Don't be fooled by the small house exterior - lots of dresses are waiting inside! The setup of the inside isn't quite as spacious or comfortable as some of the other places in Sac or Folsom, but you can tell they've tried their best in the space they have available. I went for a 3:30 appointment and called ahead to see if I could come early - Kim sounded hesitant but said I could come in at 3. We had booked the VIP fitting which I recommend only so that you have a more private area for showing your group your dresses, as the other try on area is out in the open. I'm not inclined to put on a show for strangers so I was glad I had picked the VIP area. The champagne was just in plastic cups and the rest of the experience wasn't more "VIP" than what I'd normally expect from a standard bridal appointment. As a short plus-size bride I was of course nervous about dresses and trying things on, and this was my third appointment of the day so I was feeling pretty low-ebb by the time I got here. Kim had great energy and found several dresses that fit well and looked good on me! I didn't feel uncomfortable or pressured at all. I didn't end up leaving with a dress (from any of my appointments that day) but I still found one here that I really liked and may return to depending on how some more appointments at other places go. Overall I'd recommend this shop if you don't mind a more casual experience and have a smaller party to shop with! I only worked with Kim so I can only speak to my experience with her - she was fun and uplifting, helpful and patient with me. This place is definitely worth checking out if you're looking to get off the beaten path and away from some of the bigger stores. read more

I had my first appointment with Christine; I just wanted to go in with my MOH to get the jitters out before I had my entire bridal party with me. However, Christine was understanding, and still knowing I wasn't going to purchase a dress that day, she took her time to help me decide on styles and fabrics. I worked with Suzanne for my second appointment, and she immediately felt like a friend. She had already pulled the dresses I had liked from my first appointment along with another dress they got in stock just for me that I had my heart set on trying on. She helped my party pick out a few more dresses to try on and offered complimentary champagne to myself and my party. Once we got to trying on dresses, she made me feel comfortable and helped zip, button, and clip me into dresses without making me feel awkward about it. We joked around and just had fun with it. When it came time to try on THE dress they brought into the salon just for me to try on, we found out the size they got the sample in wouldn't fit. We were BOTH devastated. She was just as excited for me to try this dress on as I was and equally saddened when I couldn't get it over my hips. But she helped me rally, and she found a different dress that was even more amazing than the dress I had my hopes set on. I found my dream dress, the sample dress; they just got in and fit like a glove. They offered me the opportunity to purchase the brand new sample dress at a discounted price, and I couldn't be happier with my dream dress or the fantastic support Suzanne gave me. I had the BEST experience at the Bridal Box and can't recommend them enough. I came from Martinez and am so glad I made the drive up here to get my dress! For starters, they're one of the only stockists of Chic Nostalgia dresses that I could find, and I had a specific dress I wanted to try. A week or so before my appointment, they sold their sample of that dress, but I still went to my appointment and had an amazing time. Kim was SO helpful and friendly. She gave my mom & MOH champagne and let me take my time looking through samples. I was the only bride there the entire time, so it was also nice to have such a personalized experience. Kim pulled a few dresses she thought I would like and she had such a good sense of my style! She never pushed me to try something I didn't like, or something that was over budget. I didn't find my dress on the first try though, and I ended up trying the dress I originally wanted at a boutique out of state. I decided that was my dress, but I came back to the Bridal Box to order the dress because of what a great experience I had. The owner & staff were so glad I came back that they gave me a bit of a discount on the dress, which I am SO grateful for. It was very generous of them. My pickup appointment went smoothly and my dress came way earlier than expected-- about 3.5 months! To say I am mortified is a complete understatement to the treatment I am receiving from this bridal shop. In contrary to the untruthful response by the owner of this shop to my uncles previous review the lack of honesty is quite concerning. For starters I tragically lost my finance a couple months ago. Prior to this tragedy I had purchased a dress from the bridal box, unaltered I received the dress. Before my wedding I had lost over 50 pounds so I went back to the shop and repurchased a different dress. The only "favor" they did for me was to discount the second dress 200 dollars and wave shipping fee as long as I gave them my original dress so that they would be able to re sell. I agreed to that because I had no use for that dress. I did not hold the dress "Ransom" I was told directly from owner to simply bring in the other dress when the second one arrived which was obviously about 5 months shipping. Do not get it twisted, I paid for two dresses in full and you were making a profit off of me by selling one of them. My mother had called after my tragedy and simple asked if there was anything they could do since these dresses where unaltered. Tell me why of all things would I want to go pick up my own dress after this. I highly advise any bride considering this shop to stay far away from a business who only cares about a profit. read more

