Love this place for breakfast. Had the Hoss. It never disappoints. 3 eggs, hash browns, sourdough toast and a big hamburger patty. Wifey had the lil Joe, one egg, bacon, hash browns and 1/2 of a sourdough waffle. Sourdough waffles are amazing. Service is amazing. They're all very nice and attentive. If it's the weekend prepare to wait for a seat and parking is limited and can be a challenge. Just keep circling.

Service is slooooowww, but the large plate size and flavor made my hangry man baby quite content. The sourdough pancake was delicious, and my basic scrambled eggs and side of avo were good (red salsa is AMAZING), but the chefs kiss was my hubby's "chainsaw and eggs" plate. He has commented at least ten times how much he liked it. Whew, he was hangry so crisis adverted! Service though, very very slow. We had to get up to go get coffee or napkins, but no biggie.

Last girls trip to Big Bear, and my friend raved about the green chilaquiles breakfast from Lumberjack Cafe, so we rolled out of bed early on Saturday and rolled into the cafe at 9:00 am. I spotted corned beef hash on the menu and you know me I couldn't resist! Corned beef hash can be a gamble but this one was a slam dunk with crispy edges, tender center and entirely delicious. My eggs over easy were a tad runny but the hash more than redeemed them. But the real showstopper? The green chilaquiles. The salsa was... unexplainably magical. Bright, zingy, and just different enough to make you wonder if they bottled this stuff in fairy dust. I wish they sold the sauce separately so I could bring a jar home and pretend I made a chef's kiss at home. By the time we finished eating, the restaurant was packed and people were waiting for tables proof that great breakfast travel far and fast. Bottom line: I'd drive back to Big Bear just to eat here again. Breakfast is my jam, and Lumberjack Cafe is now my jam's new best friend. Would I recommend? Absolutely! If you love a solid breakfast lineup, a surprising salsa, and crispy hash, Lumberjack Cafe is your spot.

We came in on a Sunday morning around 10, we didn't have to wait long to be seated. It's very small inside. This place needs better customer service, one of the girls sat us at our table and literally just dumped the utensils and menus on our table without saying a word. Our waitress was great tho, she was very lovely and accommodating, actually communicated with us. The food was good, 8/10 The eggs and hash brown were my fave, they were very buttery (not so healthy I guess) My son got the breakfast burrito and it was huge, he really liked it, but was only able to eat half.

Great food and customer service. Parking is easy. We got seated right away on a Monday during January, with a party of 9. We sat at two different tables, but we didn't mind. The food came out pretty fast and everyone enjoyed their meal. Nothing fancy. Small town diner vibes. I would recommend this place. I give it a 8.5 out of 10.

Great service and good food! Nice seating outside to enjoy the weather during the summer.

Loved this place! Was a local for over 5 years and regret not visiting sooner. We walked over with our large dog. Kids driving their little car(great parking for it ). We sat in the front patio. Got a tuna melt and a breakfast dish. Koda our great Pyrenees's even got some eggs. Everything was sooo yummy! Michelada was on point. The tuna melt! I've never had such a perfect tuna melt ever. The kids absolutely devoured the chocolate chip pancakes. Owners are great people too. They work hard to maintain their place in the community and it shows. They constantly have their regulars.

I believe we got two pies that were two different berry mixes among other things. My husband wolfed both down because he ate one and loved it so much that he had to eat the other one. Mind you, my husband has grown up eating pies his whole life. His grandma used to make them from scratch all the time when she was still alive. So pies are a very sentimental and favorite food of his. I got the chicken pot pie, absolutely delicious. I'm obsessed with chicken pot pies and this one super hit the spot. Hubs is so very sad that we don't live close to the Pickles at all. We just happened to be in Big Bear on vacation and decided to stop by to grab some pies to take home. Our cousin was with us and got one slice to share with her parents and they ate it all. It wasn't enough. We all wish we had more. We'll definitely be back when we're back in town. Shoutout to Mr & Mrs. Pickles, your love and craft really shows in your food. Mr. Pickles was so nice too! He was taking the orders and tending the register. It's also such a cute little whimsical cottage, I love it!

I don't like pie crust, but I love Pickles crust. I don't like fruit pies, but I love Pickles fruit pies, especially with berries. While you wait your turn, review the chalk board for the still available pies or slices. If you're a first timer, buy a different slice for everyone in your party and share, share, share. Now the best part. If you've lasted this long in this review, check if there are chicken pot pies still available. If so buy an extra, because you'll want another one the day after you eat the first. They're described as "one large serving" but we find one six inch pie is good for two servings. The other pot pies are good too, but the chicken are flown in from heaven. You're welcome.

We decided to partake in an afternoon treat for our toddlers and ourselves and walked into OJ's to discover the biggest donuts we have ever laid eyes on! We purchased a glazed sprinkled donut the size of a a frisbee as well as a couple apple fritters (cause you know a solid donut shop makes a good fritter)...now truth be told I have never been a fan of the puffy glazed donuts, they just don't have enough umf or gusto to them, I like the cakes ones...but, I took a bite of the giant sprinkled sugar bomb and it is the best glazed donut I've ever had! The kids absolutely loved, and we have enough leftover for a week of treats! The apple fritter is delicious as well, OJ's knows how to make a donut! Not only is the product good, but the service was so so friendly and warm! They even threw in some donut holes to add to the aesthetic appeal of our Giant donut! Prices are par for the course and they offer plenty of other drinks and flavors as well. We will be back very soon to try new flavors!
