I haven't been to Bristol 45 in years, o thought it was time, while driving through town. I ordered a fried chicken dinner - $2 extra for a 2nd breast. Leftovers for tomorrow! Garden salad and garlic dressing. Wilted lettuce - ok, it was 630 pm but the salad dressing was gritty. There was a 20-minute wait for my chicken. The skin was golden brown, but it crumbled when i cut into it. When I looked at the beasts, they were so small, I thought i was getting thighs by mistake. There was about 2 forkfuls of meat on each piece. What a disappointment. My mom ordered chicken parmesan, (i didn't understand because its a diner) she said the sauce was ok but the chicken was over cooked and her garlic bread was soggy. Great food. Great service. Clean restaurant. I come here a lot and it doesn't matter if they are slammed, slow or in the middle, food is consistently great and kitchen times are always 7-10 minutes. read more

My family and I just enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Bristol 45. The food came out in record time, coffee was hot, fresh, tasty, and we never had to ask for a refill. Rose, our server, was quite possibly the best I've ever met! She anticipated our needs, wasn't overly solicitous but was warm welcoming and made our visit fantastic. She suggested pancakes, country fried steak, patty melt (we stuck with breakfast) and it was cooked hot very fresh and the gravy was homemade with chunks of sausage. Not pasty at all like biscuits and gravy can be sometimes. The food took 5 minutes, 7 tops, crispy hashbrowns and all. Five star diner experience, Rose made it an unforgettable experience! Exactly what a diner should be: casual, efficient, affordable and tasty! And they have free wi-fi! The menu has a nice selection of items and chorizo seems to be a speciality of theirs. I had an omelette with chorizo, salsa, onions and cheddar cheese that was large and delicious. Side of bacon hit the spot too. The other folks in my party were happy with what they got as well. Service got the job done. Not exactly the friendliest lady waiting on us I'm afraid, although it actually brought us a few laughs. No biggie. read more

This place has it all! Food is good and served in large portions. Staff is attentive and drink refills are given quickly and often. Their menu is a bit overwhelming (I think it's at least 8 pages!) but everything we've had from soup to Mac n Cheese to eggs and pancakes has been good. read more

I've been here a handful of times and have always had good service. The last time, the waitress was especially nice! We went on a Saturday evening but it wasn't too crowded. Our food was made very quickly. Three of us got the ribeye sandwich which was huge and delicious. Their fries were so good as was the cream of broccoli soup. I tried a few bites of the strawberry topped pancakes which were amazing! The prices are pretty reasonable. read more

We were super excited to try this place this morning around 7:15am before we went to pick up fresh just picked strawberries. The servers were friendly and the atmosphere and decor is awesome. Unfortunately the food is just ok and my ice tea tasted like what I imagine swamp water taste likes just one sip and eeehhhhhh....old, cloudy and just bad. I had the combo scrambled eggs that were ok, pancakes bacon and sausage. I order the sausage well done almost brunt were my exact words it came out just barely browned, bacon just ok, pancakes were again just ok - not good not bad. My hubby had a Mexican omelet with chorizo sausage and jalapeños, hash browns, and wheat toast and oj. He liked it. Servers were friendly, but the just ok food isn't worth the drive to Bristol if I want just ok breakfast places there are plenty in K town to pick from (sigh). read more

We visited Bristol 45 Diner for breakfast because of Restaurant week. Super fast service, and very friendly staff! We both had biscuits & gravy with eggs and choice of 2 bacon & 2 sausage links, or 4 of either. 2 words to start - HUGE PORTIONS! The sausage gravy was made with sausage links instead of patties or sausage crumbles, so not the best we've ever had, but certainly not the worst either. Egg and bacon were cooked perfectly, but my sausage links were slightly pink in the middle so that put me off a bit. Definitely will try again soon though! read more

