Our dinner order was given shortly after drinks but after 1 hour and 15 minutes, no food. The waitress assured our meals would be out in 10 minutes. It wasn't. When it did come one steak was so well done it was not eatable despite being ordered med rare. The waitress said she could bring another steak in 3 minutes but that took 10. One of the children's meal came out 10 minutes later. Yes, it was busy. But it's a restaurant, they knew it was Mother's Day. If they couldn't provide servers why did they overbook? So this was our first time trying this place. From the beginning till the end it was just not a pleasing experience mainly because the service was beyond pathetic. So slow and so inattentive and we went in on a Wednesday evening not even a weekend. We went in for a happy hour and got seated on a 4 top near the bar. After being seated the order was taken food came out in about 20 mins and that was the end of that. We literally went got our silverware. All during the dining experience never did a waiter came by to ask if we needed anything. We got down asked for ketchup then got down looked for the waitress to order dessert and it was just a garbage show. The food was good but honestly not going back just because the service is so so bad. We had ordered the burgers, beef carpaccio, calamari, flatbread and tiramisu. All items were delicious definitely a 7.5/8 out of 10. The restaurant itself is nicely done up. It's huge from inside. Lots of seating. I hope the manager is reading this and can coach the staff. If you are wanting a good dining experience this is not your place you will definitely be ticked off by the worst service. read more

My friends and I wanted to try a new restaurant, so we settled on Brio. The restaurant is in a nice area and looked great when walking inside. It was a little pricier but the drinks were decent. Our waiter suggested adding chicken to the pasta but didn't mention the price or how much there would be. When it arrived at the table, I was a little overwhelmed but it wasn't bad. Was it expensive? Sure. But the waiter also added something we hadn't ordered. So I'd advise you look over the bill again at the end of your meal. read more

The main dining room is pretty nice with tall ceilings really big chandeliers. My main critique is with the chicken limone. There was no seasoning on the poor chicken. I tasted the egg and flour mixture but unfortunately the meat was incredibly bland. It's a shame because these are huge portions but I did not know what to do with this chicken. The mashed potatoes were lacking some salt as well to bring out the garlic flavor. I will say that my husband's dish was flavorful and he really enjoyed it. The pasta was cooked perfectly. We had great service but not so great food. Our waitress was very receptive and made sure we had a pleasant experience overall despite the setbacks. I am going to start this with stating I have been to a Brio several times in So Cal, Victoria Gardens, which was why we wanted to try this one. As we had liked the Brio in our home state. 4 of us went to Brio on a Wednesday evening. The place was not crowded. Our table was waited on by an individual that was also tending to the bar. This person did a fairly well job of handling both though it was easy to forget us and our drinks were not refilled or asked to be refilled once during our time there. Initially the place was muggy and a little warm inside so we were uncomfortable. It was clean and we did enjoy watching a helium balloon go round and round on one of the ceiling fans. Hard to say how long it was there but it did make us laugh. The food was ok nothing spectacular. It could have been because of the mugginess of the weather. read more

We had a pretty large group with about 24 people so we had a private room. I don't know when the reservation was made but I got the invite a week in advance so they had a whole week at the least to prepare for our size party. When we got there the ambience was nice but they took a very long time to get our orders. They forgot 4 orders which included mines and had to keep asking "ok who didn't get a plate?" So we had to put our orders in again. They mixed up the salad orders. They were confused on how to charge us individually so we had to wait long after closing to get our checks and to pay our bill. It was a horrific experience because of their lack of organization and bad service. The food was just ok. They filled our water glasses slowly so I was dry mouth the whole dinner. The Alfredo was tasteless, It reminded me of a tv dinner. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this restaurant especially with a large dinner party. read more

It was $30 for oil drenched, overcooked pasta and dried out chicken. I wish I was over exaggerating but I'm not. I had to transfer the chicken and strain a small portion of pasta onto another plate to eat it because eating it as is was frankly a bit gross. Sadly the pasta was over cooked so it already soaked in a lot of the oil. The server was nice but almost nonexistent and didn't ask how my food was until I already paid and she noticed how much food was left behind. If she had asked me earlier, I would've asked for a replacement meal. It was that bad. Used to enjoy Brio at Liberty but it's sad to see their steep decline. read more

