Veal with cheese sauce.
Melody P.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant is old world cozy but elegant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We called in for a reservation late but when we arrived the was reserved for us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was in a cozy corner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Most of the service was done by the owners, which was delightful. It was definitely locals, they seem to know everyone. We had three different dinners, all were excellent.

The special of the night, black fettuccine

This little neighborhood gem did not disappoint. The service was beyond wonderful everyone was so kind warm & welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the calamari it was perfectly crisp & had a good mix of rings & tentacles. The pesto and bread was so fresh & delicious. We had the specials of the night the veal Parmesan & black fettuccine pasta. The veal was the star of the show for me it was perfection! Everything that came out to every table looked amazing & made it hard to choose. We ended the evening with a little lemon cello shot they brought out & the Spumoni. We left so happy & full. I can't wait to return. I do recommend making reservations as it's a small intimate place and every single table was booked. I can see why this place was wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Fettuccine Alfredo w/Meatballs

I order ahead for pick up. It was ready before it was promised which was nice and they were very quick to help me when I went in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Felt kind of old time-y and charming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered fettuccine Alfredo and added meatballs. It came with some bread and pesto to dip. They also had grated parm cheese in my to-go order. Yum! It was delicious. I very much enjoyed the Alfredo sauce and I thought it was very fair priced for adding in meatballs too!

A lovely restaurant taken just before every single table was occupied.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A lovely atmosphere and a pleasure to enter this restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Welcoming smiles and an excellent menu to peruse whilst enjoying wonderful bread with pesto or oil and balsamic on request. We started with very tasty meatballs served in a great marinara sauce. My husband ordered a pasta sausage and peppers dish and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the veal Marsala. My meal came with fresh steamed veggies and mashed potato with Marsala gravy. The veal was in three separate medallions. One piece was fairly tender but the other two were very chewy and l left one piece on the plate , as the knife provided would not cut it. I was disappointed but the overall meal and experience was good and I felt no reason to complain. I would certainly return to this very popular place. Our server had worked there for almost 28 years and deserves a round of applause for his expertise and demeanor.

Sea bass and ravioli in vodka sauce

If you have never been here before, you must go. The food is beyond amazing and the service is spectacular. I highly recommend the cheese raviolis with vodka sauce and the Seabass is out of this world. The lemon cheesecake is absolutely delicious. Everything is homemade and just so authentic. The servers are beyond kind and very attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Feels like a family when you eat there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I had this place saved on Instagram I'd been wanting to try it for awhile. I came here on lunch and ordered the Penne Alla Vodka for lunch, and it was only $13. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place inside is so cute and traditional Italian style[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and when I came to pick up, they had thrown in a salad, and bread for me and it was so sweet! It felt like my ancestors were making sure I had plenty to eat lol. Their home made bread with the pesto sauce was to die for. I also really appreciated the salad. The penne alla vodka was really nice too and not super overpowering. I'd love to try more on their menu this is a true authentic Italian place. Can't wait to come back for more! All the employees are so nice and accommodating and made me feel right at home even for a to go order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is just stunning![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Eggplant and penne

This is a long overdue review. We went here a year ago, and a year later we still constantly talk about this restaurant and the food we had. We went on Christmas Eve 2024 and we were so happy to even find a restaurant open. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we went in the restaurant was busy, and it seemed like a very friendly place/ a place where you feel like family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were brought pesto to dip the bread in and it was amazing- one of the best! For our entrees we ordered the fettuccini Alfredo, vodka penne, pesto gnocchi, and eggplant parm with penne. The fettuccini Alfredo was one of the best I have had in the whole country. Normally Alfredo is a very heavy sauce, but here it was light and delicious. The pasta was light the way homemade pasta is. My dad used very picky but he loved it, and the portions were so big that we had leftovers! My sister got the gnocchi and she talks about how no other restaurant has still compared to the taste of the pesto and the gnocchis itself. They were exactly what you imagine a gnocchi to be. They tasted homemade and were light and pillowy. She said she was ready to order a second serving even with a full belly. I got the vodka penne. The whole trip I was looking for a good vodka penne, and finally found it at Arrivederci. It was creamy and tangy and perfectly balanced. My mom got the eggplant and penne and she also loved it. For the dessert we got the chocolate tiramisu and the creme brûlée. We liked the tiramisu more than the creme brûlée, but everything was delicious. Overall this is the best restaurant we have been to in AZ, and one of the best we've been to in the country. There are few restaurants we've been to where we continue to talk about them so much after so much time, and even remember the name and the taste of the food. Our next trip to AZ we will definitely be back here!

Five of us made a reservation to celebrate a birthday and this place did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were greeted right away and shown to a table in a cozy and old school Italian room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We shared a bottle of wine and they brought us their fresh baked bread with pesto dipping sauce that was delicious. I didn't get pictures of everything, sorry! All of our food was home made and perfection. We each ordered a different dessert and the only one we didn't like was the crème brûlée. We've had better elsewhere. Drinks were amazing, food was scrumptious, service was friendly. We will definitely go back!

Got the special and it was delicious. This is real Italian food, my favorite in AZ next to Dimaggios. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Old school vibe and service that tells you they know their food is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Do yourself a favor and make yourself a regular at this establishment.

Fettuccine Alfredo

I went here in December 2024 and I'm still thinking about the food there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was cozy but still felt a little formal (jeans and a nice shirt, not sweatpants).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was so kind and attentive, we never had to wait for water. They started on their bread and rather than bringing out the standard olive oil, they brought out their house pesto. It was amazing, the bread was soft and warm while the pesto was herbaceous and garlicky. I got the pesto gnocchi after seeing how amazing their house pesto was and it was 10/10. The pesto was mixed with a cream sauce and the gnocchi was soft. Didn't feel like a heavy meal at all. My father got the fettuccine Alfredo which was creamy and cheesy, just what you want it to be. We aren't a dessert family much, but we got the crème brulee and it has a hard top then a creamy custard inside which was the perfect ending to the meal. This is the best pesto of all time (the POAT) and I highly recommend that if you're in Scottsdale you go to this restaurant.

Best meatballs west of El Paso, Texas!

It's July 4th and we found this gem in Scottsdale. The Lasagna was fabulous, and so was the fettuccini however the meatballs were the icing on the cake. Few make them like my wife or Mom and this place does. No offense to the Fairmont but this was the best meal all week!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]AMAZING experience. So welcoming and authentic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can tell the owners take pride in what they serve. Tammy was our server, she was a doll and as authentic as they come. Gave us great recommendations. Food was great and they have amazing specials. Arancini balls aren't shown but pretty good too. Table side bread and pesto was a highlight as well. So good. Will be coming back

My Italian friend recommended Uncle Sal's as an authentic Italian spot -- so I had to go on that…read morerecommendation and I definitely thought the food was good. I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.

Visited a few times, it's a classic Italian restaurant with a great menu and welcoming atmosphere…read morewith amazing staff and even better food! On this trip we had a margarita pizza, chicken parm, and a side of meatballs, we also had a Caesar salad. Everything was 10/10 the freshness of each dish is present in the rich flavors, the freshest basil I've ever had on a pizza and as I love tons of it! The tomato sliced thin so it took in some heat and charred just a bit. The crust is like nothing I've ever had almost like focaccia bread but thinner the perfect crispiness. Now this chicken parm, it's huge we split it and left with 1/2! Comes with angel hair marinara and green beans, it's crisp but with a light breading and yet it's fully breaded again not like any chicken parm I've had, the angel hair marinara is super flavorful for a simple side plus buttery net not oil green beans. I'm not sure how they do it but I'll go back as many times I can