Unorganized chaos is the best way to describe the dinner, if you have lots of time for lack luster service, than this is the place for you. The girls working the desk are slow and unorganized. They take just first names with no last name initials, so when they call you 3-4 people answer. Nicely done. Can't blame the kitchen for that. Also I think they didn't pay their gas bill because it was warmer outside than in. But that would cut into their parking problem? I guess if your looking for a good comfortable place where you can find seating it's probably best to go to somewhere in paddock lake or go to McDonald's or Burger King???? What a super place! Each time Im up near Bristol, I stop here. The burgers, wraps, fries are incredible. Breakfasts are super as well. Fun place to dine and relax. Super laid back atmosphere. The menu has a nice variety to choose from. The decor is super! Well worth the stop!! They really got me on my bday They brought out a car with a scoop of ice cream & whip cream in it. So cool! We found this restaurant while on our way to Whitewater, WI from Chicago. The service is super friendly, and it's a nice clean place decorated in the sort of campy 50's nostalgia that you might expect. What set it apart is that the food was very good, prepared well, and there were a lot of choices -- plus, the portions were very generous for the price. I have a sort of grudge against 50s nostalgia, but that's my issue. This is exactly the kind of restaurant that's so nice to find when your kids are grouchy and hungry after sitting in the car for a couple of hours. read more

Stopped for a quick bite to eat. The Chicago Dog wasn't made correctly. Red onion, no pickle, and no celery salt. Diced tomatoes instead of wedged. Should t be allowed to be called a Chicago Dog. The fries were beer battered but smelled and tasted of oil past it's prime. The mac and cheese and coffee were excellent, as was the service. read more

Eh... 2.5 stars for Bristol Diner. Next time, I'll try breakfast and see if we can improve. Came for dinner with my fiance's extended family, since it is close to his parents new place. Standard diner, large menu, comfort food, standard diner atmosphere. Food was luke-warm at best, and really really salty. Drinks come with a single refill. I ordered an Arnold Palmer (specifically asked first if it could be done - server said yes.) 1st one that came out was all iced tea, 2nd one was all lemonade. Bottom line, I ate because I was hungry, not because I really enjoyed it. Too bad. read more

We decided to stop here after picking strawberries nearby, and really enjoyed our visit. The menu is huge, but each of the three items we ordered was good. My wife loved her Santa Fe Chicken burger, and i would wholeheartedly recommend the guacamole burger I had. Usually large menus are a bad sign, but it didn't seem to be the case here. Our waitress was extremely nice, and very attentive, in spite of having several tables to take care of. OK place to eat with fun decor. You can order breakfast all day long and the pancakes are good. The shakes are fantastic and I like their soups as well! Dinner is sometimes hit or miss, so I usually stick to the breakfast menu (just my experience). They are usually busy when I go there, but they do a good job of finding us a table quite fast. Service is friendly and we usually end up getting the food much faster than expected. If you're in the area, stop by and enjoy some nice "breakfast for dinner" food at a 50's / 60's themed restaurant! read more

We both had a perfect breakfast at 2pm after flying the red eye to Chicago and then driving to Wisconsin. The hash browns, pancakes, omelettes and poached eggs are great. First time coming here! Nothing crazy to expect here, typical diner setting. I enjoyed the oldies decor though.. Very fun. My 1 year old was also entertained. I must say though.. WOW! The menu is huuuugeee. Took me a minute to decide but I decided on the beef stir fry. It came with soup/salad and I chose the soup. Both was very good! I've gotten stir fry from places similar to this and it's always 'okay' but this was good here. The beef wasn't fatty or chewy. Vegetables were nice and crunchy! The soup was chicken noodle which was good but rather small. The waitress was okay. Like.. Typical waitress who doesn't really seem to try to be friendly or anything. Just want to get the shift over with? I could be wrong but it's alright we all have those days. For now all I can say is AWESOMELY DELICIOUS!!!! Easily 5-Stars professional staff, treated like family. We've only been stopping by maybe 7-10 times a month the portions are huge the price very reasonable.
