Wow what a great spot for an affordable, delicious brunch! On my drive home, I was going to pass this restaurant so I decided to call in a takeout order. The lady I spoke with on the phone was clear, nice, and efficient. It was loud in the restaurant around her so she double checked to make sure she had my order and the time I requested to pick it up correct. My order was ready upon arrival and was accurate. The restaurant was busy with customers waiting for tables and paying for their orders. Nonetheless, the two hostesses greeted me and told me my order was ready and with them at the hostess desk. There was a short line checking out and then I paid for the order and left (only took a couple minutes). We ordered the ole scrambled eggs (without avocado) with toast and grits, Waldorf salad, and the croissant French toast. All of it came to $29 - cheaper than other brunch restaurants. Plus the portion sizes are large. I saved half of my Waldorf salad for later. All of the items we ordered tasted great and were filling. The grits did have an excessive amount of butter, but it could be easily poured off. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would eat here again. My server was excellent prompt and made sure everything was great. The wait wasn't long, they told me 45 min and was seated in less than 30. Food was very good and filling. I would not mind trying again. The only reason I didn't give this place a five star is because the host at the door was actually pretty rude, I don't remember her name but I almost went somewhere else, but I glad I waited. Wow! After a 45-minute wait, we were finally seated just after 1:00 PM on a Sunday. It was worth the wait. Service (Sherry?) was great. I really felt for our server as the three occupants at a table near us opted to sit and chat for almost an hour. They said they were protesting the long wait and didn't care that others were still waiting to be seated before the restaurant closed at 2:30 PM. This was sad. The restaurant must institute procedures to follow when this occurs. Let me say that the April special of Sweet Potato Soufflé Pancakes is all that and more. Since we were seated late in the day (for the restaurant), I was able to sneak in an order while another person at my table was only able to get one pancake. I ordered mine with pecans instead of raisins. The pancakes did not disappoint. Although they were a bit thin, they made me happy! My guess is the batter was low and the chef did what was necessary to squeeze out a few more. I am not complaining. However, should I return to the Triangle before month end, I will be sure to arrive early to enjoy more of these pancakes. My other sides were eggs and Apple Smoked Bacon. They were good but I was so happy with the pancakes that nothing else mattered. When you visit, be prepared to wait. Take-out was pretty swift. You drive up to the front, order from your vehicle, and wait not more than 15 minutes. I observed this as I waited for a table. We arrived at about 9am on a Sunday morning, the staff will not let you be seated unless you have the whole entire party there! This shouldn't be a problem but it's a little annoying when you have one person in your crew that's tardy for the party (as we did lol)! Once everyone arrived we waited less than 10 minutes before we were seated. I ordered the count skillet, added broccoli, with scrambled eggs and wheat toast. I would 10000000% recommend! I will definitely be back and probably order the same thing with no eggs! I'm personally not a huge egg person so I just gave my eggs to my boyfriend. The skillet was sooo good, and it was super filling!! Honestly you can't go wrong with any of the skillets in my opinion! I got the take-out and to be honest it was kind of just okay for me. I got the french toast and got a side of over medium eggs and corned beef hash for take-out since I'm trying to stay away from crowds if possible. They were both good but overall I wasn't particularly impressed with the food itself. They did do a good job of handling curbside pickup and having spaces available as well as having masks on when confirming my order/getting my payment. It might've been just that and it seems like people also like the grits so maybe I'll give it a second chance and try that next time I'm in the area. I came to Brigs this past weekend after years and it was a great experience. It was NCCU's homecoming so it was a little busier than usual for a Sunday (which is still pretty busy!). But the 45 minute wait was worth it. We had a party of 8 and all of our food was hot and correct. Our server, Arturo, provided better than Chick-fil-a level service! There is almost always a wait here if you come for weekend brunch, but I'm not sure why because the food really is just quite average. I've tried the fancy fries, Augusta Benedict, and crab cakes. Despite being called "fancy," the fancy fries were far from it. It was just cheese (a lot of which had dried) and bacon added on top of a small portion of fries and served with a side of sour cream. We visited on a Friday morning for breakfast