First and foremost, a moment for those dang shrimp and crab egg rolls!! HOOOMYGOSH! I gotta have those again. Not even negotiable. So flavorful, even without the sauce - which is also amazing. The grouper sandwich was good. Seasoned well. Generous amount of fish. Fish and chips were good, although not as flavorful as the rest - really good. And the in-house made tartar sauce was perfect. The oyster po'boy - good flavor but not so generous. A few oysters for a huge roll was disappointing. Otherwise, cute little spot. A few bar stools with seating outside. The owner seemed kind and the chef seemed passionate. They were teaching someone, so I was patient. The egg rolls. The egg rolls. The egg rolls. Okay bye.

The reviews did not lie!!! This place is small but mighty. In usual Broad Ripple fashion, parking is a nightmare. However, if you can get past that, you're in for a treat!! Chef Mike was running the whole show (it seemed to be that way) and he is effective! He took our orders, made the food and checked in on us often. I love how fresh everything is! It's a bit pricey but well worth it!! I had the crab egg rolls which were absolutely sensational. The sweet chile dipping sauce paired perfectly. I would fight parking just for these!! I also had a pan seared grouper sandwich that was yummy. My friend had the chowder and said it was well seasoned and delicious. We loved it!! Seating is limited but there is some additional seating outside. Word on the street is that they are expanding (Westfield) so be on the lookout and go try them out!!

Tried BRSM. Fresh and I mean fresh seafood flown in daily! Like im in FL but in IN. They supply fresh seafood to many restaurants in the Indy area. You can get raw fish to go or cooked dinners like grouper, chowder, fish and chips and more. We tried the grouper sandwich and walleye dinner. I wish the coleslaw was a little bit more but over all was good. Would like to try the fish and chips next time. The selection seems to rotate based on what they can get and probably the season. Note: The cost is a little bit pricey but keep in mind this is fresh and NOT Long John Silvers.

Wow, our new fave place. We love seafood and so glad this place exist. Started with calamari and boy, lots of crispy tentacles, which made it very enjoyable. That's how any calamari should be served. Main meal were the fish tacos and Maine lobster roll. The tacos are served with whole fish meat which is how it should be, instead of fillers. The Maine lobster roll was overflowing with lobster meat. This has been an very enjoyable meal, Mike was very efficient and attentive considering he's the only one working. He even let us taste the fish chowder, which was very tasty. It's a very small place, it has one bar table to sit 3-4. It's mostly outdoor seating (which makes me wonder how it'll be during winter time). If coming with a bigger party, it's better to call the day before to let the chef prepare, in case of needing extra help. There's a bike rack across to park your bike. We definitely will be a regular to this place.

I met up with my friend today for a quick bite to eat, so we walked over to the Broad Ripple Seafood Market. I've only recently begun to discover some of the many small businesses that are located in "The Village", and this one made the list for places I wanted to try due to their high star-rating. The shop is small, but mighty. Quaint, but efficient. You get the point. There was a person being served at the counter and one other guest that walked in right before my friend and I. The man behind the counter helped them with their purchase and moved along to the woman ahead of us. She ordered several meals totaling nearly $90. I'm including this detail because I'm not sure whether or not it was a contributing factor to the employee's... umm demeanor moving forward. This will read like an AITA subreddit from this point forward! Lol Once she paid, he began preparing her meals. He then popped his head up and asked if we were all together. I replied letting him know that we were not and he then asked if we wanted "fish or food"? I responded "Food." I think this stressed him out, because in essence, this was a "busy rush" for the one-man show. He sighed heavily and asked what we wanted. I gave him our orders: Boston-Style Fish and Chips for me and Crab Cakes for my friend. I asked what made the fish and chips "Boston- Style" and he said "recipe from up North" which I found to be less than helpful. So I re-worded the question. He then explained that they use a Boston lager. He said he'd ring us out momentarily. When it was time to pay he asked if I wanted any sauces or drinks. I said I'd like tartar sauce and would be purchasing a Mandarin Jarritos (w/ the proper Spanish pronunciation). After repeating myself a few times, I just raised the bottle to show him "this soda". I took pictures and checked out their other offerings until it became unbearably smoky (for me). So my friend asked if she could pay because we wanted to wait outside (we were dining in... well, outside on the patio). He told her it would be just a moment to which she replied "it's very smoky" and this man said "it's from the fryer". Now, I don't know if he was being smartellic, has a very dry sense of humor, or something else, but no freaking duh! Once we made it outside, we sat talking and he came out to retrieve a portion of fries from the freezer. He yelled over to us "did you get napkins and ketchup?" I ignored him, as I was on a phone call. On his way back, he repeated himself. I called back, "no, but we'll get them. " When I came in to get them, he stared me down. It was super uncomfortable and slightly maddening. Like dude, you just yelled for me to come do this. I held up the napkins and ketchup..."I'm just getting napkins and ketchup." I walked over to the counter to look at the business cards there and asked him if he was the owner. He replied that he was the manager, Mike. I tried to make small talk, but Mike kept making snarky remarks. He never once said I'll bring the food out when it's done. It was my first time here. I left him to his work. I was headed back in to check on our food when he rushed through the door with our meals as I held it open. I said "Perfect timing. " and after a brief delay, he said "thanks for holding the door". He later returned asking if the food had been worth the wait. Maybe he felt rushed, but we'd told him earlier on that we weren't in any hurry. Anywho... the food. Friend's crab cakes were plated beautifully. The flavor was good, but she said that she wished they'd had less cornmeal/ cornbread filler and more "lovely lady lumps" aka lumps of crab meat! Lol The fish had a light and airy batter, was fried to a golden, delicious hue and had the flakiest texture. The tartar sauce was extremely flavorful. The chips were crisp and salty on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Everything came out hot and fresh. For that reason, I shall return.