I made appointments at a couple of different dress shops prior to my appointment at the bridal box. I found my dress the day before (20 hours) before my appointment. I called the bridal box as I was driving out of the parking lot of the shop I found my dream dress , out of respect for their time, to try and cancel my appointment. I was hoping since I was so close to their 24 hour deadline they would not charge me the $100 fee. Management told me that if I did not show up for the appointment I would still be charged the $100 fee. I informed them that I guess I would see them there at the appointment time. Management was rude when we got there. Even as I was looking at veils which was something I still needed to purchase. The woman helping us try on dresses empathized with us and was very kind. I tried on a few dresses but really didn't want to waste anyone's time. RESPONSE No one called anyone a name that's ridiculous and just a lie. You made us feel very uncomfortable and you were bitter because we found her dress somewhere else and were completely disrespectful to the bride process... ..tell us why you are so upset? Your behavior is and was disrespectful to the bride and will now be a little blip in the wedding process...oh well I'm betting there will be a couple more..lol I wish all you brides looking for their dress the best! Amazing customer service, they made sure the day was about me and that I felt beautiful when trying on all the dresses. They are a family owned business, and they were able to pay attention to every detail, give me their undivided attention and helped me walk out with my dream dress. OHHHH MY GOSH! I cannot recommend this bridal shop more. 5 stars simply is not enough. Here's my story... I bought my DREAM dress from The Bridal Box last April. I came in ten months later, to pick my veil out. I put my dress on so I could match it and unbeknownst to me, it was one entire size (and then some) too small........ I had an absolute mental breakdown. As any bride would! I gained an entire size worth of weight in the 10 months my dress was sitting in the closet. Our dress assistant seriously saved one of the best days of my life possibly becoming one of the worst... Ok thats dramatic. BUT! She saved me from 4 months of awful, annoying stress of fitting into my wedding dress. She came around the corner with a my same dress in a size up and told me she would switch it out no problem. As you know, they only have ONE size of each dress in store. So for it to be the exact size I need was an absolute miracle. I was so ecstatic and happy I could've cried. I said YES TO THE DRESS after only 30 minutes of trying on dresses. I was able to order my dress today and it's coming in in three weeks! I came in to check out their selection for my upcoming wedding and everyone there was immensely kind and helpful. The ladies helping me made sure to be present and available without being too in my space about it which was incredibly comforting. When I said there was a dress I wouldn't try on becuse it flat out was not my size range, she encouraged me to give it a shot because sized in wedding dresses tend to be so different from our standard dress and she also made a point that she wouldn't want me to not try a dress just because of the size if it was a style I liked. The other thing I loved is that there was a gown I loved but was in a much smaller size for me but she advised that there was a "sister gown" closer to my size which was just like the original one I picked. I appreciated how knowledgeable they were about their inventory and I loved that they suggested others in line with the style I had selected. I tried on dresses in June, and that day was a good experience. They allowed me to have 9 people (I paid to rent out the store for an hour and a half). We brought snacks and mimosas. Christine helped me, and while she did make me feel a bit pressured into buying the dress, I really do love the dress. It is much more expensive than I ever thought I would pay for a dress ($1,700). She told me It just came in the store and I was the first bride to try it on, and that they could hold onto the dress until I paid it off with no interest. She made it very easy to say yes. My wedding is in May 2021, so I wasn't in a rush to pick up the dress, but I got a phone call from the bridal box 2 days ago telling me they usually only hold dressed for 30 days and they want me to finish paying off the dress to make more room for them. (definitely did not mention that before - now making me feel pressured to pay faster) So, yesterday I pulled out the rest of the money and went to the store to pay it off and bring it home. When I got there a woman with red hair helped me. She said she is the only employee working there right now and that "even the owner had to step away because she was having some serious issues" (Whatever that means). When she pulled my dress out of the back room, I immediately noticed the built in bra area was falling apart in multiple areas. The threading was unraveling, and and the bra part was sagging down and not connected to the front anymore. It was absolutely not in that condition what I originally bought the dress. I tried it on twice, and have multiple witnesses. Its very noticeable. I told the woman helping me and she said no-one should have tried it on after me because once I put a deposit on it because its considered my property. So I asked her then how this could have gotten like this since I was the only one try try it on. She tells me that the dress was there weeks before me and I was not the first, or only one to try it on. So Christine lied to me to make it feel special so she could get a sale, and now this lady ruined that special part for me. She did not feel sympathetic of my situation, did not offer me an apology or anything to try to make this situation better. All she said was that this was a sample dress and "She is sure Christine must have told me the dress is sold as is". (They did not mention that, and I do not have any paperwork explaining that. A $1,700 sample dress?!) **To the owner: Please talk to your employees and remind them that wedding dress shopping is a really special thing for a bride. I realize that this is a business, and those women are in sales, but I cried my eyes out when I found out I was lied to just so you guys could make a sale, and now my dress needs to be fixed, and I was offered no sympathy, apology, or even recommendations. That felt like a really scummy thing to do. What you are doing for brides is important. Don't make another bride feel like that. I will not be recommending this dress boutique any longer. I picked out a few dresses to try on and she was very helpful in letting me know if the dress was within my budget. She helped zipped, buttoned and clipped me as I was trying on the different style dresses. She listened to my likes and dislikes on the dresses I tried