I think the interface between Brick Works and DoorDash might need to be looked at. I ordered a cheeseburger, something Brick Works does very well. I received a burger. No cheese, no lettuce. No onions or tomatoes. No mayo. Cooked until it was a hockey puck, on a pretzel bun. And some sort of cheese sauce on the side. I'd ordered a cheeseburger; lettuce, tomatoes, onions; medium with cheddar cheese Something broke along the way. I'll bet they figure it out though. Brickworks is great. read more

Beer is good. Appetizer was good. But - sitting at the bar, the smell of bleach is overwhelming!! I thought I was sitting next to the sink so I moved - and the people sitting next to me commented on the smell. I have eaten at this restaurant multiple times and the food / service has been good. Tonight I ordered from the specials menu - a patty melt. One would expect a hamburger patty, caramelized onions, melted cheese on bread which is the classic definition of a patty melt, right? This was to come with mashed potatoes and broccoli. We came here after setting up the camper at a nearby campground and having eaten at their location in Smyrna, DE. When we arrived there was a bit of a wait but only because no one wanted to sit outdoors. We chose to be sat right away outside as the weather was a wonderful sunny 67 degrees. We were seated about 40 minutes before dusk so it did get a little chilly. We both ordered the gumbo which was great with a nice bite of heat to it. She ordered the kill it skillet and it was delicious. She even had enough for lunch the next day. I ordered a burger which was slightly over cooked but still juicy and tasty. They obviously hand cut their fries which are very good and the mustard served with them is tasty. I ordered the surfs up IPA which was good and she ordered a mixed drink which was a coconut punch cocktail that she loved. We ordered a simple take out order & even called the restaurant right before to ensure that the modifications of two meals were met (one of which was due to a severe food allergy!). Upon arriving the hostess was very sweet and welcoming while the bartender who is in charge of to-go orders did not say a single word to me. Service is basic at best, might get better customer service results from high schoolers... We also paid an additional $8 for "crab" mac n cheese and there was no crab to be found. The menu seems great, but the food is mediocre. Someone ordered fish and chips at my table and we could immediately smell the fish cooking, but not at all in a good way, almost like it went bad. The young lady hostess team needs to get there game together. They told my party of 7 it would be soon when we walked in. After 30 min they said they could not seat us cause a manger told them there were only two tables big enough to fit us and those tables just got there food. Then continued to bash the the manager in front of our party saying they had no idea who's she thought she was and was going to complain to another manger I think by the name of Tim. Not sure if this place or new or still working out kinks but not a good first impression. Will give it another shot at a later date as the menu looked good, but not a good start. read more

We love this place My wife and I have eaten here 3 times and they have only been open a couple months. All 3 times our servers were fantastic. Last weekend we took 5 other people with us there. As their logo says, everything is made from scratch. They have dinners and sandwiches, and lots of craft beer. its a little noisy inside, but we could hold a conversation. Arenas was closed and we craved their cheese fries. This place was the only place open and we got their crab fries. It was so large that it filled up 2 people. But raw size wasn't just it. Very generous portions of crab and we added truffle sauce - amazing. I would highly recommend. They also list what types of beer to get that pair well with each meal - which is cool. Came here after Black Friday shopping and we missed the dinner rush, but never felt as though we were neglected when the rush picked up. The beer has great pun names and a delicious selection. Nice happy hour deals as well with great priced flights. Their IPAs across the board are very good and I would highly recommend. We have oysters and calamari as apps. The calamari was really delicious and have edamame that came in it with a delicious chili sauce. The oysters were fresh and only a $1! I had the crab cake burger, and oh, my, goodness. I've never had this much crab this size. It was so fresh and very tasty with capers and tartar sauce. HIGHLY recommend. I also tried the schnitzel sandwich, and I simply loved it. My compatriots who tried it didnt like the sweet red cabbage on it, but I thought it was a perfect balance of salty and sweet and wanted more! I called and was put on hold for ten minutes the phone went to dial tone. Then called back and was put on hold again to wait another twenty minutes. I could then hear everything that was going on. I blame myself for returning to this establishment after having horrible service last spring along with bland food but hey it is local. Not a beer drinker so perhaps some bit of the fake ambiance is wasted on me but the fake unfinished brick just looks likes someone stopped in the middle of cleaning the place. Ordered burgers which should be easy but 3 burgers ordered, three served differently than ordered, especially the one ordered w/o cheese due to a cheese ALLERGY served with...you guessed it cheese. Overpriced children's menu, ordered buttered noodles and the serving was about an ounce with barely a trace of butter, disgusting looking. Service was sporadic with someone asking a bit too often if we needed something early in the visit to everyone disappearing when we wanted to leave and just needed a bill. We live about 8 minutes from this place and this is where my husband and I go when we feel like we deserve a fun date night. The food is fantastic (I recommend The Bandit) and the selection of beer is great! They offer multiple sizes of beer so you can essentially sample them all evening. I usually get a 7 oz of something and then switch it up through the night. The prices are very reasonable and it's a very fun atmosphere. read more