It was our first time here- this place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. We both got the grouper sandwich- absolutely delicious. Couldn't ask for more from a grouper sandwich- fresh, full of fish, big tomato, lettuce and tartar sauce. Perfection- he warned us as he cooked our fish that we would be back, he wasn't wrong. Can't wait to come back to this little gem! I'll have to come back to try the lobster roll Limited seated inside but they have some outdoor tables as well. Highly recommend this place!

As a seafood lover, I was anxious to try this little locally owned seafood market in Broad Ripple after seeing glowing reviews on Yelp. The shop is tiny and immaculate, filled with fresh seafood, a small selection of local meats and cheeses, and upscale seasonings for preparing the fresh seafood. Seafood is available to take home and cook or they serve a number of in-house made options to eat outside on their patio or take to go. Their story was told in the Indy Star and hangs framed on the wall. Turns out, they provide fresh seafood to several high-end restaurants in the area. I ordered a cup of the seafood chowder, which was wonderfully spicy and thick, packed with various seafood, including salmon, and potatoes. This is one of the best seafood chowders that I've had (maybe the best). My husband had the Fish and Chips. The fish was hand breaded and fresh! The generous helping of steak fries were delicious. We sat out on the pet friendly patio at a shaded table and dined al fresco. There was one manager during our visit. He took orders, cooked and delivered the food. He came out to check on us, chatted a bit and encouraged us to try some fresh seafood to take home. There is a small dedicated parking area with a handicapped space. They are located on a quiet street less than a block off the Monon Trail. Broad Ripple Seafood Market is must visit and worth the drive to Broad Ripple.

Okay, let me cast my line by saying--I reel-y don't write reviews. Oh sure, I've penned a few, but we're talking maybe a school of five. I cod investigate where those are, but I'm afraid I'll flounder trying to get back here. I think I'm getting old? But don't tell my brain--it's still swimming in its twenties. Anyway. I'm rambling, like a mackerel out of water. For those with attention spans shorter than a guppy's memory, here's the bait: The Broad Ripple Seafood Market serves the best blackened grouper sandwich I've ever had in my life. There. I said it. And I'll swordfish-fence anyone who disagrees. KC, the magical mermaid running the ship over there? A total delight. If kindness were currency, she'd own half the ocean. I don't know what else to say. Reviews are usually just people carping on. But this sandwich? It's nuts. Better than anything I've had in Florida. Florida! How is that even possible? Unless they're farming grouper in the Broad Ripple Canal.* I've lived here for ages, and I'm embarrassed I just now discovered this hidden pearl. Don't make the same mis-steak. And if your taste buds do a happy little jig after that first bite, go ahead and call the shop back. Let KC know. She'll appreciate the ripple effect. *They did not get the grouper from the Broad Ripple Canal. We checked. That water's seen things. PS: I'm not saying there's something fishy in the coleslaw, but it's got me hooked. Creamy, tangy, addictive--it's coleslaw so good it should be illegal. **Probably not actually illegal. Please don't call the FDA. Oh, I heard reviews with photos get more attention. I don't have a photo of my sandwich, but here's a nice watermelon on my counter.

Pros: 1- Location- Broad Ripple Village ~ adequate parking, outdoor patio available 2- It's a vibe 3- Excellent friendly service 4- the food is fresh and fabulous Cons: none So ... I'm glad I stopped in. I thought this place was a fish market only, I didn't realize it was a restaurant too! My meal was perfection, I'll take fresh seafood over frozen always. Open 11-6 daily except on Monday. I'll be back! Keep up the great work, Mike

We popped into the market for the first time this afternoon for lunch, and wow - cannot believe we waited to long to visit!! We'll be back for sure, chef Mike took wonderful care of us and even let us try a sample of the seasonal soup while he was chef'ing up our lunch. It's the perfect market feel with amazingly fresh seafood and other grab and go products. The blackened fish tacos were made with queen snapper over fresh slaw and a remoulade sauce. 10/10. So incredibly fresh and homemade deliciousness!! These are by far and away the best fish tacos in Indy. My husband had the seafood chowder and wished he would have had a bigger bowl! Will be back....soon! We sat outside but there are a few (3-4) little bar stools to stay and enjoy. Thanks for making our first time a good one, Mike!!

