The wife and I were out shopping in Freeport and decided we would stop by this pizza joint as we were both craving the Italian delectable dish. We walked into a very clean wide, open restaurant with super friendly staff, and even a play area for children to color and coloring books as well. My wife got the cheese pizza and I got the pepperoni pizza and it didn't take long to make it but it was delicious. If you like thin crust style pizza then this is the place for you. They also had many other options on the menu, but we really enjoyed What we had. The bathrooms were super clean, and there was even an outside seating area when the weather is nicer for you to be able to eat or drink some of the beverages that they offer here, including the brickyard beer. We will definitely be back here in the near future as we truly enjoyed it.

They have their own beer on tap and even had a sour, which was pretty good. The pizza options they have are very creative. I got a pizza with goat cheese, peaches, and balsamic and it was delicious! Our service was fine. You order your food and drinks at the counter. The ambiance is similar to a pizza shop.

This was our first time at this brewery that also serves food. You can order food at the counter. We got the char and cups (pepperoni) pizza and two beers. Food and drinks were good!

I need to adjust my expectations as this is really not a "restaurant" like the other locations. This is a "quick" service, cafe type of environment. There was plenty of space for our extended family gathering of 4 adults and 2 kids. It's definitely kid friendly...because there were A LOT of kids in the restaurant and there there were plenty of high chairs. The food was good, however, expect to wait as you would normally would for food in a restaurant.. It was hot and fresh and brought to our table. If I'm in the area and parked near the location, i would probably go here again, no fuss of a "regular" sit down restaurant and hot fresh food options.

Visited with a big group for an employee Christmas lunch back in December. We were told they don't take reservations but to come early and grab a table because it gets busy. I hadn't eaten anything that day in hopes to get a juicy burger like other Brickyard locations have and was saddened when I saw the menu. Before I go there though, the environment is what I can only describe as cold. The floors and walls are concrete (I think), the tables and chairs are super super basic folding tables and stacking chairs, i.e, not comfortable. I felt like a child sitting low at the table. Now back to the menu, the pizza options are decent but pricey, the bowls sound good but not for a group sharing. I had a prosecco to drink because BH beer is not especially good, and I'm a beer snob. We ordered something like 4 large pizzas, 2 small pizzas, nachos and fried brussel sprouts. The pizza was the best of what we ordered, the nachos were lame (little topping and not many of them), and the fried brussels gave me heartburn (and I don't get heartburn frequently). I will say the brussels came with a sweet chili sauce which made them much better. There were definitely more customers than I expected as the lunch hour rolled around. It was clear a lot of Freeport shoppers warm up in BH and get a slice and a beer which is awesome. I, however, don't have a reason to return.

Cute little place. Ambience isn't bad. Buuuttt... order at the counter or scan a QR code at your table and order on your phone. Is this a restaurant? Or take out? Do I tip for table service or counter? They DO bring it to your table- but no one is getting refills or asking how your food is... confusing. Also- paper plates but metal silverware. Again- threading the needle but not drawing a line. Got the "mushroom, roasted garlic and gorgonzola cheese pizza". Good- but not great. Big, full cloves of garlic and fresh mushrooms, but zero gorgonzola. Also ordered fried brussel sprouts. They were overcooked to the point of falling apart like paper. The dipping sauce was delicious though. Also ordered the Trestle IPA- their flagship beer. That was pretty tasty- I would definitely order another of those. All in all- three stars. The best part was the beer. As for the restaurant? They need to decide if they're a DQ or a Chilis! Oh- the price for a pizza, appetizer, one beer and one soda? $56. Kinda high for a DQ. But Chilis has real plates and waitresses.

This place is just terrible. The other locations are pretty good, but this place has gotten worse and worse. We have been here multiple times now, and every single time we go the quality of the food has gone for eh to downright terrible. Not only is the service just not good, they just have a "I could care less" attitude, they expect you to know exactly what you want and what's on it, cause if you ask questions you're wasting their time. I have typically gotten the pepperoni pizza. Now if you look at the photos they use for their pepperoni pizza, it's loaded with pepperoni. You get 2 1/2- 3 slices of small pepperoni on each slice of pizza. That's it. The first time I thought maybe just a mistake, but twice? They clearly are skimping out and using false advertisement. This last time was the final straw for us. I'll start with the photos I didn't take. The salad had barely any chicken (that was chopped up to the size of tiny pellets) and was dried like the Sahara dessert, and the lettuce they threw in the chopped off ends. Dirty and giant pieces not even cut up. The pretzels were cold and the cheese that came with it was split, meaning it sat all day in a luck warm container. I have attached photos of the pizzas we ordered and compared them to what they are supposed to be. The Mac and cheese pizza was missing the jalepanos, was not on cornbread crust, and burnt to a crisp so bad, that the pulled pork was extremely dry. And the potato pizza contained no bacon, no shallot sour cream drizzle, and once again, burnt and dry as hell. This place is an absolute joke. There are so many other pizza places in the town alone, not including the next few towns over. The other brickyards are perfectly fine. If you're THAT desperate for Brickyard, go to Brunswick, Yarmouth, even Portland. They are far superior. How this place gets such good reviews and constant customers is beyond me. If this was a one time incident, sure, it happens. But this has been consistent for years now. Slowly, but surely getting worse and worse. Whoever owns this company REALLY needs to see what is going on in Freeport with their quality control. This place is massively overpriced, false advertising, poor quality control, and just really not worth your time or money. Avoid at all cost.

