was very difficult to decide just one thing. I asked our server a few clarifying questions and finally decided. The wait time from the time we ordered to the time we were served was average/acceptable. After just a couple of bites, my taste buds were having a party in my mouth . It was so good that I immediately started thinking that I wanted to order another meal. And I I really wanted to because it was that good. I am glad I didn't, though, because the portions were large enough to keep me full. This wasn't our first time at BHD, and it will not be the last. I went for brunch because I had heard so much about the breakfast and thought this is a great for me because I don't have to drive downtown from Midlothian for a good breakfast/brunch. I couldn't decide on what meal and my waiter spoke highly of the pancakes so I went with the pancake meal and a passion fruit mimosa. First the mimosa, I was looking forward to the pineapple passion fruit however I was told they don't use passion fruit so it's really just pineapple juice what a bummer. In view of this, I asked for the Sunset but I believe I still got the pineapple because the Sunset should have cranberry and I saw no sign of cranberry. Now to the pancake combo which came with two eggs, potatoes, grits, or baked apples along with your choice of meat. My bacon was basically burnt, I'm not a fan of crunchy bacon but this was past crunchy and typically when I see eggs are included they are usually scrambled which I said scrambled with cheese medium but they do more of an omelette (I'm sure if you asked for a different style it would be cooked that way). Regardless of the egg style they did cook them medium as requested but I was expecting more of a scrambled egg. I'm a potato type of girl and I would give the home fries 5 . Now last but not least the pancakes. They were the best part of my meal (other than the homes fries), light, slight vanilla taste. Make sure you have an empty stomach because they are huge! I do plan to revisit to try the omelettes and baked apples and provide an updated review. A co worker recommended this place when I asked about a good breakfast spot. One morning a co worker and I decided to go get breakfast. It is a nice little place, I liked the atmosphere there. We were seated right away and our server was very nice and attentive. The food quantity was great, I ended up taking food home and taste was great too. We first had bagels with cream cheese which was very good by the way I was expecting more selections on the menu though but this was a great first time experience. They have nice and friendly staff. We found this place by accident and so happy we did! The food was incredible, and our waitress was very friendly. I had the Bacon & Blue burger, which was piled with bacon and blue cheese. My kids had the wings and Mac n Cheese Burger and they raved about both! Introduced the kids to Fried Green Beans and they said they were their new favorite vegetable, haha! Roadside diners are the best! This modern diner on Route 60 is nestled in among a busy stretch of Midlothian, so it can be easily missed. The cute brick exterior will help you find it! Limited parking in the front, lots more in the back. Inside warm colors of terra cotta and sage filled the cozy space. We grabbed a booth, missed breakfast, so we settled for an early lunch. (Why can't all diners do breakfast all day?) The menu had some good choices. Almost too varied. I tend to prefer places that focus on one type of fare rather than a mixture of Greek, Italian, Seafood, etc. We figured paninis were a safe bet. We chose the chicken pesto which was really tasty but heavy on the onions. The shoestring fries were fresh and hot! I'd like to come back to catch breakfast. The service was superb! Fast and friendly delivery, warm but not overbearing servers. The prices won't put a big dent in your wallet. Large and tender sandwich. For as thin as they were, the fries could've used a little bit more crisp, but they weren't bad. They had a special soup & vegetable on the board and a special entree. 2 people in my party got the half-pound burgers with fries. The burgers were delicious & cooked to order. The fries are cut fresh there & are quite tasty. Another person got the open faced turkey sandwich. The turkey was tender & flavorful, the mashed potatoes are from scratch, but were missing something. I had the gyro salad- excellent taste. I could have gone with more olives, but that's a minor complaint. I really wanted to try dessert. There is a lady that makes all the desserts baklava, kataifi, chocolate eclair pie... I wish I can give this review a negative star. It was our first time trying this diner. They sat us outside and basically forgot about us. I waited for 20 mins with my order ready and I guess the food runner forgot to relay the message to the waitress that our table was hers. I had to ask another waitress that we have been waiting for 25ish mins with no one coming to checking up on us. Food comes back and there was no flavor or seasoning, even on the fries. Then to top it off, their card reader went down and can't accept credit card payments.
