It's the second redo for me. This took place on Saturday, starting at about 4:30 PM. It was busy but not over crowed. You could hold a conversation with your dinner mates. Two people who ordered Ravioli, said it was cold, and sent it back to the kitchen. Their complaint was acceped. Shortly they were served what seemed to a fresh plate of ravioli. My order was Spaghetti Carbonera. The spaghetti was thin and hot. It was cooked until tender. Loads of white sauce, and butter topped the pasta. There was bread on the table for soping up the sauce. Those who diined with me ordered dessert. They were all trilled with how the desserts tasted. They all looked appealing. The dining group redily agreed to put this on the repeat list, that is we will go there again because it was so good, not because the food repeated on you, but because we all wanted to go back again. read more

This used to be one of our favorite Italian spots, which is why this review is a little hard to write. We've come back a few times hoping it was just an off night, but unfortunately it hasn't been the same. The service during our last visit was lacking--no side plates for appetizers, very little table check-in, and refills took multiple requests. I understand that every restaurant can have an off night, so I try to give grace there. What was more disappointing was the food quality. The Alfredo felt very watered down and lacked the richness and depth it used to have. The marinara also seemed a bit flat in flavor. My eggplant rollatini was just okay (it's usually one of my favorites). The Caesar salad had some browning and wilted romaine, and another salad we ordered didn't taste as fresh as expected. On a positive note, the bread and pesto were still great and fresh. The space itself is still very charming, which is part of why we've kept coming back. With some attention to food consistency and service, this could easily return to being a great little hidden gem. read more

This is a long overdue review. We went here a year ago, and a year later we still constantly talk about this restaurant and the food we had. We went on Christmas Eve 2024 and we were so happy to even find a restaurant open. When we went in the restaurant was busy, and it seemed like a very friendly place/ a place where you feel like family. We were brought pesto to dip the bread in and it was amazing- one of the best! For our entrees we ordered the fettuccini Alfredo, vodka penne, pesto gnocchi, and eggplant parm with penne. The fettuccini Alfredo was one of the best I have had in the whole country. Normally Alfredo is a very heavy sauce, but here it was light and delicious. The pasta was light the way homemade pasta is. My dad used very picky but he loved it, and the portions were so big that we had leftovers! My sister got the gnocchi and she talks about how no other restaurant has still compared to the taste of the pesto and the gnocchis itself. They were exactly what you imagine a gnocchi to be. They tasted homemade and were light and pillowy. She said she was ready to order a second serving even with a full belly. I got the vodka penne. The whole trip I was looking for a good vodka penne, and finally found it at Arrivederci. It was creamy and tangy and perfectly balanced. My mom got the eggplant and penne and she also loved it. For the dessert we got the chocolate tiramisu and the creme brûlée. We liked the tiramisu more than the creme brûlée, but everything was delicious. Overall this is the best restaurant we have been to in AZ, and one of the best we've been to in the country. There are few restaurants we've been to where we continue to talk about them so much after so much time, and even remember the name and the taste of the food. Our next trip to AZ we will definitely be back here! read more

This little neighborhood gem did not disappoint. The service was beyond wonderful everyone was so kind warm & welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the calamari it was perfectly crisp & had a good mix of rings & tentacles. The pesto and bread was so fresh & delicious. We had the specials of the night the veal Parmesan & black fettuccine pasta. The veal was the star of the show for me it was perfection! Everything that came out to every table looked amazing & made it hard to choose. We ended the evening with a little lemon cello shot they brought out & the Spumoni. We left so happy & full. A lovely atmosphere and a pleasure to enter this restaurant. Welcoming smiles and an excellent menu to peruse whilst enjoying wonderful bread with pesto or oil and balsamic on request. We started with very tasty meatballs served in a great marinara sauce. My husband ordered a pasta sausage and peppers dish and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the veal Marsala. My meal came with fresh steamed veggies and mashed potato with Marsala gravy. The veal was in three separate medallions. One piece was fairly tender but the other two were very chewy and l left one piece on the plate , as the knife provided would not cut it. I order ahead for pick up. It was ready before it was promised which was nice and they were very quick to help me when I went in. Felt kind of old time-y and charming. I had this place saved on Instagram I'd been wanting to try it for awhile. I came here on lunch and ordered the Penne Alla Vodka for lunch, and it was only $13. The place inside is so cute and traditional Italian style, and when I came to pick up, they had thrown in a salad, and bread for me and it was so sweet! It felt like my ancestors were making sure I had plenty to eat lol. Their home made bread with the pesto sauce was to die for. I also really appreciated the salad. The penne alla vodka was really nice too and not super overpowering. I'd love to try more on their menu this is a true authentic Italian place. Can't wait to come back for more! Five of us made a reservation to celebrate a birthday and this place did not disappoint. We were greeted right away and shown to a table in a cozy and old school Italian room. We shared a bottle of wine and they brought us their fresh baked bread with pesto dipping sauce that was delicious. I didn't get pictures of everything, sorry! I went here in December 2024 and I'm still thinking about the food there. The restaurant was cozy but still felt a little formal (jeans and a nice shirt, not sweatpants). The staff was so kind and attentive, we never had to wait for water. They started on their bread and rather than bringing out the standard olive oil, they brought out their house pesto. It was amazing, the bread was soft and warm while the pesto was herbaceous and garlicky. I got the pesto gnocchi after seeing how amazing their house pesto was and it was 10/10. The pesto was mixed with a cream sauce and the gnocchi was soft. Didn't feel like a heavy meal at all. My father got the fettuccine Alfredo which was creamy and cheesy, just what you want it to be. We aren't a dessert family much, but we got the crème brulee and it has a hard top then a creamy custard inside which was the perfect ending to the meal. This is the best pesto of all time (the POAT) and I highly recommend that if you're in Scottsdale you go to this restaurant. read more

I was planning a lunch for a large group. Eddie was wonderful to work with. The tables were set up in a way that gave our group privacy and allowed us to all see one another. I had the appetizer bruschetta and it was delicious. I could have made a meal of that alone. The Cesar salad was good. I loved the pollo pizzaola. It came with sautéed veggies and two nice pieces of chicken with a red sauce. I enjoyed the lemon ricotta cheesecake for dessert. We are winter visitors that have eaten here multiple times. We come back because the food and service is normally exceptional, but not tonight. We made a reservation for 630, got to the restaurant at 620, and was asked to stand off to the side. We watched at least 3 different parties checked in and the hostess told at least two parties that they were in line behind us. She sat those parties before us. I asked if and when we would be seated, and had been waiting for a while. I was told to be patient. It was now 655 and we just left. If parties of two are a problem, then they shouldn't accept them. Seems like a busy local spot - we arrived for our 7pm reservation on a Friday night and had to wait a little bit to be seated on the plastic enclosed outdoor patio. We were given pesto and bread while we were waiting for our entrees to arrive. The pesto was very tasty without being too salty. I ordered the Cioppino and my fiancé ordered the Fetticune Alfredo. THe portions are huge! I could have absolutely shared the Cioppino with someone else or even saved it for lunch the next day. I thoroughly enjoyed my cioppino - there was a heaping serving of seafood including fish, shrimp, clams, mussels, and squid. Underneath the pile of seafood was a pile of linguine, yum! My fiancé's Fetticune Alfredo was definitely as described "creamy alfredo white sauce" because it was literally a bowl of noodles with creamy sauce. He said it was not very flavorful. The menu has a wide variety, and the more complex dishes seem to offer more flavor so I would suggest those over plain noodles, or adding protein to the simpler dishes. read more