When our meal finally arrived, we had to wait even longer for part of my mom's meal, due to a kitchen error. I ordered the Grilled Salmon Salad without the shoestring potatoes. The salmon was well prepared, but the rest of the salad was just ok. My family members all seemed to enjoy their meals. Overall, dining at Brio was a three out of five stars experience. The atmosphere was neat, the food was good, and the bathrooms were clean. However the service was lacking and the menu was overpriced. I doubt I'll go back anytime soon. read more

On my 1st visit they were out of the lobster bisque I ordered, but they made it right by promising a complimentary cup upon my return. I returned that evening per my waiter's advice to get a complimentary cup of bisque that night since I work in the area, but they were still out of it so I left empty handed. He then promised a bowl which was delivered on my 3rd visit, which was much appreciated. My first visit had solid service from the waiter. He was attentive, friendly, and had good one-liners. On my 2nd visit, the waitress was struggling and didn't seem on the ball. The manager ended up taking care of me more than the server. The waitress disappeared after my drink was delivered and the restaurant wasn't too busy. She was also flustered and forgot to delete the lobster bisque from the check, even though front of house manager told her to do so. I believe this place has a lot of potential, it just needs to tie up loose ends. Overall I'd give it a 3.5/5 but Yelp doesn't allow half stars and seems more stringent. read more

We saw our food sitting under the warmers, waited 45+ minutes and had to ask for them to bring it. When we expressed any concern as our plates were scalding hot (even burnt my 9 year old) we were met with blank stares. We said we didn't want the food at that point, the flatbread was soggy but still charged us. I would NOT recommend this place. There was no front of the house manager on duty. My first visit here was on a Sunday for brunch - we felt so bad for our server. He was the only person in the place! No bartender, no other servers, and the dining room was about half full. There was another guy helping to run food but that was all. There were 4 of us, it took about 2 hours in total to get our app and meals, plus part of our order was wrong. When we got food finally, several dishes were wrong and it was obvious that some had sat in the window for quite some time (the carbonara sauce had basically evaporated for example). Told them to take one of the dishes off the check which they did. Server had written us off by then and never came back until she dropped off the check. Still no apology about anything. She assumed we'd be leaving little to no tip I guess. However, we still tipped modestly because I've worked in restaurants and know how things can go badly and you are at the mercy of the kitchen or whatever, but a simple apology or even a simple check in to tell us things are backlogged is the bare minimum, and that did not happen. read more

This was my first experience with Brio and I was super excited especially since it was to celebrate a friends birthday whom I haven't seen in months. We had a reservation at 7 and were seated promptly and was greeted by a man I'm assuming was the manager about 5 minutes later bringing us water. Once he dropped off our water our server arrived and took our order for a round of drinks and after that, while waiting on our last guest to arrive, we were completely ignored. We had to ask for bread 3 times to 3 different people before another server named Ashley finally brought us some after we had been there waiting for 1 hour and 24 minutes precisely. At this point we asked Ashley to take over waiting on us due to such poor service and she agreed and informed the manager who then came over to us and with a tone said "what's the issue ladies I thought we were waiting on your last guest". Yes we were but that doesn't mean you don't check on us to see if we need refills, or bring us bread we had asked for for over an hour, or see if we wanted to order any appetizers while we waited. He stated he would give us a discount for the trouble which ended up only being $3.40 which didn't even cover the tax on everything I had ordered. What a joke. To top it off we witnessed the manager and our original server staying at the same two tables making sure they were taken care of while we were neglected all while we were trying to celebrate a birthday! Once Ashley started taking care of us the experience was completely different! She was kind, attentive, and personable! She made sure we had everything we needed. She even got our friend a complimentary dessert for her birthday which was greatly appreciated! The food was delicious and Ashley was impeccable, but everything else was lackluster and unimpressive. I work in the customer service industry and used to be a server for years so I'm accustomed to how these experiences are supposed to be handled and the ball was dropped completely and unfortunately the manager didn't even seem to care. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with dining out, but hopefully they can improve and treat their customers with care and respect in the future. We get there an hour early so we ask if it's ok to come in early they say yes we come in and tell the hostess that we would just sit at the bar till everyone else gets there so everyone gets there at 8pm and we alert her and she says ok getting the table ready and she'll be back 45 minutes passed and I'm like hold on where's the hostess cant find her so another one comes up and says we're bussing the table sorry it was some miscommunication on our behalf we're like ok but this is a friends birthday dinner and everything is already going bad so we sit around 8:50pm order why we ain't get our food till 1030 pm all they could do is apologize and ended up charging some people more than they were supposed to. Started off on a really good note. Our server liz and came out pretty swiftly greeted us and took our order. She wasn't impersonable so she came out with a very bubbly attitude and a willingness to serve us correctly beginning with her name. We ordered fingerlings and spinach artichoke for apps and Liz reccomended spaghetti Bolognese with a adjustment on the noodles and it was magnificent. My company ended with warm chocolate cake and again it didn't disappoint. Along with the very light music and scenery it was a very great experience at BRIO as this is my second time coming here. First time in the levee this time at this location. Both occasions great. I think I've found my new favorite Italian restaurant too go to and Italian is my favorite. A little back backstory. We were here a couple months ago and had horrendous service. We've always eaten at the bar and it's been fine. This was table service at its worst. Fast forward to tonight. Thought we'd give it another try at the bar since my husband likes the steak salad. When i say it took us almost 2 hours from placing our order to walking out the door I'm not exaggerating. Our server was great. Not her fault. She said the kitchen is a mess and for some reason PASTA is the slowest dish???? Like what?! And of course the one time i choose pasta over my normal salmon salad. What a mistake. Chicken spinach fettuccine was dry. And the chicken was rubbery. We will never be back. Fire your chef or whoever manages that kitchen or y'all will be closing up. NO REASON PASTA SHOULD TAKE OVER AN HOUR. read more