Ask the Community - Broad Ripple Seafood Market

Can I buy wild caught buffalo fish?

Possibly. Just depends what fresh fish they had flown in for that day

Anything on the menu not seafood? I love sea food and husband does not. He's all turf no surf.

We have Fischer Farms Meat now at our market...We dont have any menu items at this time that are not seafood on menu. But you can purchase Ribeye, strip, Hamburger etc..

This farmers market was well organized and they had a lot of different vendors here. I did notice that you must get here early because by 11am some vendors are running out of items. There was this corn vendor and that line was so long but I did notice that he sold out by 11:30an. People were talking about how sweet the corn is from there. I more so came to the farmers market to come window shop but I did end up buying a lemonade and some ice cream. The lemonade was very refreshing and delicious. I was happy I bought the lemonade and the price was not bad at all. It was $7 for a nice size. I also ended up seeing the dog store at the event so of course I could not leave without buying my dog some dog treats which she really enjoyed them. I will definitely be coming back here to this market. It is in great location also.

The fresh corn line stayed long until the moment they sold out. I was thirsty and the lemonade from the popcorn and lemonade stand was tasty. I will definitely be back to provide them with repeat business. SPOILER ALERT: Overall, this was a great farmers' market, but there were way too many dogs. I also noticed several dogs relieving themselves mid-walk, right on the concrete, which I found pretty gross, especially with so much food around. Germs can easily spread in that environment. On top of that, I have a severe allergy to pet dander. Many people don't realize how this can affect others when they let their dogs wander instead of keeping them close on a leash. I grew up with dogs and know there are dog parks, but I wish people would leave their pets at home in the air conditioning when visiting places with food. This is the reason for a lower rating. Anyways, I will return early to get fresh fruit, corn, and the lemonade.

This is what I'd call a neighborhood Kroger. While there's a bigger, brighter, and better Kroger at…read more71st and Binford, this Kroger adequately serves this neighborhood with a couple apartment complexes nearby and a rather large residential area that surrounds it. This is not a Kroger you go to because you want to - this is a Kroger you go to because it's convenient. I used to frequent this Kroger more often, however, as of late I tend to find myself either at Target down the street a bit or Meijer (which is the closest to my home). However, I found myself in this area recently and I do like some of the Kroger-branded products. So, I decided to stop in. This Kroger is in a shopping center that is really only about half full. Kroger definitely dominates it, though in the outer lot there's an Arby's, Sahm's Place, and a Kroger gas station. This Kroger has had some renovations, however, it still feels a little run down to me. While smaller than some locations, it does have most of the basics including a pharmacy (with outside walk-up), bakery, pickup/delivery, and vaccines are available here with evening hours. As is true of any Kroger location I've seen, there are accessible parking spots, automatic doors, and a general commitment to accessibility. The interesting thing with the parking here is more related to the customers - while it's always true that people use accessible spots who don't need them (or have the ID), I've experienced an extraordinary number of times here when people park on the blue-striped spots (which is illegal). A number of times, I've had to wait for someone to come out to either move their car or leave. It happens on occasion anywhere, but here it's actually pretty common. For those of us who are wheelchair users who drive, it's particularly troubling as people typically do it to the driver's side. It's actually one of the reasons I stopped coming to this location - it happened a lot and Kroger did nothing about it. Kroger is really just your average grocery store. They're great about hiring people with disabilities - that's a huge plus. However, having gotten used to going elsewhere I have to say it feels dirtier, less friendly, and more like I just want to get in/out. I also find some of the prices here are considerably higher than other nearby options. The carts here are also hit-and-miss. As a wheelchair user, I need a cart that rolls (preferably one of the shorter carts). Some do here. Some don't. I have an attitude with Aldi so don't go there (Ask me sometime. I'll share the story). I love Target, however, Target has higher prices and a limited selection. Meijer is generally a solid option. As a side note, I can use Shipt for any of the main three (Kroger, Target, or Meijer), though only Target offers store pricing of the three (which makes sense since Target owns Shipt). This visit was okay. I was looking for the Kroger Rewards brochure so I could get a new card (and get their card-only discounts - for the record, I hate that.). I couldn't find them anywhere, but the cashier did end up having one. I actually switched carts half-way through because I couldn't handle pushing the beat up cart I had. The aisles were a bit more crowded than usual. Again, this is your average Kroger and the experience I had was the definition of average. Would I come back again? Yep, it's convenient. Would I go out of my way to do so? Not a chance. I'll intentionally go to a Target because I enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly employees - here? Get in. Get out. Get done. If that's all you need, this Kroger is fine.
