I took the advice of someone who left a review and had the ribs. Hands-down some of the best ribs I've ever had in my life and I travel a lot. Fried Green tomatoes were also off the chain. Terrible communication from host and manager. You will not be quoted with a wait time until your entire party is there, which is nonsense because they obviously knew a quote time of an hour but did not make that communication with us so that we could decide to wait or meet our party elsewhere. They wasted thirty minutes of our time when it could have been resolved with an estimated wait time in the beginning because they clearly knew they would not be able to accommodate us. Our last visit was somewhat disappointing. Two for Tuesday entree: steak was a ribeye was very thin, the top sirloin is better by far Appetizer: Crab stuffed mushrooms were fishy Parmesan crusted mushrooms were overcooked almost black Best part of meal was the steamed broccoli. I love Briquettes! Sometimes you just want a perfect juicy little Filet Mignon and some delicious sides and this place is perfect for that! They come through every time! I like my filet medium rare... leaning to medium. A hot red center... One time before, I came here and my steak was a bit over-done to my liking. The waitress saw it as I cut into it and asked me (before I could say a word), "That's not right, is it?" She immediately took it back to the kitchen and brought back a perfectly cooked one soon after. This latest visit was superb! Our waitress was very attentive, my steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, my grilled rosemary potatoes we divine, my broccoli was buttery and not too crunchy yet not too soft! I would have to say that this steakhouse (which appears to be in an old Outback location) served up one of the tastiest steaks I've had in a very long time. I ordered a ribeye with a baked potato, Mac and cheese and mushrooms. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were great, especially the Mac and cheese. So creamy! My wife had a sirloin with broccoli and baked potato. She scored some Mac and cheese when they brought it instead of broccoli. The server apologized and quickly brought a serving of broccoli. My wife raved over the Mac and cheese. The price was quite reasonable, and included a discount for paying cash. Our server Savannah was a gem and very friendly. read more

We wandered into Briquette's because family was in town and we wanted a steak. We were not disappointed. They immediately accommodated our party of 6.5 (4 adults, 3 kids-ages 4, 2, and 4 months) with a booth, our preference. We started with the nachos, which were flavorful and tasty, and the fried green tomatoes, which were some of the best I'd ever had. I had a steak, the 6 ounce filet, which was to die for. The rosemary red potatoes were the best potatoes I've had in a while. The kids enjoyed their sirloins, my aunt had a sirloin and she said it was good, and my husband said his ribeye was one of the better steaks he's EVER eaten. Being new to the city, Briquettes was recommended by foodies and friends alike so when it came time for a birthday and a celebration in the same night, we decided on Briquettes! The parking lot is ample, the restaurant is clean and well staffed, the seats are comfy, it appears to be an old Outback Steakhouse converted for this Mob Town steak joint. The atmosphere is casual with Christmas music playing, and it's kind of come as you are. Our waitress Angela was awesome, she was attentive, kind, helpful, and the food was cooked correctly and came out perfectly timed! We can safely recommend the Porterhouse, the T-bone, and the Prime Rib! The Porterhouse is massive, juicy and well seasoned, the T-bone is a nice option for those who are hungry but aren't quite porter house hungry! The bone in flavor and two cuts of meat are perfect together. The prime rib can be cut with a fork, and is well complimented with au jus and horseradish! For sides the sweet potato casserole, zucchini, baked potato and garlic mashed potatoes were all excellent. The asparagus was not very good I doubt I'd order that again. Also the sirloins were ok not the best but def not bad. The five of us had dinner for a very reasonable sum given a steakhouse price point and for quality of food for value it was great! My slight complaints are, 1) it's far too hot in there, both times I have been in there it's been very warm. 2) it still looks like an outback, if I'm at a local steak joint I want a unique dining environment, lastly it's a tad casual, I like a good casual joint as much as anyone and the steaks I would put up against Ruth Chris here in town, but tank tops and torn jeans is a tad silly for a steak house. I know these are not huge things but that's all that stopped me from a five star rating! All in all, great job Briquettes will definitely be back! read more

I've eaten here several times over the years, but apparently never written a review. So here's a quick historical rundown, from Filet (6oz) to Bone-In ribeye is spectacular. This past week I wasn't so hungry so I went with an order of Briquette Wings. Damn these were perfectly grilled and HUGE, I talking HUGE like I'm a chicken and I'm not moving in case it makes me lose any weight. Then it was smothered in this sticky sweet/heat sauce. We went on a late evening, like usual because we get off work late and we had to wait about 20 minutes before seating. We finally got to sit down and order and while we were waiting the chef comes out and says," our fire went out and it's gonna be a little longer than planned, just give us a few more minutes"... which seemed like forever.
