    Florentine Benedict
    Lauren M.

So many options on the menu it was hard to decide. I went with the Florentine Benedict with homefries and fruit. This was a lot of food and I liked it but I'd probably try something else next time. Fruit was just ok - mainly grapes with a pineapple and orange slice. The staff were so attentive and kind!

This review marks my third time visiting this Brig's location. This restaurant has a diner feel to it. The portions are generous and worth saving for multiple meals. People come and sit awhile to enjoy good company and good food. On this visit I ordered one of their Thanksgiving specials: the Pilgrim's Benedict. It is a very generous serving of food. I made three breakfasts out of it. My companion ordered a fluffy waffle with eggs and homefries as his side dish. It was his first visit. He was satisfied. I'm glad I introduced him to Brig's. I recommend Brig's for their omelettes and benedicts. They are excellent.

I've been coming to this Brigs location for close to 35 yrs. 98% of the time the food and service is excellent. After several visits you get to know the menu, find your favorites, and appreciate the monthly additions that are seasonal. On this visit I chose the bratwurst burger on a pretzel bun with sweet potato fries. My spouse will always get eggs Benedict wherever it's avail and the broccoli salad that they've become known for. Everything was delicious. I noticed they added a mural to the wall in one of the rooms to reflect notable local sites and in the other was Halloween decor. Both a nice touch. I highly recommend Brigs over Benetis down the street, where some of the staff can be prickly at the drop of a hat.

Amazing food and service and the wait for 2 was not long at all for a Sunday morning. We had the blueberry griddle combo with cheese eggs and corned beef hash and the crab cake Benedict with grits and hash browns. I am already trying to find a date to go back.

Plenty of parking. It's in a strip mall type of place. The inside is reminiscent of a diner but bigger. Service was fast. Our waitress was lovely. The food was great!! The star of the show for me was the pancakes!!! Get the pancakes! I had egg whites and crab cake. The crab cake was pretty good but I'm not someone who usually eats crab cakes. The omelette was good. The food was cheap too. We paid around $40 for our meal plus drinks. I'll definitely eat here again when I'm in the area.

I never thought I'd fall in love with a restaurant so much that whenever I'm in town I require myself to come back. That says a lot because the wait here on a Sunday is at least 30 minutes and I'll wait gladly. This restaurant reminds me of an old timey diner, but with a huge menu stacked with crazy options and combos, you could get lost in the menu. Briggs is truly a staple, from the waitresses who've been here over 10 years to the food that never disappoints. I had the best pancakes of my life, buttery and fluffy with crispy breakfast potatoes and eggs that melt in your mouth. I am #TeamBriggs forever

Chicken and waffles, side of bacon & eggs.

This was an overall great trip to Brigs! Everything was so streamlined and fast making it an amazing experience. The ambience, to be honest wasn't all that, but the wall of various landmarks in the area was a really nice touch. Our server was kind and thoughtful, always coming quick with refills and getting our food out really quickly! Speaking of food, the food and drink were awesome! The Chicken and waffles I ordered were light and tasty, with the bacon being nice and crunchy. The eggs were alright, I don't really expect much when it comes to eggs in restaurants. Overall, Brigs is a decent spot to get breakfast (or brunch). Pay them a visit!

I liked this spot, very cute decor and nice staff. We waited about 35 mins and I'm not sure I would wait that long again. My husband loved his skillet. My shrimp and crab benedict was pretty good. I liked that it came with fresh fruit. The hollandaise was really tasty and the egg was poached well. On the other hand....The grits were drowning in butter and still pretty flavorless. I would definitely eat here again, the waffles looked amazing!

    Stuffed French Toast

This place gets busy on Sunday afternoon, so expect a 20-30 minute wait. Everyone was very friendly though, and the service was pretty quick. We came for the Stuffed French Toast after seeing it, and it was good, but not as good as we were expecting. The omelet was really good, and the home fries too. Overall it was a good experience, and the food wasn't bad.

I dined here with my dad for a weekday breakfast . The service and food were great! There was a less than five minute wait to get seated . The server was attentive and pleasant. The portions were large and the avocado was very fresh . The scrambled eggs with cheese was light and fluffy , and the blueberry pancake was delicious. Parking was easy accessible and the restaurant was clean .

The Works with Cheesy Grits and an English Muffin

When in Durham, NC and you're looking for great breakfast and brunch options, Brigs at the Park is a must try! The staff is always pleasant and the food, fresh and delicious. We had Carol as our server and she's a sweet Southern gem with a beautiful smile. Happy and full are a marriage made in heaven... You'll definitely experience this euphoria. The WORKS Omelet - Bursting with flavorful ingredients such as Sausage, Ham, Bacon, Mushrooms, Bell Peppers, Carmalized Onions, Tomatoes and Cheddar - Jack with a side of Cheesy Grits and an English Muffin. Next up, The BEAST Omelet - This one is strictly for the carnivore lover as it's filled with Ham, Smoked Turkey, Bacon, Pork Sausage and Cheddar - Jack accompanied by Home Fried Potatoes and a Cinnamon & Raisin English Muffin. Chicken Tenders with Scrambled Eggs and Cheddar Cheese (Why? Because I LIKE ketchup on my eggs ) The Powdered Waffle goes with the Chicken and Eggs in the other picture. Fish and Fries with Aioli and Pita Bread can be seen behind the Waffle. Everything is better with BACON!! Especially when it's near closing and you are served almost a full pack. The Bacon was paired with Cheesy Eggs. https://www.brigs.com/menus ($) Follow Me on IG @njoylife_tastefully Cheers (They do not serve alcohol)

