I wonder why 27 reviews that are list as not recommend are not included in the Bricks review. There 27 reviews consist of 1 and 2 star; ratings that seem to be more in line with my experience there. Sunday dinner. Place was half filled. Took 45 minutes for two sandwiches and chicken nuggets for the kids. We were with another couple and I didn't want to complain about my meal. We all walked outside and then I discover that everyone was disappointed in their meal. The number one complaint, bland, lack of flavor. And why do they bring fries to the kids before their meal? The kids filled up on French fries and didn't want to eat their meal. For a place to hang out and have a drink, this place may be ok. But I rated it a 1 star, which indicates that Bricks is on my "do not go list". Total disappointment. read more

Bricks returns in a new location! Cool atmosphere. Love the big bar. The Brickle is much improved if you are not a fan of huge and greasy. We liked it. I had a soup and sandwich and that was great. Beware the jalapeños on the Asian burger. The eight year old loved her burger. Score! Why two stars?? We spent over an hour and half there. I get that they have a new staff in a new location but they've got to pick it up. Multiple reminders. Check sitting on table with credit card displayed for 30 minutes. They must do better. My friend and I were here last week. The food was lukewarm when it arrived to our table which was disappointing. After we decided we didn't want dessert, the server disappeared. We wanted to order more drinks but the server immediately brought us the check and didn't see her again after that. We felt rushed the entire meal. Second, I've heard that the owner mistreats his staff. I think it is inappropriate for the owner to be drinking at the bar and swearing at the employees. I've heard more than one story about this and will not be supporting this establishment any longer. read more

My husband and I ordered for delivery. The corn dip appetizer was delicious, the wings were good according to my husband and his tacos "slapped". However, the ranch chicken sandwich that I asked for showed up with lettuce that really should have been thrown out. It was like limp sludge very discolored and honestly the drive over wouldn't have wilted it to that extent. I can certainly understand how delivery is not the most authentic representation of a restaurant, but at the same time, I have ordered similar sandwiches that have shown up looking sooooo much better from other restaurants. The chicken was bone dry and if it was seasoned at all I would be surprised. We also ordered the s'more souffle and it was definitely underbaked. Okay... First and foremost let me start by saying that I am a customer, not an employee or a friend of this pub. My family and I recently moved to Blaine and my parents were over visiting. My mom suggested that we try Bricks. It was a Friday night and we called ahead to see if there was seating available. We got there around 6pm. When we sat we were informed that Trent would be our server and he was swamped with tables. (the places was a bit busy) We ordered 3 apps and they were very good. My boys got burgers and fries. They absolutely loved them! I got the Manhattan steak with truffle mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. Steak was cooked perfect and the sides were phenomenal! My husband ordered the Lobster Linguine. To say the least, he had no left overs. Over all everything was wonderful. The service was slow but understandable. The second time we went it was my husband, my self and a couple we do date nights with. When we got there we informed the manager that we had Trent the first time and we would like him again. This time we were excited!! Our friends love good food as much as we do. To start we ordered the nachos. They were delicious! We also ordered the shrimp and grits. Now, I was a little worries about ordering grits from a restaurant. Oh did they shock me!! They were cooked perfect and they had a good quality of cheddar cheese in them. The shrimp were clean and cooked perfectly. I ordered the bacon cheese burger (like my kids the first time). They definitely correct with their review! My husband got the Shrimp mango flatbread. Love the brunch at Bricks! Brought a group of family that was in town visiting us for breakfast on Sunday. They all loved it!

Reluctant four star. The food is good tasting but the service has been spotty. We have gone twice recently. Pork tenderloin in pear sauce was very tasty. I can recommend. Shawn was new but nice , service was slow but we were told before hand that he was taking on a larger number of tables if we sat in his area. His friendly manor made up for some of the delays. Chocolate hazelnut pot du creme was good. The room away from the bar had a lot of noise but not hard to talk. Second visit Korean bbq port sandwich with fruit side was vey good. Small pour on wine - noticed this on first visit also. Slow service. After an hour, a server in training came and apologies and vague excuse about a new computer system lost the order She came again a little later and finally asked if we wanted a refill of drinks Waitress came with food and offered to comp the desert or a wine. We took the cheesecake to go. The comp felt small considering the long delays. Also the waitress made it sound like it was coming out of her pocket and not the restaurant. This made us feel in a bad spot to take the comp. Sitting at high table closer to the bar and the music and noise seem louder and harder to talk. Our first time at Bricks was not very positive - the service was slow and the food not memorable. We were, however, very tired, so allowed some of our disatisfaction may have been our problem. We decided to go back again to give it another chance. After an initial delay in getting our drink order in, the service was good. We had a very good shrimp and grits (believe it or not) appetizer. For entre we had a pasta and sausage dish and a red snapper dish. Both were ok. The snapper was beautifully presented and the flavor of the ratatouille was good. The fish was dry however and the dish became very soggy near the end. The pasta dish was fine, not great. Finally, the Old Fashioned cocktail I ordered was had too much citrus flavor to my taste. It's a nice environment. If we go back we will probably limit our order to one of the sandwich items. read more

This is my second visit since they opened up and they still seem to have issues with getting tables cleaned up and the service seems a bit slow. The one bonus is the food is pretty good and decor is nice.The roast sirloin sandwich is real good. They also have a pretty decent late night happy hour. read more

