We stopped in here for lunch on a weekend getaway to Big Bear. This place is so damn good! It's a simple menu, done really well! I ordered a tuna melt that was one of the best I've ever had. Hubby ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich & his only complaint was that it's messy to eat! The fries were good but the tater tots are the way to go. They're really tasty. Expect to wait a little bit but they'll keep your drinks filled. Service was really good. Patio is dog friendly too! We'll be back on our next trip to Big Bear! read more

Nice quick spot for breakfast! They serve a basic pancake breakfast on Sundays with bacon, eggs and sausage but have a full menu for lunch and breakfast other days of the week. We had great service from who I assume was the manager/ owner! read more

This is such a quaint cafe. The man taking our order, presumably the owner, was very welcoming and put up with our picky order with great patience, even when they got it wrong. The burgers are good but fall apart easily (slippery bun), the meat didn't seem the highest or quality, but the tater tots were perfect. The next order and review will be of one of their award winning Chilli products. The price is nice and withe the combos big enough to share (if you're both not starving but just in a good hungry place) it's a great choice. 4 stars for the personality of the owner! read more

I live in Riverside and this evening I got a craving to see some snow... So my boyfriend headed up to big bear and after driving around for over an hour we were hungry. This was actually kind of far from where we ended up but I'm super glad we went. We just got two burgers and fries which were pretty good but the best part about this place is that the two guys working there were super friendly and personable. They kept trying to strike up a conversation and offer us refills and joke about my boyfriends hair lol. Definitely would come back next time I'm up the mountain! read more

The owner seemed nice but the guy at the cashier was very rude. Upon entry he looked at us, didn't smile or even say hi (we were the only customers at that time). He noticed my wife's hijab and just looked at us while we were trying to decide what to order. When we asked him about an order. he rudely listed what comes in that order in a very quick manner like he was saying please take your business elsewhere. I can tell by the " we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone." A very welcoming sign just by the door. I assumed the guy was having a bad day & had to show up to work, but once other customers walked in, he greeted them with enthusiasm and told them about the specials. Went to Big Bear for a Mini Vacation. Ended up finding this place in Yelp. Great burgers and friendly owners. It could get a little hectic during the lunch hour but it is worth the wait. SO delicious! We were in town for a short weekend getaway and at 7pm on a Friday night most places were closed. Found this place on yelp, and walked right in. Definitely on the small size, but it's cozy! The employees were very friendly, food came out pretty quick (it's made fresh so I don't mind waiting a few!), and tables were clean. I got the cheeseburger combo.. YUM. I know, a basic cheeseburger doesn't sound that exciting but man was it GOOD. Not greasy at all, it didn't taste fatty and it didn't sit in my stomach like a brick. Fries were piping hot and tasted just as good. I would definitely go back and try another item!
