Sunny side pizza was delicious. Perfect egg and meat mix. Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and moderately spicy. My cocktails were unique and tasty as well. The avocado carrot cake was beautiful but not the best I've ever had. It was moist enough and had good flavor but not sure what avocado contributed as it didn't taste of avocado or have any sort of extra smooth creamy anything other than a drizzle that was green.

Chic space with dimly lit tables and a lively atmosphere, "Brightside" caught our attention as a date night destination. And while the cocktails were creative and the vibes were immaculate, the food left something to be desired. Honestly, it just wasn't that good. The best part was the fries and assortment of mayos. The bucatini with peaches and mushrooms sounded promising but was flavorless. We also got pork belly and risotto, and don't get me wrong the pork belly was delicious (perfectly charred) but the risotto it came on was undercooked and needed salt. Reading previous reviews maybe this was an off night, so I'd go back. But for us, the meal missed the mark. Seemed like the kind of place that values ambience over food, which is fine for some but we left disappointed . 3/5 stars

Our group of 9 had a very nice brunch at Bright Side. The restaurant is designed beautifully, very cool and colorful decor, lots of room. Our service and food were great. Everyone enjoyed their brunch food choice, and the drinks were delicious. I tried the Cro-waffle sandwich with frites, and the cinnamon roll, very good! The only thing I would changes is less salt on the frites but the fresh garlic was so good. My drink choice of the Queen Bee was a good one, not too sweet and delicious. Plenty of vegetarian or vegan options. Will be back to Bright Side again, overall great experience! They made us feel very welcome!

"It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen." What is Bright Side? Is it the sparkly vibey cocktail bar and restaurant it claims to be? Or a dark and loud sports bar with pulsing electronic music? Why not both? We made reservations for Saturday night and it was packed and crowded when we arrived. We were seated next to a column by the bar and it was very dark, could not read the menu, and extremely loud (conversations and music). We asked for the bone marrow croquettes but it was not available. Instead, we ordered the Tiger Prawns (calabrian chili & ramp salsa, preserved lemon broth, prawn chips). My companion said the prawns had a strong fishy flavor and I thought the texture was mushy. We also thought the prawn chips were an odd accompaniment. We told our server and she said she would tell the kitchen because it was a new dish and they wanted the feedback. I ordered the pancetta wrapped scallops (asparagus tartare, mirin & pea veloute, flying fish roe) which was overly salty. The asparagus was cooked perfectly and generally the dish was good, but a lighter hand with the salt was needed. I loved the fish roe, but because it was so dark, I didn't know it was part of my dish. My companion ordered Chicken Katsu (napa cabbage & broccoli slaw, szechuan cucumber salad, kimchi mayo, sesame, scallion) and after tasting their dish, I thought the roe was from theirs. The chicken was very crispy and its sides were flavorful. The crowd thinned out a little, the music toned down, and the atmosphere changed to more of a supper club. On our server's recommendation we tried the Carrot Avocado cake (fluffy carrot and avocado cake, vegan golden raisin buttercream, pistachios, vanilla-coconut turmeric glaze). This was pretty good -- not overly sweet and the plump raisins and crunch of pistachios were nice textures. The cake was soft and lightly spiced. So to look on the Bright Side: pretty setting, locally sourced ingredients, everything made from scratch, friendly staff. They also subtracted the prawn shrimp from the bill without us asking and thanked us for the feedback.

You call this a margherita pizza? Very disappointed was all bread no sauce and looked undercooked. Parsley instead of basil. But espresso martinis were good.