Malibu omelette with home fries and fruit

My friends and I came here on a Saturday around 10:30 and the wait was about 15 minutes for a table. The restaurant seemed to get busier with time, so definitely be prepared for a wait if you come around 11/12 on a weekend. The waitress who took our orders was so sweet and friendly. She was quick to refill drinks and overall very attentive. The food came out fairly quick considering how busy the place was. I ordered the Malibu omelette without cheese with a side of home fries and fruit. The omelette was really good, it was loaded with fresh vegetables and the eggs were super fluffy. At first I thought the serving of avocado was lacking based on the small slice on top, but there was actually more inside the omelet thankfully. The home fries were a little hard and cold, but that was my only complaint. The prices were not bad either! Final takeaway, this is a great & delicious brunch place if you've got an appetite and are not in a time crunch!

I called about 2 or so weeks in advance to order the cake said what I wanted I even asked if they did designs and the young lady on the phone said no, even though the website state you can place a custom cake order. I order Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. I didn't want their standard 10" cake so I went with a 8" cake instead. The lady over the phone said I needed to pay for the entire cake upfront with bakeries I've ever ordered from only required a deposit or 50% of the cake price. I paid and was told I just needed to pick up the cake before they close the day the cake is ready. Cool beans! Fast forward I pick up the cake issue number 1 the writing on the cake is so sloppy it looked like a 5 year old could do better. It didn't fully say what I wanted it to say and when I asked if the writing could be redone the lady said there is no baker available. Okay? I picked my cake up at 3:30pm and there is no baker? I take my cake and leave it's nothing I can do about the cake situation at this point and leave. Once again I didn't pick this bakery my BF he said he knows the owner and explained the story about the owner turning a bad life situation into a good one. I believe the owners story is on the website as well. My boyfriend takes the cake out the fridge about an hour or so before cutting into it. I didn't want to complain about the cake but I'm sure my facial expressions said it all. He cuts the cake and and I eat it the middle of the cake is extremely moist and delicious but the closer you each to the edge of the cake it was overcooked dry asf... and burnt. The frosting within an inch of the frosting of the cake was dry and hard. Either the cake was still hot when the frosting was added or they left the cake out and the frosting got dry and hard. The cake was off putting and out right not good with all the textures of the cake going on. The frosting wasn't too sweet but the texture was just wrong. I called the very next day and was told to all the following day apparently, the didn't a a manager or supervisor that day once again I thought that was odd. I call again and finally have some luck. I speak with the owner who is friendly. He offers to remake the cake but it was for a birthday and we were kind of over it. He then ask what can he do? I asked him what can he do? Then I just say to be fair they used the ingredients to make the cake I would just like half my money back I paid for the cake. He agreed and he hoped the I would give them another try, why n I am not opposed to. The shop itself is super clean it's beautiful inside there is if I recalled a couple of tables and chairs to eat your desserts. The painting on the wall is cute. The is very spacious as well. I'm hoping the person who made my cake a bad baking day and I hope the cakes are not as bad I the one I received. I will just then another chance maybe not to bake my cake in the future, but try the other desserts in the dessert case.

For me, it's traditionally been a business lunch or dinner destination, but this visit was a personal lunch during the workday. We've now been here several times over the years, and unfortunately the experience has been remarkably consistent. For lunch we ordered: * Blackberry Salmon * Shrimp & Grits * Unsweetened Iced Tea * Saratoga Still Water Our bill came to $70.38 before tax and tip and also included a 3.5% Kitchen Appreciation Fee. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Both the building and the dining room create an inviting atmosphere that makes you expect a memorable meal. The ingredients were clearly high quality, and that's what made the meal somewhat frustrating. The execution simply didn't bring those ingredients to life. The Shrimp & Grits came with only five shrimp. They were perfectly cooked, but the portion felt small for the price. The grits were prepared correctly but lacked much flavor or personality. The Blackberry Salmon had similar issues. The salmon itself was cooked well but wasn't seasoned to let its flavor shine. The rice was bland, and while the blackberries were an interesting idea, they didn't really complement the salmon for us. Again the portion was adequate but not generous. Service was pleasant. We were seated immediately despite arriving at noon on a weekday, and our order was taken promptly. As on previous visits, though, there was a noticeable wait before the food arrived. Parking has always been somewhat limited, although the restaurant now offers complimentary valet parking, which is a nice improvement. One final surprise came when reviewing the receipt afterward: the 3.5% Kitchen Appreciation Fee. We hadn't noticed it during the meal, we were not told about it and then tipped in addition to it. Whether or not restaurants choose to add this type of fee is their decision, but we'd appreciate it being communicated more clearly before the bill arrives so that we are not tipping the 3.5% fee itself. Ultimately, we wanted to like Glasshouse Kitchen more than we did. The setting is beautiful, the ingredients are good, and the staff is pleasant. But after several visits, we continue to come away feeling that the food needs more thoughtful seasoning, the portions don't quite justify the price, and the overall value doesn't match the cost. We hope they'll refine the menu because the restaurant has the foundation to be much better than the meals we've experienced.
