Finding a good and reliable, trustworthy service station is one of the Holy Grails of moving to a new area. Broadway Estates is precisely that place. I've been coming here for about a year now since I moved back to the area. I've brought in my 2011 Ford F150 pickup truck as well as my 1966 Chevy Impala convertible, and I've found their speed, honesty, quality, and attentiveness to be top notch. They completely replaced the engine in the Impala and did it not only promptly, but also with ready and facile communication back and forth during the process. I made an appointment, took my F150 in for an oil change and an error message on the screen (battery saver) . After discussing the problem with the error message with Jim, he was able to find a fix immediately. Got my truck back less than 4 hours after dropping it off. Trustworthy, reliable, and reasonably priced! I've been here on two occasions in the past year--first time to repair my steering rack and recently for my 90,000 mile maintenance service. During both visits, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A service request was placed through the website and I received an appointment confirmation within 1 business day. Mechanics Jim and Mike were transparent and kept me informed throughout the process. They were honest about what work was needed and repairs I could hold off on. At pick-up, Chuck was kind enough to show me the old parts and explain the work that was completed on my car. This shop truly has your best interest at heart and I am a customer for life. I've been a customer for over two decades and spent a great deal of money on repairs and service. When the ownership and technicians changed there was a change in attitude and the customer service once received began to diminish. The most recent incident involved them ruining one of my front tires during a routine oil change. It was an accident and they offered to replace the tire. The tire did not arrive, as promised, in time so I was unable to use my vehicle for a scheduled trip. When I came back a week later the tire had arrived. I asked the technician (Mike) if he was concerned about safety by only replacing one tire. He commented that "it wasn't ideal." I asked it there was a safety concern and he developed and attitude and said, "I can't replace $1200 of tires." With that I told him to replace the tire and left. The customer service has declined but more importantly, the concern for customer safety seems to be gone. Regrettably, so has my patronage to this business. read more

Small town, home-town service. Honest and thorough work. I am new to Denver, and had the luck to just drop by this full-service station! I do not know all that much about cars; I quit working my car when catalytic converters came onto the scene. But I do know about ersatz service departments up selling you repairs you do not need - That does NOT happen here! These guys actually build their business base on the old-fashion concept of a reputation for quality service at a reasonable price. I can not imagine going anywhere else. read more

These guys are so good it's almost unreal. I would put money on them beating anyone on price, quality, AND communication. (1) You'll deal directly with the master mechanic who's working on your car rather than a "service manager". (2) You can trust them to be honest about what does and doesn't need to be done. (3) They won't gouge you with weird charges for things like bolts and 10% "disposal" fees... Christian Brothers, which does solid work, quoted me $5k for a job they did for under $3k. They spent about a dozen hours: completely took out the engine block, changed out the water pump and timing chains, all within three business days. Oh ya... the mechanic also called me several times before the scheduled appointment to make sure he had all the parts ready to go. And he called half a dozen times while working to keep me informed. Compared to shops like AutoNation where your vehicle will sit for a week before anyone bothers to look at it, there should actually be a different word for what these experts are. It's not fair to call them both mechanics. read more

Paul the owner is a good, helpful person. I went there for advice because I had a problem, truck wouldn't start, and a problem with the side terminals on the battery. He told me what I could do to get cables off of terminals, He was friendly, spent time with me, told me what I needed to do. He treated me with respect. When I had to go buy a couple of parts, he referred me to a place, he called up the auto parts location, and when I got there, the parts were waiting for me. When I finally got the cables hooked up, I went back to Conoco, he looked it over for me, got on it right away, told me a couple mistakes and didn't charge me. THIS is GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I've been trusting this place with my cars since I began driving in 1999. Paul and Tim and the other mechanics do a great and honest job. I took my car in last month (June 2014) because I had never had any brake service since I bought it and figured it was due for some brake maintenance. I don't know much about cars and basically left the car with Tim and said I think the brakes need maintenance, whatever it needs you can do. For a dishonest mechanic, this would be a dream. They could practically do anything and charge me and I wouldn't have questioned it. Tim took a look at my brakes and called me back and said that they were in good shape and didn't need maintenance at this time. I have never felt cheated or taken advantage of here and believe they do a reputable and honest job. I have had various repairs here over the years and never had a follow up problem based on the repair. read more

As a girl in her 30's with no knowledge of cars, I have been burned by mechanics in the past who I think prayed on my lack of knowledge and sold me on unnecessary and costly repairs. And when I say burned, I mean I ended up dropping thousands into repairs on my old Subaru and it bit the dust a few weeks later. And since I have terrible luck, I then bought a new (used) car and a week after purchasing it, the engine started smoking. The car turned out to have significant problems (head gasket needed to be replaced, brakes, turbo problems etc). I was in the neighborhood and my sister (who takes her car to Broadway Estates) called up Tim and he took a look at it right away and diagnosed the head gasket problem. I got that fixed and guess what? The check engine light went on! By this time I was an emotional wreck and getting no help from the broker who sold me the car. I took it to Broadway Estates and Jim did a complete check of everything and itemized the repairs that needed to be made and provided them to the broker. Not only that but Jim gave me great advice about how to negotiate with the broker (and as a bonus gave me therapy while I was crying on the phone;)). These guys are super friendly, honest, and helpful. I have been taking my car here ever since. In fact I drive all the way from NE Denver just to get an oil change here! I wouldn't trust my car with anyone else. My whole family takes their cars here. I really can't say enough good things about this place and the people that work here. read more
