Had an amazing experience at this pizza place! The guys running it are extremely attentive and go above and beyond. They came up to our table at least twice to check up on us and asked how everything was tasting. I let one of the guys know that the ham and mushroom pizza reminded me of a pizza I used to get as a kid. Honestly, I haven't had that taste in my mouth in years and I'm so happy I found a pizza to reminisce it. They even went out of there way to give us some garlic bread on the house! Ordered over the phone, hoping that they would not use a third party to deliver like Door Dash. The phone call was excruciatingly difficult and it has never taken me so long to order one pizza, but the person working was nice so it didn't bother me... Until I got the text message that our order was being delivered by door dash. I have tried using them twice before, and both times my order wasn't picked up and I had to go pick my food up myself and then fight with them to get my money back on the delivery. So after about 30 minutes (when I was told to start expecting the pizza, 30-40 minutes) I get a very confusing call from the "dasher". "Is this for pickup or delivery?" I was asked, almost not sure how to answer because I was certain that this was not as stupid as I thought it was. I am not aware of a situation where door dash would need to be involved in a carry out order, but I politely offer as much help as I can... because I can see this is already off to a bad start. Another 30 minutes pass (to go 2.5 miles) and I get a series of phone calls, asking which apartment I am in. I had to answer this question no less than 5 times. Did Brick shack not put it down? I mean, the person on the phone at brick shack only asked 4 times and had me spell it 6 times, but whatever. I finally get my pizza, and of course it is cold. So after over an hour I now had to wait for the oven to warm up. Even after that, it was evident this was never more than a 3 star pizza in the first place. I could have traveled to the grocery store, browsed the frozen foods section and bought a pizza, traveled back home, preheated the oven and then cooked it myself in less time and for less money. I'll do just that next time. You might want to say that much of this could be Door Dash's fault, so I am being unfair... But they hired door dash, not me. I won't be back. read more

I would give this a five-star, but I came here to try a small portion of pizza and pasta (pesto) for the Yelp Event. The pizza was a bit cold, but I could taste the quality sauce and crust. Next time I come back, I will try a more considerable portion to justify the authentic taste of their pizza. Love the pizza and wings here! I never tried the food here when it was the previous pizza restaurant, but after hearing good reviews I gave it a try and have not regretted it. I've ordered twice already and the pizza dough, cheese and toppings are great. The wings are delicious, I ordered the regular buffalo style winhs. They were not over cooked or burned. And the have a lot of sauce on them. Prices are reasonable, they are not going to be chain store low prices, but the quality is much better. Both times I ordered carry out since I live 2 blocks away. Wow I Just order a pizza for my kids and it was going to be about an hr to an hr and 15 minutes wait time apparently something went wrong with there system and my order didn't go through. Didn't get a call back or any notice. I had to call them back and found out that they would have to re order my order or get a refund. Unfortunately I was met with lack of professionalism and unsanitary business. Upon receiving our pizza we found a hair inside of it, no biggie, shit happens. BUT the unprofessional part was that the lady at the register saw the pizza and did NOT apologize nor offered a refund or replacement for it, they simply took it back and left it at that. I love Brick Shack! Been coming ever since it was known as Mario's but i believe family members bought it off the original owner. I'm glad they did because the changes they made definitely brought the menu and the pizza back to life while keeping the same traditional Mario's flavor. I ordered a large pepperoni & sausage pizza with half pineapple and the other half garlic. I got no pepperoni or sausage only half pineapple & cheese. i'm sorry I like to give fair reviews. Am I missing something with this pizza place? Is it just an ordinary pizza place or is it supposed to be like authentic Italy food I know it sounds weird but I don't normally like the authentic because I grew up on not liking authentic example. I tasted the meatball sandwich and immediately I can see it wasn't to my liking andI think it was the sauce pretty bad meat ball was not a meatball it was sliced up. I thought to myself well at least I'll be able to enjoy a good salad Wrong!! I asked for Italian dressing but I'm not sure if that was a talion or vinegar because it wasn't that great but I'm like how can you go bad with a salad? Well this salad had some green cut up some thing like bell pepper, peppers or something and I think there was some red ones as well that's not something that I like so all I know I didn't like anything. I hate to say that but I don't know if there's anyway I can get my almost $11 back because it was a Waze for me.