I'm glad I finally checked this spot out. The interior is very stylish and modern. I loved their curated cocktail menu with lots of fun choices. I went with the salmon bowl which was very good. The salmon was cooked perfectly. There is a private room towards the back that would be perfect for a small gathering

We came for brunch on a Saturday with a reservation but it didn't seem like we needed one. There were folks dining in but there were still tons of tables open. It's a beautifully designed space. Really nice lighting, chairs, and even the ceiling! To start, I got a Bellini while my friend got an espresso martini. Delicious! We also shared latkes as our appetizer. They were well seasoned too! And large! For entrees, my friend got the French toast with sausage while I got the lobster eggs Benedict. Her French toast was basically bratwurst style...not at all what we expected based on the menu description. It was good, but the menu was misleading. My Benedict was absolutely BLAND! Disappointing :( I did like the fries and the portions for what you got were actually generous. I was full for hours! The staff is really nice and I liked the vibe of the restaurant. It would be a great place to get cocktails before dinner. Parking around here is parallel and a bit tough to find on a weekend. But we managed to park a few blocks away.

Stopped in for a quick drink on a Friday. Heard great things about the cocktails... but this was by far the worst old fashioned I've ever had. I even asked them to make it a second time because I was sure they gave me the wrong drink. Overall the place is nicely decorated and clean, and the prices are just ok.

Atmosphere is a teen on a a nice day when the doors are wide open. Food menu is good but limited especially if you are a picky eater. The salmon flat bread pizza was delicious but not overwhelming. Drinks are unique and exciting however quite small... three sips and ready for another

Love the renovation of the old Bar Cento space... (I do feel nostalgic for Bar Cento!)... cocktails are top notch and the bartenders very knowledgeable and friendly. They're very into Mescal and they do a nice job with lot of different kinds. We haven't eaten here yet apart from the award-winning carbonara breakfast pizza (a holdover from Bar Cento for those who remember it)... atmosphere leans chic, fun place. We've been back a few times and will be going back in the future...

The vibe of this place was so cool with the disco ball and the chic interior but also very vintage like ceiling architecture. There's also a club downstairs that looked pretty cool! The songs were all throwbacks playing in the restaurant which was such a vibe! The food was absolutely amazing, ordered the cavatelli de mare and the seafood was out of this world. It took awhile for our server to give us our check when we were wanting to leave but all in all I'd come back.

Pommes Frites (French fries) with ketchup and aiolis: garlic, spicy chili and curry.
    Cindi R.

Very friendly greeting. Ken our server extended the same. Atmosphere is very positive and upbeat. Their menu clearly marks Gluten Free and Vegan options. The French fries (pommes frites) come with ketchup, garlic aioli, curry aioli, and spicy chili aioli. Forget the ketchup these aioli's are amazing. The fries are fried in duck fat so no where near as greasy and apparently duck fat is healthier. I opted for the cauliflower crusted spicy chicken pizza. This has jalapeño basil chicken and pork sausage, sun dried tomatoes, garlic cream, basil, and perfect final topping is the Calabrian chili honey. We truly enjoyed our meal and will come back again and again.

Was here for the Valentines day dinner. I guess we chose a bad day, cos we've been here before and I've loved their drinks and food but the Vday dinner was just about ok. The service that is usually good and quick was comparatively slower but I guess that's expected since they were booked all night. We started with cocktails - I ordered the Requiem for Spring and the husband ordered a Sangria. The drinks were amazing, yummy so much that I could have ordered more but ofcourse I didn't. For shareables we ordered fried calamari and fries, cos I've had them before and I love them. But tonight the frites were thicker, slightly soggy but the 3 types of aioli (garlic, chilli and curry) have my heart. For mains husband ordered the half chicken and I ordered a butter chicken pizza, the half chicken was absolutely delicious. The pizza was kinda cold and hard - again I don't blame them cos it was a busy busy night. If y'all think I'm giving a glorious 4 star for an okay-ish night, yes and that is because I've been here before I've had my ladies nights here and they're usually good. So any other normal night they've been good as gold but I guess this valentine's night was just one of those days. I'll still be back cos I love their ambience, friendly staff and oh the cocktails!!

