Fast quick service. The burger was great and the onion rings were hot. Only wish I'd brought someone with me to share the rings.

I currently live in Oregon, but had come to the area where I grew up for family business. Admittedly, the time difference has always been very challenging for me whenever I return east, so I forget to eat until it's usually just about or past closing time for most joints. The staff didn't bat an eye when I sheepishly saddled in 30min to closing; hoping to not go to bed hungry...again. I was graciously served a juicy, flavorful burger with the warm, southern?/Appalachian? charm I don't realize I miss til I'm back home & it's right in front of me. The interior is comfy & no-nonsense. Don't change a thing folks!

They have a great choice of Craft Beer on tap! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The service is good. The food is good. The patties are pre-formed and you can choose from a variety of cheese to have on your burger. The toppings on the burger were very fresh. The burgers were topped with nice leaf lettuce and a red tomato. I was very pleased with the tomato! It comes with a pickle on the side too! They make homemade potato chips to go along with your burger. There are several items you can choose from to go with your burger in lieu of the homemade chips such as fries, tots, onion rings, etc. Since the fries are not hand cut, I prefer the tater tots. They were very good. Wishing the river would consider hand-patted burgers and hand-cut fries with options to have on the side such as a special signature sauce, aioli, parmesan topping, truffle topping, etc. This would knock it out of the park!

I've passed by this spot a thousand times and never thought to go in--tucked, as it is, in the…read morecorner of a large parking lot and abutted by big box stores, it didn't necessarily call out to me. Well thank goodness I finally decided to nip in to 3rd Generations Grill last evening for a hot meal and a cold beer after a long day. I was quite happy with the experience. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but the dining room is large, open, and features a nice bar at the back with a decent selection of draft beer (sadly no dark options for the porter- and brown ale-loving crowd) and sundry spirits. The walls are plastered with rock & roll posters (they get extra credit for the Ziggy Stardust poster on the left side of the room as you enter) and the space is clean and well lit without being antiseptic and blazing. I think with a larger crowd (it was a bit sparse on my visit) the room could be a bit loud, so if quiet is your thing maybe plan for a low traffic time. After negotiating a workaround for the QR code-based online menu (I deduct a full star if that's my only option for ordering because I think it's poor service), I ordered the Generator burger from my very friendly, helpful, and service-forward bartender. What's great is I told him what I was looking for and he competently guided me to one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Double smashed patty, double bacon, cheese, onion. I added lettuce and tomato because I want to dupe myself into believing I had a vegetable that evening. Comes with side of their hand-cut fries and is a hearty portion of well prepared food. When I say this is a two-handed-eat-over-the-plate-like-a-caveman burger, that's exactly what it is. Thing is a monster of beautiful beef and bacon and cheese (sorry vegans, try again). Oh, and the food came out in good time--not fast food, but good food fast. I have a minor quibble with the fries which, while hand cut and nicely seasoned, were a bit under and kinda soggy. Not inedible, but could be better. I think if they blanched the fries before the final cook they'd achieve a crispier outside with that nice cushy potato centre you want in a French fry. But that's the only quibble. Service: six stars Food: four stars Ambiance: four stars Value: five stars I'll be going back again, for sure. No photos this time because I am a pig man and I tend to eat half my plate before my brain says, "hey! Yelp review inbound!"

The bartender was also server and was very friendly. He is why it is 4 stars. The food was pretty good. My burger was cooked well and the fries were very good. Dad enjoyed his fried shrimp. Little did I know, I was about to have a Beer and Music.! I saw HAPP Coffee, (my favorite local craft coffee) But they were closed. Shortly after was Basic City Beer. I rode down the curvy driveway and parked in the Premium Scooter Spacing reserved for the big boys on music nights. The Experience: As soon as I walked in, one of the bartenders came around the bar and showed me his tattoo of The Used, coincidentally the same band t shirt I was wearing. We exchanged names and Trystan poured me up a Basic Ought Dark(yet light). He told me BuckCherry was playing at The Foundry (connected to the brewery). Me being an event videographer, I asked the ticketing booth at the Foundry if they needed anyone to shoot. Due to Artist Contracts I was not allowed. I headed back to the bar and this time, Cayla served me up The Lady (6th Lord Variant). Service so far had been great! I'm drinking on my Beer and one of the Foundry management comes and tells me there was a free ticket someone left at the counter that couldn't make it. I could have it but couldn't use any fancy equipment. I shoot on my IPhone and I was absolutely wowed with such genuity from this place. Thank you all for such a memorable time in Waynesboro.

We were in the foundry area, which seems like it would be a fun spot when there is live music. There's a stage and lights and a bar.
