Situated off of Interstate 45, the diner's interior features old school movie memorabilia--offering a playful nod to the cultural icons of 1945. While there is often a wait to get a table, service is quick once inside. I started with the French Vanilla hot chocolate, which was creamy and decadent to the point of almost being too rich. Imagine cocoa powder with melted vanilla ice cream heated in a mug with mounds of whipped cream on top. Starting a meal this way is dangerous, as one will need to save plenty of room for the massive selection of main courses. Finding myself smack in the middle of "America's Dairyland," I ordered the cheese blintz. The dish was reminiscent of a crepe, but served with syrup, my choice of fruit, and yet more whipped cream. The filling wasn't overly sweet, but heavy and satisfying. To be honest, this is an area without many good restaurants. The 45 Diner is doubtless the best option in town. My uncle, nephew and I took my brother to Bristol 45 for his birthday. It was a great choice. We all had something different but we each enjoyed what we ordered. Went for brunch with a group of five over the summer. The atmosphere was nice and the service was nice but the food was hit or miss for me. Everyone else loved what they got though so I think I just ordered the wrong stuff. Their cream of chicken soup as a starter was fantastic - my favorite part of the meal. The Buffalo chicken wrap and fries I got weren't as good so I think I should have chosen something else on the super huge menu. The people I went with who got breakfast dishes seemed to really like them, and the portions were huge enough that everyone took home leftovers. They served coke not pepsi and they were nice with the refills, at least over the summer they were. All of the booths had extra plexi glass strung up to the ceiling between the tables to help separate them a bit more during the pandemic, I thought that was a nice way to help keep people and their staff safe while not totally changing around the look of the place. read more

If you like overpriced, bland food delivered by servers without a nod to hygiene (hair in your food? yes, please!) then this is the diner for you! They cater to tourists and locals. Lots of cops, too. Don't be fooled by the full parking lot, it's just old locals sitting around half the day. I can go to a grocery and order bulk ingredients to make 12 omlettes for the price of one at the Bristol. And I won't fry an omlette until it turns into a brick. read more

I have had this on my list for a while and I finally got over for breakfast. The place looks like a local favorite spot with regulars who the servers know by name. The place looks like a retro 50s diner with vinyl records and pictures on the walls along with this plastic and chrome tables/chairs/booths. The menu has all the breakfast fare with my fav, the country fried steak which I have come to terms with the fact that it's all frozen crap now but I'm ordering it, Toast or pancakes is the breakfast deal here also. Even though the place was mostly empty my breakfast came incredibly fast and I realized why. The country fried steak was smothered in sausage gravy with sliced sausage links but not hot from out of the fryer with soggy breading, there's no way in five minutes from order to table this could be, WTF it's pre cooked at 7:10 am. Dam I realize that I'm not going to get fresh CFS anymore but can you please give me a crispy/fried/hot to order one at least please, I would have been pleased if took 15 if it was hot and crispy. The eggs were tasty with nice sunny/runny yokes. The sourdough toast was commercial but at least it's an option, buttery with that slight chew/pull. This golden crisp hash browns were good with that nice ratio of crisp vs cooked potatoes. Overall this place has great potential and some items were done well and some not so I would give them another visit but try something different for breakfast. read more

Very popular Establishment. We came here on our way back from our camping trip and we decided to stop by. I ordered the oatmeal blueberry pancakes with coffee and my boyfriend ordered the Italian sausage skillet. My oatmeal pancakes were delicious kind of dense with the oatmeal and my boyfriend's skillet with Italian sausage and Melted mozzarella cheese was delicious. We both enjoyed our breakfast very much and our waitress was extremely friendly and very attentive. If we ever head back this way we will definitely be stopping by for breakfast again. read more

Awful. I ordered delivery through a third party app. Thought I was getting blintzes, instead I was given crepes filled with cream cheese. Just plain cream cheese. I also paid $3 extra for strawberries, and they used the artificial syrupy kind, and the crepes were just covered in artificial red dye. Not happy. I also asked for utensils and was given one of those prepackaged sets...but there was no knife. Wish I could give zero stars. read more

I recently brekkied at Bristol 45 Diner with a client; we both enjoyed ourselves quite well. The diner is very clean and brightly lit; although it appeared full we were greeted warmly and immediately shown to a table. Our waitress was charming and friendly, and brought coffee and water very quickly; the coffee was strong and hot and she kept the cups filled! We didn't rush with our orders but we did not linger, either; our waitress did not 'hover' but she was very attentive. I ordered a skillet and it arrived piping hot and in almost no time at all. I couldn't believe it! WOW! It was very good although I wish it might have had more cheese; perhaps the next time I will ask for extra cheese. The skillet was quite a large portion; I could not finish my meal and so I asked the waitress for a box to take home. When paying our bill I was charged extra for using my credit card. Overall I enjoyed my experience and will plan to return. read more

Bristol 45 Diner is a great place to come to eat whether morning for breakfast or brunch, afternoon for lunch or evening for dinner. Every time I have been here the food was always very good. Menu has a large selection to choose from. For me today I went with the Roast Turkey with stuffing and jellied cranberries, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetable and the New England Clam Chowder soup with the tapioca pudding for dessert. Even though my food was very good, as everyone who dines out knows, no matter how good the food is what really makes the meal really enjoyable as well as memorable, is the type of service that you get from your waitress or waiter and their mood as well as the way they take care of you. I was fortunate tonight to have as my waitress the lovely young Lady Jordan. Not only was she very personable and outgoing, she was very attentive to myself and her other customers. It's always a pleasure when you're lucky enough to have someone like her and many establishments would be lucky to have someone like her on their staff. A friend took us here for dinner and the first thing I noticed was the menu was too big, so I knew this wasn't going to be good. I ordered one egg scrambled with cheese, hash browns and pancakes. Hubby ordered ribeye with eggs and hash browns. My scrambled egg was flat, the cheese I asked for that a normal person would assume you scrambled it into the egg was just the square piece of cheese laid on top of the egg. Hash browns were okay after I cut them all up and mixed some salt around in there, and I never use salt. Pancakes were kind of rubbery. Hubby's steak was not med rare at all, the edges were all curled up and greasy. The 50's theme they hit the nail on the head with the booths. Decor on the wall a giant zero. Most of the pictures looked like they found a pic on Google and printed it out. They have a cardboard jukebox. Might give this place a second chance if friends are going but I don't think I'll be getting a "scrambled" egg. read more

Fun decorations throughout the restaurant. Kind friendly workers. We went to just to eat desserts. I ordered a milkshake. It was served in a fun old style ice cream glass. They even brought the metal device they blended it in if I wanted more. My wife ordered a Sunday. It was much larger then she thought it was going to be. The place is a bit hard to find, but well worth it. We hope to try the breakfast items on our next trip. read more
