We were staying in Fort Bragg and waited for this beautiful place to open up because of the reviews. We were not disappointed at all. The staff were super friendly and the location/views you couldn't complain! We were offered to sit inside or outside and sat outside with shady umbrellas so it was very nice scenery. The staff was super nice and had great recommendations! But the food and drinks were super fresh! I ordered fish and chips and it was the best in the area. The fish was fresh, light, and not heavy with grease at all. I could tell the fries were homemade along with the tartar sauce. My partner eas craving classic eggs benedict and he got exactly what we was looking for. The sauce, the English muffins, and the eggs were perfectlly cooked! The potatoes were not greasy at all. They check in on you at your table and make sure your drinks are always full. Their hot coffee drinks in the morning also were fresh ; there was not one thing we could complain about we wanted to order another round of food it was good with a very vast menu! Price wise for two people was very very reasonable we spent about 80 bucks including coffee drinks and dessert so if you're looking for reasonable and budget friendly this is it!! This place is a must and we were so sad we saved this place for last while leaving Fort Bragg. We will be back and HIGHLY recommend stopping by here for the service and food! read more

Everything was fine and reasonably well-prepared, but nothing really stood out in terms of flavor or execution. Service was OK and the setting is definitely the draw here. And one of the days we've spent in the town wolking around. We were there 3 families - 6 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 young kids. The food was good, but our server was strange. Obviously they knew that big company's tip will be guaranteed and included by default. So the woman serving us literally threw the soup cups at us. The under plate was almost full. We had a 3 year old and we meant to share the food, so we have asked for additional plate. The plate came only after the third ask without the silverware. One of the drinks for a teen was forgotten and brought only after additional reminder. And cherry on the top we asked them for double espresso... single costs $4. The double is not on the menu. But they somehow charged us $9. Not sure where the price has come from. And they put a 20% tip... Honestly - do not recommend. read more

Stopped for some appetizers before heading to Fort Bragg. Shishito peppers were flavorful and the cup of chicken tortilla soup warmed us up in December. Not too keen on the flavor of the chicken tortilla (or the price for a small cup) and the chicken was a bit dry but it warmed us up and the view was worth it. read more

We found this place as we were walking in the downtown area. Inside seemed to be charming with big windows with great views. I liked the cod fish tacos. A little pricey, but it's Mendocino. Great Bloody Mary's! Our service was wonderful and I'm guessing the owner or manager came out to chat with us. They do accept dogs and it's a limited space of one table outside. My wife and I came here for our anniversary staying nearby in a nice inn. We were looking for a restaurant that was nearby and had a view of the ocean. From the previous reviews we took a chance and perhaps should have listened to the reviews because overall it was an ok experience. For starters we had the crab dip with local bread, our favorite dish. I ordered the cod fish street tacos which looked good but the fish was bland and dry. My wife had the beef short ribs with noodles which was good, flavorful and portion well. The view of the ocean is gorgeous as they are located on the second floor. Our waitress was nice and gave us suggestions and introduced the menu to us when asked. Sadly, the food was not up to par both portion and taste wise. The cost was quite expensive given what we got. I got the chowder and tacos and the others got fish and chips with chowder, and tacos and chowder. Our consensus was that the food was bland and we left hungry despite the amount we ordered. I hate to say it, but this place is mediocre at best. Great spot to watch the sunset or enjoy their outdoor deck, that's about where it stops. Very solid spot in an environment lacking good options. In general, I think restaurants in the area are overpriced for what is provided and for level of taste. I also feel this way about lodging, but that's a different review. However, my party and I did enjoy elements of our meal at Flow. The location is perfect, as it's on one of if not the most visited street in town. It's also on a second story and as close as it can be to the ocean, so you'd hope for good views. The town is just excessively foggy and nothing (business wise) is actually close enough to the water to see it widely. About the food: Creamy Tomato Seafood Chowder was just okay pre-salt but excellent after - so much that this review would have been just 3 stars without it. Should you not be a huge fan of tomato soup in general, this dish might win you over. The Flow Burger on a gf bun was good but also needed salt to bring its flavors to life. Not the best, but still solid. If ever back in town by any chance, will still visit here again. read more

Wow, we eat out a lot. And I haven't experienced an all around BAD dining experience like I did tonight in awhile. We were seated for about 15 minutes before a server even checked in- in my gut, I thought we should probably just bag this. And I wish I had. My husbands caprese chicken was so bad, he didn't eat it. When the server asked how everything was, I mentioned that my husband did not enjoy his meal, and he basically ignored me. On top of that, they added a 20% gratuity to our check for a party of five without mentioning it to me- just felt like poor business practices or that he was trying to ensure a tip when he knew that we hadn't had a good experience. I'm not sure why this place has so many 1 star reviews, but we had an amazing experience here! We sat at the bar and the bartender was so sweet; we chatted about our dogs and exchanged dog pictures (appropriate). We ordered one drink each and they were so good - perfectly balanced. We also ordered the crab dip...also amazing. This place is right next to the ocean and on the second floor, so you may be able to see the ocean in the daytime, but we went at night so we couldn't see anything. If you are looking for overpriced, flavorless food, this is your place. Recently went there with my family. There were seven of us in the party, and no one was happy with their meal. I got the rockfish tacos which were described as a dusted piece of rock cod as a taco. The description sounded really good. The reality was that they apparently take scraps from the rock cod and roll it in a ton of breading fry that up dump it on a dry tortilla with some sauce and a little slaw which also was flavorless and call it a meal for $23 at lunch. The french fries tasted like fish. The shrimp and chips were pretty much flavorless with the shrimp being heavily breaded. Very disappointing at a restaurant with these prices can't offer something with flavor. Strongly suggest going anywhere else. read more

This restaurant is on the second floor, and has beautiful ocean views! We were greeted upon arrival, and they told us we could pick any table we'd like. If it were a little warmer outside, we definitely would've opted to sit on the deck. But because of the breeze, we decided to sit indoors right next to the window. My husband ordered a beer, and I ordered a cider. We shared the steamed clams for an appetizer - I highly recommend! Very flavorful. My husband ordered the fish and chips, he said they're the best fish and chips he's had in awhile. I had high hopes for my seafood clam chowder... but I was a bit disappointed. The hostess was running dishes from the kitchen, they looked like they had 2 servers for the entire restaurant. Multiple people kept looking at us and didn't even say hi, we'll be right with you, etc. there was another family there sitting and waiting when we arrived, so when they FINALLY checked on us, I said "we had reservations but they were here first" -- mind you it's 7:20 now. So she looks at the family and says sorry they had a reservation, I felt bad bc they had 2 little ones so I told them to go ahead. I regretted it as we ended up waiting another 20 mins so by the time we got sat for our 7pm reservation it was 7:45. I ordered mushroom chicken to share with my toddler and my husband ordered the NY steak. Both our dishes were bland. My chicken was dry. The mushrooms were bleh. At that point we were just hungry and wanted to eat and then move on. This place has so much potential and I don't know if the service impacted the quality... but I see why the resort we stayed at did NOT include this restaurant in its recommended list. read more

Ordered an assortment of items to share for brunch over labor day weekend: Bloody Mary with shrimp, small orange juice, salmon & lox bagel and their bowl of potatoes; which was surprisingly my favorite thing! The bowl of potatoes came with garlic-cooked kale topped with a light sprinkling of cheese, and the potatoes themselves were fried to crispy perfection!