Menu was kind of limited but I have a feeling they try new things all the time so it was exciting to pick from. Too bad they ran out of some things when we went. I ordered the fried chicken dish which was fried to perfection, well seasoned and paired interestingly with pickled veggies. The portion was tiny but on par with something I would expect in a place like this. I also ordered 2 oysters for $9 which were the tiniest oysters I've ever seen. Sure, they were good but I would not get them again. My girlfriend ordered a canned non-alcoholic drink for $6 (way too expensive for a soda!) and the brussell sprouts. They were good but there was only 4 of them! Our server gave off a "I'm too cool for this gig" and dismissed my order when I asked for the chicken. He recommended the lamb which uh, was almost 3x as expensive as the chicken and not something I wanted as a light late dinner after a show... My friend's SIL worked here so she was warm, welcoming and gave us a great seat. So yeah, it's not the best restaurant in Cleveland or anything but there is something to the hype and if I do get the chance, the brunch looks amazing!

The staff we met was pleasant and efficient. Our server, Mina, did an excellent job all night. If there was a weak point, it would be the food. It was not bad (I'm trying to be kind); it was just uninspired, limited, and not really well prepared. Because they do not offer bread for the table our only option was to order the "Soft Pretzel". It arrived badly overcooked, crunchy not soft, and even boardering on burnt. The charcuterie board was OK, but uninspired. I ordered the "Lemon Chicken" which was a full half chicken in a reasonably good sauce. But the meat was dry and it came only with brussel sprouts (yuk!). My wife had the "Walleye" which she simply said was "okay"... oh well. Our guests weren't any more impressed than we were. I will say our coffee and "Pot de Creme" were very good... thank goodness. We parked in the back which was convenient for going to the west side market after. The patio is bright and well decorated with flowers. (Pansies is perfect for this chilly weather and while too cool to eat outside, it was nice to walk through the patio). The inside is rustic, wooden tables, a western /organic decor. A friend recommended the bone broths. I ordered the chicken. Yum. Very warm and wholesome! I also ordered the power bowl with Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, chili nut oil and an egg on top. It was delicious. Filling, so I took some home. The service was excellent. The people were really friendly! Looking forward to coming back to try other amazing things on the menu!

We found TownHall, and it wasn't far from where we were. We got lucky and found a parking spot on the street right across from the restaurant. When we went inside, we noticed there are two different sections--one for dining and the bar area, and another that appeared to be more for takeout and quick service. We were seated fairly quickly and chose to eat inside since it was getting later in the evening. I had found TownHall on Yelp but honestly didn't spend much time looking at the menu. I trusted some of the highly rated reviews from Elite Yelpers and figured we'd give it a try. Our server was very friendly and asked if we had been there before. When we said no, she took the time to explain the menu and how the restaurant focuses on organic and healthier ingredients. My wife and I don't typically dine at organic-focused restaurants, so we didn't realize that was TownHall's concept. She did a great job explaining the menu and pointing out some of the more popular items. My wife ordered the grass-fed burger with Brussels sprouts, and I ordered the steak bites with white rice from the appetizer menu. While we were waiting for our food, we witnessed something that was a bit disturbing. A customer had a dog sitting on a bar stool next to him. An employee brought over a cup of whipped cream, and the customer fed it to the dog directly on top of the bar. The dog then proceeded to lick the bar top. A short time later, someone brought the customer a plate of food, and he appeared to encourage the dog to eat from the bar area as well. Personally, I didn't think that was very sanitary and felt it could be a health concern. Thankfully, the food completely changed the tone of our visit. When our meals arrived, we were genuinely surprised by how good everything was. The grass-fed burger was cooked well and had great flavor, and the steak bites were outstanding. The sauce paired perfectly with the rice, and it ended up being one of the best dishes I've had on our trip. Despite the issue we observed at the bar, the food and service were excellent. Based on the quality of the meal alone, we would definitely consider returning the next time we're in Cleveland but after seeing the dog lick all over the counter and not get cleaned probably not. Would have given a lower star but the food was good management must have thought the dog at the bar was fine?