on. UPDATE: as my wedding is finally approaching and I took my dress to my alterationist, I feel a strong need to update this review. I still love my dress but uncovered major issues with the dress once alterations began. **NOTE** this dress was sold to me at a slight discount due to the fact it was someone else's prior and they had begun alterations before changing their mind. The store owner allowed them to return it (or exchange, I don't know the details.) Nonetheless, the store took it back (though I was told when I recently called there's a "no return policy") Maybe I'm to blame for not checking every layer and square inch of the dress for imperfections but The Bridal Box should have never sold me the dress in the condition in which they did. Once you start to peel back the layers (literally) of my dress, who ever did the alterations prior to my purchase should have never been allowed to touch a wedding dress (SEE PHOTOS). -The lining is separated from itself due to being taken apart and not put back together correctly. -instead of hemming way individual layer of tulle at the bottom as you should they disconnected it at the waist then hacked a few inches off and reattached in some crazy manner... - THE BEST OF ALL to shorten the fabric under layer of the dress the just took the fabric, pinned it and SEWED IT UP IN A BIG PUFF BALL AROUND THE HIPS!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Additionally per the owners recommendation I ordered a custom cathedral length veil. Come to find out, she ordered me a chapel length. I called to inquire about my veil and asked her to pull the tag to look at the order. She said she would have to pull it from the back and would call me the next day or early the next week. 5 weeks later, no call. Thank the Lord I have a friend lending me their cathedral length veil and I found the best alterationist who happens to also be a wedding dress designer. She is literally rebuilding my dress but at no small cost. Alterations are already far more than I paid for my dress and I've only had the initial consultation. I would say this situation is not typical BUT the fact my calls have not been returned after 5 weeks is unacceptable. Where do I start... I made and paid for the VIP appointment at Bridal box because I didn't want the usual big box store experience. Before my appointment I had emailed the store telling them I was nervous to try on dresses, this is because I gain weight. Going from a size 6/8 to 14/16. I scheduled the appointment for 10am when the store opened. When we walked in the store at 10:02am (because no lights we on) our VIP room was not ready. We waited for Christie to get there when she finally did she gave us a 2 minute run down of what to expect. Then took off to a back room, to get our champagne for the VIP appointment. Which should have been ready or done by the other two girls sitting on computers. No other customers were in the store. The first dress I tried I, I looked in the mirror and cried... I felt so big and fat, Christie suggested to me to get liposuction from the doctor she seen. We asked for other dresses to try on in the style I like, they didn't have any that could fit me she said. We were told they all were just sold. We also scheduled this appointment for there huge Labor Day sale which was not happening. I left sad and confused after feeling rushed out because they had nothing else for me to try on, I guess I'm to fat for a wedding dress from bridal box. I was told they would order some dresses in in the style and size I needed and she would email me. I left sad and not wanting to trying on a wedding dress ever again. I finally found a dress for my bridesmaids!! woot woot! Thank God my MOH (Tram T.) and another bridesmaid (Amy B.) were so adamant about finding an affordable well made dress!! They definitely helped the process move forward. They even made the appointment and cleared a Saturday just to get the whole thing over with. I just tagged along :) Not gonna lie, I have the BEST group of females by my side! Pretty sure the rest of the group will be happy with the decision (at least I hope so!). My only requirements were that the dress have a sweet heart neckline, chiffon fabric, long dress, in the color Horizon (or any bright blue), preferably in the Bill Levkoff collection. Apparently, that was hard to find. Most bridal shops only carried 2 Bill Levkoff designs in chiffon and not many options with long dresses. I ALMOST settled on a dress at House of Fashion, but I couldn't pull the trigger because 1. For such a simple design, I didn't think it was worth the price 2. I wasn't in love with it. I know it's hard to make all your girls happy, but I wanted to try my darnedest to make sure they felt comfortable with price and dress choice. This place had a really good collection of dresses for bridesmaids. At first I was a little hesitant as I walked up to what looked like someones house. I was pleasantly surprised with the collection they did have and the little chic boutique. Customer service was great. Since we were the only customers in at that time, we had all hands on deck. They pulled dresses with my specifications and my gfs took turns trying them on. It took a couple of dresses, but I can finally say I'm happy with the choice I made. I thought I'd never find a dress! Also, this place has other things at reasonable prices. For example, bridal belts/sash. The one that I wanted at La Soie was going for over $500, but this place carries them for less than $150!!! They are definitely the most affordable boutique I've been to thus far! Go Here! It was so much of a fun experience. Christine was such a mood, and matched my chaotic energy. I'm the type of person that needs hype to be excited and take chances, Christine boosted my confidence and listened to what I was looking for. For how it went, walked in and checked in at the front, when my mother and I were greeted by Christine the owner, we were given a room that had cute cards for rating dresses. From what I can tell there were other rooms, and one in the open (the bride in the open had said yes to her dress and everyone clapped for her when a bell rang out. It was so warm and inviting, she looked happy) We were given full reign to pick out what dresses around 3 dresses to start out with, the dress I was hoping for got snatched up before I got there but, she found ways to accommodate what I wanted.