My wife decided to try Bricks out for Easter brunch. Big let down. The new building and our waitress was nice. The brunch reminded me of a low end hospital cafeteria food. Everything brought out was cool to cold. I would have to say the shrimp cocktail was average. The shrimp cocktail sauce was hienz 57! Not very good. The brunch eggs were scrambled. And no other egg selection. I figured eggs Benedict would have been on there brunch. I expected much more! We also experienced about 20% of our glasses, dishes and silverware dirty with dried food on them. Hopefully they will read these reviews and fix there issues. I think Bricks could be really good! But until I start seeing some good reviews. We'll not be visiting them again! read more

WILL NEVER GO BACK I was really hoping that Bricks would have filled a void that is missing in Blaine, good flavorful food with a nice atmosphere. There new building had me really excited to try their food, but it fell flat as soon as I put their food to my lips. I had a lobster linguini. No one in the building could tell me what kind of lobster was in it. They said, well it's just shredded lobster. When I got it all the pasta was clumped together in one lump. I had to tear chunks off to get it in my mouth. It was way under sauced. Honestly, it's the worse dish I've had in a long time. I was also there with a party of 8 and 7 were highly disappointed, the one positive was "the burger was good". My opinion, avoid this place. I will from here on out and be hoping they go out of business quickly so someone else can move in to fill the needed void with in the area. read more

Honestly I wish I could give this place Zero stars. I don't know where I should start. Lately their servers have the worst attitudes I've ever seen, their bartenders drink on the job (Literally!) and the manager seems like he has a very misogynistic attitude. I have been here multiple times before, and at first I loved going here, the servers were friendly, they had a female manager who was very nice and always made the place seem like a friendly and welcoming environment, and it seemed like the place was in order. Now it's just terrible. The past couple of times I've been here I've seen the manager yelling at the female servers (very unprofessional I might add), which makes me very uncomfortable. I had the grilled cheese that had sweet thai chili sauce. Wow what a flavor. I loved this. I have traveled a lot and love to eat, this was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I also had the fries with truffle oil, yum yum yum. If I lived near here, I would frequent this place. Add that with the microbrews on tap, my kind of place. Went online made reservation and returned only to have hostess say we couldn't be seated. Asked to speak to manager and he or she never showed instead offered us seating at the bar stating that there was no tables available. After walking past multiple empty tables and agreeing to sit at the bar the bartender came and tossed us our menus. She ingeniously asked how we were doing and I replied good and proceeded to ask her how she was doing after rolling her eyes she told us the kitchen wouldn't be serving us she asked us if the hostess had made us aware of that. As a regular visitor, I decided to go tonight for a few drinks with a friends. Ordered a drink...great. Time to order another one. 15 minutes later....still no drink. As the bar tender, tells me they are slammed busy. Ok. Another 15 minutes later still no drink and have asked to talk to the manager. No manager shows up, no drink and a lot of excuses. However I see that people coming in after me are being served. And I'm seeing others who can't even get a water Finally speak to the manager who is like 12 and he makes excuses. Really fun place with a great atmosphere and unordinary food. Their outdoor patio and fireplace are great. The bar is our favorite place to sit. Perfect for stopping in to have a few drinks and some apps. The only downside is we wish they were open later. read more

So the new location is gorgeous just wish the food was as good. I've been to the new location twice now. The first time with my husband he had a burger and I had a steak sandwich both were very bland and lacked seasoning. The portions were also very small my husband actually picked up food from BW's afterwards because he was still hungry. Also they serve the fries with this awful watered down marinara sauce. (I did learn my second time you can ask for regular ketchup thank goodness.) My second time I went with my co workers the old Bricks was one of our favorite after work spots so we were excited about the new one opening. Afterwards we all came to the conclusion that we were not impressed. So the prices have jumped up a lot and the food quality has declined at least in the appetizers. We all agreed we preferred the old brickle and the truffle fries which were our absolute favorite taste nothing like they used to and they come with that awful sauce. Plus the yummy pizzas are gone. Needless to say we are all very sad. The only thing that might get us to come back is the gorgeous patio and the Sebastian Joes ice cream. Also service was ok. I understand wanting to upscale it a little but if you're going to do so and raise the prices like that your food better be on POINT! read more

It was not very good. Got two starters corn dip and corn bread. Both just eh definitely not worth $10 per starter $6 tops. Got 2 entrées crab Mac and cheese and chicken carbonara. There is no chunks of crab in the Mac and cheese just pureed and mixed with the cheese sauce. The chicken carbonara was the only semi good thing but still for the price I'd rather go yo olive garden. I figured a $15 burger wouldn't come with a 5oz, pre-frozen patty a la Hardee's. We came here for a quick anniversary dinner close to home and came away wishing we'd just gone to Culver's for a vastly superior burger at a third of the cost. I'll admit I'm kind of a burger snob, but I don't think it's a stretch to expect an expensive burger's dominant ingredient be the beef, not the thick pretzel bun or the pile of hollow onion straws. read more

First time here. A few people were seated outside and a few inside. Even so, service was very slow and the TNT movie with people eating rats on the screen on the wall in front of me was rather nauseating before lunch. Not sure what kind of spices were in my beer cheese soup or tuna sandwich, but I didn't like either. Plus, it was more like beer cheese/vegetable soup. I was a little surprised that the server asked how everything was when clearing my still full cup of soup. Wasn't it obvious? She did offer another soup choice, but we were long done eating. If she would have stopped earlier to ask how everything was (you know, like servers normally do) or if I could have gotten someone's attention earlier, I would have asked for a replacement soup. Offering to take the soup off the bill would have been a nice gesture, but that apparently wasn't an option. We won't ever go back. read more
