The shrimp and egg rolls were so good, I did not get a picture of them. The friend green tomatoes were okay. I would not order them again. But I would order the shrimp and egg rolls again! My dinner was the Parmesan crusted grilled chicken. It was 10/10. Very delicious. My husband got the salmon and it was very juicy and tender. Service was good. We had plenty of refills. I don't know what that dipping sauce is, but it is ADDICTIVE! Pro tip-- get a side of it if you order the Mac and cheese side because it takes that to the next level! From there we ordered the chicken parm (pretty average) and the salmon on the strawberry spinach salad. I honestly think the broccoli, cooked to perfection was my favorite part of the meal. I found my way here via a business lunch and was instantly a fan. One of my associates said that this was once an Outback Steakhouse and I could see in the layout that it probably was. The ambiance of this establishment is definitely the classic mid-level price steakhouse. Service was very friendly and the food came to us in a fast matter. We were there for lunch, two speed is always a good thing. I had a sandwich with chicken and sausage with onion rings and it was outstanding. Everyone else at the table said there is was very good, as well. Pricing was pretty fair and along the lines of the national chain mid-level steakhouse prices. Had the Chopped Steak with Mac N Cheese plus Sweet Potato Casserole as a side. Husband had Ribeye with Rice Pilaf. I did not like the Sweet Potato Casserole, I make that dish myself, & I can tell you that the Sweet Potatoes needed butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, & salt to taste right, was very bland, like hospital food. Husband did not like the Rice Pilaf, but would not elaborate, but we also make this dish ourselves at home in the rice cooker, he said what we make is better. Our steaks were good, plus we got rolls & butter before the meal. The service was good, restaurant & restrooms clean. The prices were lower then we expected, we paid $47 for two people before the tip. We were just a little disappointed because we heard good things about Briquettes. Everything was great but the sides, so maybe the cook was having a bad day. We came between lunch & dinner, not too crowded, we're seated by the bar, there were other couples dining nearby. Some loud, belligerent woman was talking at the bar with a friend, I just wished she used her inside voice & manners, she was driving my husband & me crazy with her loud voice, we really do not like overhearing other people's conversation. Great option for a delicious meal! We had the artichoke spinach dip to start, and it was a HUGE portion! The bread that you get is so soft and fresh, it's delicious! I had the bacon wrapped shrimp with grilled asparagus and the house side salad- all was so tasty! My friend had the chicken Parmesan. We both had to go boxes and were stuffed! Being a waiter at several points in my life I understand this frustration,but the waitress when briefly gracing us with her presence was very much not feeling it , this might have been due to her getting her ass ran ragged but honestly it wasn't that busy and it's not like I couldn't see her meandering at a steady pace throughout the dinning room, but I don't care about that Foreal it's the food im concerned about and when I go out to eat I'd like to say "man I couldn't get that at home", instead I was saying "I could've gotten better at home". The atmosphere here was clean and nice. It has the typical steakhouse feeling with dimmed lights. I ordered the Rockefeller oysters, and the Chargrilled oysters for my appetizers. It was mediocre. I thought the Rockefeller was way too creamy, and I usually don't mind creamy parmesan. I felt they overly saturated the oysters. The Chargrilled oysters was mediocre. My main entree was the ribeye 12 oz. I have to say the quality of the steak was impressive! The steak was tender, and juicy. My knife literally cut through that steak like butter. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. The only down side was the seasoning. It was NOT my favorite. It had this old Bay seasoning taste to it. I have no clue what the seasoning was, but I personally did not like it. I had to use A1 sauce on a perfect steak. This made me so sad. I have eaten the large Ribeye on numerous occasions, and each and every time, it was just delicious. I decided to go to Briquettes for lunch to grab a nice lunch steak. It was packed so I decided to sit at the bar. It was crowded as well, but I found and empty stool at the end of the bar. I ordered the 10 ounce Ribeye as I didn't want to get too full. Steamed broccoli was my side. My steak came out absolutely perfect. Seasoned to perfection, cooked amazingly. The cut was phenomenal, as was the quality of their beef. I am very disappointed in this restaurant. Today my wife and I went to Briquettes for lunch. It was around 2:15 and it looked fairly busy which to me is a good sign. Once we were seated our waitress who was very polite took our drink order as well as our meal order. Simple two steak dinners and two baked potato's. Within 15 minutes of our order she came back with two steaks on our plates. She explained that they did not have any potato's ready and that it would be 15 minutes or so before they would have any ready. Would we like to change to a different side dish? Now this wouldn't have bothered me if my wife hadn't over heard another waitress tell that particular table that they didn't have any potato's BEFORE they ordered. What bothered me even more so was this was the second time we had came into Briquettes to eat and they did not have any baked potato's (they said they had mashed potato's".....needless to say unfortunately this will be our last time to attempt to eat here. Like the old saying goes "PPP=PPR"....piss poor planning equals piss poor results. How can you NOT have baked potatoes or baked potatoes ready for serving at a STEAK HOUSE? read more

My husband and I eat here quiet often. He's a huge fan of their steaks. There is typically a wait but we sit at the bar since it's full service with no wait. We always order the exact same things pictured. The broccoli is the best, the steak is always flavorful and tender. This time we branched out to try the crab cakes with crawfish sauce. The flavor was good but it was fried a bit too heavy for our taste. Our waitress was amazing, she has our second drinks before our first were empty. Started with the crab cakes, not the freshest, but decent. The complimentary sweet bread was good. I did order the cheesy potato soup, but only after I was told by the waitress that the soup du jour was not as good (veg/beef maybe). This didn't matter, because it never did come out. For the entrees my whole family had filets, all medium rare. My daughter had the crusted blue cheese and really liked her filet. My wife ordered the filet with no add ons (she enjoyed it). I had the mushrooms and onions, which were served separately, but in abundance. Steaks had a charcoal flavor and were tender, just not incredibly tasty. Perhaps it's the grade, not sure. I had the onion rings on the side and that too was In abundance, easily enough for two. The grilled asparagus was good and so was the sweet potato casserole. This place is right in line with Outback IMO, however; with some small changes they could be better. I would certainly go back, just wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it. We had an okay experience at this location. We had a server who definitely did not want to be at work that night and it set the tone for our whole evening. Aside from dismal service, our food was mediocre. Our steaks were both cooked wrong, his way under and mine was over (no ours didn't get mixed up) I will say I private messaged the page on Facebook and let them know my thoughts.
