    Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger

Our first time coming here for lunch. I had a hamburger and husband had an Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger. Portions are very generous and I had to clamp down on my burger to bite it. I found the burger to be a bit on the dry side though, even with French dressing and other condiments on the burger. I ordered a small order of fried zucchini to go with the burger, which was good. We had water to go with the lunch and it tasted a bit odd-had to ask for lemon to mask the taste. The cost was $30.55 before tax and tip. Service was good. The wait staff answered our questions and were friendly. There are only 3 tables inside and 5 mostly shaded tables outdoors. It was a hot day and I was hot throughout lunch .

We took a quick day trip to Big Bear Lake to catch a little snow before the big storm and asked some locals for food recommendations. First question they asked us: "Do you like burgers?" Yes. Immediate yes They sent us to Broadway Café, and it did not disappoint. It's just past the Village, right off the main road by the lake, with easy parking on site. There's a small outdoor patio (great for pets or groups) and a cozy indoor space (only like 3 or 4 tables inside). The staff was incredibly friendly, especially the girl at the register, who was such a gem. You can see the chef in the back cooking, which is always a good sign. We ordered two burgers and fries to share, and wow... the burgers were HUGE and super filling. The fries were freshly made and hit the spot with a little salt and ketchup. Best part? We spent under $30 for both of us. Affordable, delicious, and great quality. Fun Broadway-themed décor too, especially if you love theater vibes. Highly recommend if you're visiting Big Bear and craving a solid burger spot.

Amazing first experience here. Very cozy atmosphere, super friendly people, and the food was really delicious. You can tell they care about both the service and the vibe of the place. This was my first time visiting Broadway Cafe, and I'll definitely be stopping by every time I'm in the area for business or nearby. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to coming back again.

I thought everything was pretty good, but I get the most basics of breakfasts (scrambled eggs with a side of avo). I did try their blueberry pancake which was yummy! Hubby got a salad with chicken and a burger the two times we've been. He was like it was "okay." Service is friendly, but slow, but I think it's just the mountain-lake vibe, a lot of restaurants in BB seem to be lacking the urgency us impatient city folks are used to.

We drove by this place and decided to give it a shot... They only have three table tables on the inside but they have outside seating and a deck. It has a really great vibe and ambience inside with very friendly staff and really excellent food I had a bagel sandwich very good! Vegetarian options too. Highly recommend

Staff is super friendly. Came originally for the lattes... the house made syrups are the best, but they are seasonal! Comes in a huge cup. Breakfast burrito was sopo good esp with the green salsa it comes with. The pancakes are also really fluffy and tasty with the butter, didn't even need all the strawberry sauce, but good if you're a sweet tooth. Will be back

Everything from the food, the vibes, the hospitality 100/10!! A must stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Will definitely be coming back.

Food was yummy and filling, though nothing exceptional. Inside the restaurant is small and cozy, and they also have outside dining. It's a great place to stop on your way to or from snow tubing. I'd recommend!

Brought the stroller in without any trouble, which is always a win. The atmosphere is what gets you first. There's a ton of cool decor to take in, and the menu has music-themed names for everything -- a fun detail if you're paying attention. Food was delicious and the beers on tap are a great selection to pair with it. Service was attentive and the vibe is comfortable for families without feeling like a kids' spot. It's just a good place, period. Definitely coming back.

Everything from the bathroom to the lobby to the little dining room is really tricked out nicely. This place probably is more of a bar for beer and they happen to do food also. In the indoor dining room they have four televisions with the latest sporting events going. When we were there, two of the TVs were tuned to the pre-All-Star game, one was the NBA Summer league and the final one was to some Spanish station that had some type of soap opera /talk show going on. The wife ordered the declaration burger and I ordered the Californication burger. They both came with french fries. The one thing we both noted was the cold buns. This really immediately made the burger not that appealing. Both burgers were cooked to order. I can talk directly to mine. It was a good burger with an Ortega green chili on it piece of cheese two piece of bacon and shredded lettuce and some diced tomatoes. Unfortunately having a cool doughy bun on a hot burger just didn't do it. The wife complained of the exact same thing. The french fries were hot, but they were nothing to write home about. No seasoning or anything like that. They were not very busy when we walked in three tables going. The service was slow because our server was talking to some friend at the end of the bar who appeared to be an employee on break. They have a great concept and with a little effort and attention to detail the food could be outstanding. With all the competition going on in the village, we were really looking for so much more. We thought we were gonna be getting a Great light designer burger, that really wowed us with taste. But that didn't happen. Might give it a try again. We're making a point to try to hit every single place in the village and the surrounding area.

My boys had bacon burgers, and I ordered the chicken, pulled pork, and cheddar jalapeño sausages. It was all really good. The Mac N Cheese and Coleslaw were very tasty too. We were all very happy with our food. Picnic bench, patio seating only. My only complaint would be finding it was a little tricky. No signs out front on the building. You're fine, its also for patrons of the Cookshak. Next follow along around the side of the lodge into the backyard area and you'll come across a concrete patio w benches and tables. Order from the window and take your food to eat out on the back patio. The menu is different from what you can find on these Yelp menu photos so expect the prices to be a lot higher than two years ago, but prices are way higher everywhere from two years ago. I ordered a one item plate w two sides thinking I might not have ordered enough food but boy was I wrong. The sides portions are huge, the cornbread is huge, and the meat filled me up. The beans here are a spicy chili bean type that went great on top of the corn bread. The slaw was very good and the mac n cheese was reminiscent of kraft mac n cheese only w/ the addition of pepper and a sharper cheese flavor giving it a memorable taste. The potato salad was decent, potatoes prolly coulda been cooked a tiny bit longer but the rest of the salad tasted good. The star of the show was the brisket. You will get a slice or two near the end that might be cooked thru a little too much for my liking but the majority of what you get is melt in your mouth deliciousness. The honey mustard sauce they offer is perfect to dip the well done slices in but the juicy slices go great unassisted. I originally picked this spot because the other popular bbq spot nearby didn't open until 3 but I am glad I picked this spot because the food left me satisfied for the rest of the day and left me w a smile on my face afterwards.
