Simple laundry mat. Not the newest dryers, but the washers are not outdated either. Minimum 225 to wash in a single top load washer.

She has done all sorts of alterations for me. Their prices are very competitive. Lastly, they are friendly and very customer service oriented.

CRAZY EXPENSIVE ALTERATION. Not done well either. I had a…read morepolyester unlined dress hemmed. It's a full circle style skirt, but pretty straight forward (I sew so I do know about the work required). I asked the price as she was writing it up, and was kind of shocked that it was so cheap, but I had read on my neighborhood page that she was very affordable so I didn't question the $9 she quoted? I was expecting $30 or so. She did not write the price on my ticket. I came to pick it up and was shocked to be asked for $95 for the hem. She claims that's what she told me. She has an accent, but I definitely did not hear $95. If that's what she had said I would have passed and done it myself even though I didn't have time which is why I decided to drop it off. The dress itself was only $30. I was so taken aback and frankly didn't have that much on me so I said I would have to come back. She kept telling me how much work it was because the skirt was fuller, but come on. I picked up the next day and she gave me a $3 discount (ridiculous). The hem is not done well. It's pulling as the stitches are too tight and it's a little uneven. The front is slightly longer than the back. Do NOT patronize this place for alterations.

They previously ruined a suit too --it looks like hot pressed the lapel when it was wet. I use this place for basic mens button down shirts and pants, as it's a convenient location. I don't trust them with more. The buttons often get cracked as they don't provide much care to the pressing. But it's hard to find a dry cleaner who doesn't do that in Chicago. Most places (like this) send the stuff off-site and don't control this. I also go elsewhere for tailoring.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Peter and his family are lovely people and I do really enjoy talking with them,…read morebut I will never go back here. To begin, the first time I went I had lost the ticket they gave me which someone else picked up, and ended up stealing my clothes. They came in and paid for my dry cleaning and I lost $2,000 worth of clothes. After offering very little to make it up to me, Peter (store owner) offered to dry clean my sweater for free, and when I went to go pick it up, he informed me he lost my cashmere sweater. In all fairness, the first incident was more of a fluke, but the lack of willingness to make it right, along with losing the one thing I had asked for as a consolation results in me never going back.