I stopped in the other day with my BFF for lunch. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer (which were amazing if you want to know, meatballs stuffed with cheese). We shared spaghetti bolognese which was very tasty, the service was just as amazing as the food. Now I will say, do not come here if you are in a hurry. The worst carry out $58 for two entrees lasagne and Gorgonzola pasta with one side salad. Carry out didn't come with one piece of bread, no Parmesan, or utensils. Food was awful ...the Gorgonzola pasta was terrible...the sauce was tasteless and thin ...tasted like milk ..the asparagus were such thin strips they could have been any green thing ...nothing to show or taste it was asparagus. I actually took a few bites and threw it in the trash. So disappointing and we drove 20 miles to go there . The lasagne was ok per my husband...not great but better than mine. I asked for a creamy Parmesan for the salad and got Italian instead . The salad was almost all lettuce ...no chopped bits other than some tomatoes. My corporate office is located in Mason, which isn't very far from this restaurant, so I try to stop by at least once when I'm in the area. Not sure what has happened here, but I was definitely not impressed, in fact I was slightly disgusted. Five months ago, I was raving about this place, but now.... I came in and was immediately greeted by the hostess - I told her that I would sit at the bar and she was pleasant and said I could sit anywhere. With that being said, the bar was empty. A total of 5 people, 6 including myself. I sat down and the bartender was "chatting" with other patrons, no biggie (at first). I wasn't acknowledged until minutes later after I stared her down - Strike 1, I should have left then. I placed my drink order and then my appetizer order. A lady sat down 2 seats down from me, moments later and without the customer asking, was immediately told of all the specials and was given bread - Strike 2. I received bread after asking for it. When my app arrived it was at best room temperature - Strike 3. I have been traveling all day, so I was starving and just ate it. I had to ask for another drink - Strike 4, a customer should never have to ask a bartender for another glass of wine especially when it's as SLOW as it was at the bar. It was Monday at 7:05pm. The lady next me was asked at least 3 times by the bartender, how everything was going with her meal / drinks; me...I was NEVER asked anything - Strike 5. Again the bar was SUPER empty (see attached pictures). I had to ask the bartender if I could order my entree. Maybe because I didn't "look" like the rest of the people sitting at the bar, I didn't get the "preferred" treatment, I don't know. EVERYTHING that I receive (any type of service and including getting my bill) tonight was because of ME asking or having to stare someone down. But what I do know, I have no intentions of coming back to this place anytime soon. And if I ever decide to return and I see the same bartender (I got her in the picture), I will just leave. read more