and there wasn't a wait to be seated. However, I did notice that after some time went by there were quite a few people waiting. There is nothing special about the decor or vibe. It's pretty basic. Our waiter was friendly and provided good service. I can't believe I had never been here. I came here for brunch on an early, Saturday afternoon. There is a parking lot with ample parking. There was a long wait to get seated--25 minutes. We went at 9:30 am on a Saturday worried there'd be a long wait and we were seated immediately. Our server was speedy and attentive and brought a whole carafe of coffee. I'd always heard about the lemon ricotta pancakes - they were delicious. The lemon in them really left you not feeling like you'd just eaten massive pancakes. Haha. My sister spilt my hot chocolate and after notifying her and asking for more napkins, without hesitation she had more napkins, a tray (to grab the used napkins), spray and a wash cloth to clean up the mess. The food was solid, not amazing or out of this world but it was good. If you are a good cook, it probably is equivalent to what you can make at home in terms of quality. We had a pancake, omlette, homestyle potatoes, and toast. So maybe if we had something else it would be better? Overall, I liked it. I probably will avoid for a couple weeks due to COVID in case of a surge because the sitting is inside but it was nice. Initially, I thought it was Indian-inspired because of the font for the name, but once you look at the menu, it doesn't look like Indian food at all! Came here for breakfast and had zero wait time. However, not long after, around 9am, this place began to fill up quick! I had the Country Scramble - bacon, mushrooms, chives, and 3 eggs topped with cheddar jack, tomatoes, and bacon, fire-baked for $8.79. Comes with the option of home fries or grits and toast or English muffin - I went with home fries and English muffin. I'm familiar with scrambles filling up the entire dish, so I was very surprised when it came in a small casserole dish. Nevertheless, it was still delicious. In fact, it allowed me to enjoy the scramble much more because each bite was packed with filling! The home fries are made of red potatoes and have a very mild kick to them, in a good way. I also tried their Pumpkin Pancakes, 8" in diameter. Absolutely magnificent! Full of pumpkin goodness and very filling. Attentive service and no complaints. Great place for breakfast. read more

Before we got to the door we were putting on our masks, by the time we got to the door we had them FULKY in place! I asked the guy at the door why this is required when we have to eat and can't do it with a mask! He went on a tirade! For 3 minutes he bashed us and all the others who apparently ask this question "all day long" he said. So after a while if him bashing us I politely said "we have our masks we'd just like to go in and eat". He started again! So I told him if he didn't want us to eat here we're happy to go somewhere else. But he just kept trying to make us feel dumb! See, we had dinner at a restaurant last night, we were not required to wear a mask to the table. For lunch we went to yet another restaurant & masks not required. All 5 miles apart! Same state! Same city! Now as I watched I saw ppl remove there masks, rub their eyes and nose, take the menu and touch the table ad to see what's on it. While the tables r cleared, the table was wiped but not the table ad thingy, the didn't wipe under the edge of the table where they diners put their fingers to put themselves up to the table. And they didn't wipe the backs of the chair, the ones who wipe their mouth & nose & eyes also touched the back of the chair to pull it out & push it back!! The food was ok but the omelet was undercooked & raw egg ran out on my plate (gross). The grits were floating n so much butter I couldn't eat more than a bite. Odd thing is, butter was floating but grits not hot enough to melt the huge piece of butter on top! A LOT of salt is used in the omelets, had to use a LOT of hot sauce to counter act the taste. We will not recommend this restaurant. When we go eat we want good hot food and no one raising their voice at me because I ask a question.! Kinda took my appetite! There aren't many places like this around so on a Sat late morning, it was crowded. However, the staff knows how to keep the seats available and get tables moving so the wait wasn't terribly long. I'll admit that a few items looked really good but based on my restrictions that day, I was limited in menu options. My friend got the waffle and said it was good and filling. I had the Seafood Scramble which should come with eggs scrambled with blue crab, shrimp, dill and cream cheese. Served with Hollandaise on the side. I omitted the shrimp and was surprised to see they doubled the crab meat when the order came. Had I known that, I would've asked for less because there was more crab than egg which made it very rich and too much to eat. And I LOVE crab meat but it was too overwhelming. I'll give it another shot and make sure I ask more questions next time. read more