Stopped in for a cold after LL Bean. Laid back atmosphere. Our beers were delicious - Porter and Watermelon Sour. Had a choice of 5 other selections. Pizza on others table looked pretty good, we did not eat though.

Several more visits since my last review…read more Some things haven't changed: -- The beers are still great. Swish, Here's to Feeling Good All the Time, Nothing Gold, and Reciprocal are a formidable foursome. At any given time, you can usually get at least two, more often three, sometimes all four. -- You'd be hard pressed (pun intended) to find a better smashburger in Portland, but I'd also put it up against any regularly-offered burger I've had in Portland--smashed or otherwise. I love everything about it, from the high caliber of the beef to the fresh pillowy milk bun to the exhilaratingly strong cure of the bacon to the razor-thin cutting of the vegetables to the execution that gets even a smashburger burger juicy. -- I'm still not crazy about the wings. They have a frozen dinner feel to them. A few things, though, have changed: -- Full service now instead of having to order everything at the bar. That's a plus. -- The place is much more crowded-- including screaming tykes-- on the weekends. Not a plus, but can't fault a place for its own popularity. -- The fries are now the industrial strength coated kind. A big minus and a sad drop off from prior greatness, but better that than from an item off the main cast. -- You can now order beer cans to go from the table rather than having to get in line. A nice convenience. A few things to know: -- It's a surprisingly good option for vegetarians and pescatarians. The veggie burger and the grilled fish sandwich are both much more than solid. -- There's outdoor seating in front of the building and also to the right. -- The bar room to the right of the entrance is adults only, so if those screaming tykes get on your nerves, this is the place to be. -- You can still order beer at the bar if that's your preference over table service. Still a favorite, and the combo of beer, food, and space is tough to beat (Mast Landing and Maine Beer in Freeport are also somewhere in that echelon).

As an IPA fan I enjoyed this new version very much for its hop saturated citrusy forward taste that drank quite smooth for the 9.5%. At this point now Bissell is broken into two separate parts. The first will be the space welcoming to families and is more of their restaurant style area. Appeared to be a popular area and does offer reservations. My preferred area is the Bissell Garden as they call it. Those entering need to be of drinking age and have more lounge vibes where you order at the bar. It still offers full kitchen menu so is perfect. Particularly my favorite is snagging bar stools to grab some beers and food. I had to try out the Super Swish while my wife grabbed their red ale named Turnpike. Then food wise we split their kitchen special Classic Poutine. Some of the best classic kept simple poutine I have had. The perfect comfort food for yet another cold weather day in Maine. Have been impressed by all the food from Bissell. Truly the only negative still stands being the fact it's on Thompson's Point and required paid parking (not Bissell Brothers call but still). One of the most popular Maine breweries for a reason especially in the IPA game. Give all their other style of beers a try too though, top notch brewery!

Had no idea all three were located here, pleasant surprise. I enjoy Allagash white so we decided to stop in. The campus is a good size with gigantic tanks no doubt filled with liquid gold! In the courtyard you choose which way to go; right heads into the outside beer garden and left brings you inside the brewery and gift shop. Beer garden for us. Seeing that it was covered by a tent thought for sure it was going to be cold inside , we were pleasantly surprised! Decor was paper chains and tissue paper hearts for Valentine's season. They had a creative station for folks to make their own Valentines. Also in the same area was a game bookshelf filled with board and card games to play. At the bar was a young man smiling as he welcomed us. We read the menu and for something different I chose "Cabin Weekend" the name reminded me of our camp in the Western mountains. We both enjoy whiskey so thought the aged barrels used for this brew would make a tasty treat. Grabbed our beers and then over to the food truck attached to the tent, clever. Bite into Maine is the food truck here today, unsure if different trucks come here or not. We wanted something small and shareable. Mac and cheese it was.
