Unfortunately, the original cat converter got stolen from my garage at the apartment complex I live in unexpectedly even with a shield on. It took him less than 3 days to get the job done too. This was done about 3 months ago and my car is working well as it did before the incident. Went to have a new muffler installed a flowmaster 10 series , when I picked up the truck after the install I looked up underneath to find out it was not a flowmaster , John the owner tried to convince me that it was until I went underneath again and took a picture where it clearly says street flow on the muffler! , I don't appreciate being lied to! he charged $113 just for the muffler which is more than what a flowmaster 10 series retails for, I would not trust this place ever again and I'm going to have another shop replace this muffler as it is not what was agreed on. read more

Having head aches while driving - Check! Weird Smell of gas and exhaust in the car while sitting in traffic - Check! My car sounds like its popping pop corn - Check! I have and exhaust leak People! My boss and I were sitting in traffic one day and she says, "Ivy haven't you been complaining of having head aches every day?" Yeah, I have been. "Well, your car is leaking exhaust into the passenger compartment. You need to go get this car fixed." I took it as a good sign because I can say now that I have been just so busy at work that I haven't been able to go get the muffler fixed on my company car. Bad sign that its making me sick. I have a rule about place's I take my vehicles to get fixed, whether my personal vehicle or my company vehicle. The shop has got to be clean. Some people may say what does that mean its a dirty repair shop. NOOOOO! They must have a very clean work area to meet my standards. This place does. I wanted to take pictures but I didn't want them to think I was weird. John the owner, went out of his way to make sure my car was done that same day because there was a weird part that they may not have been able to get. He hustled and got it for me because I only have this one car to drive and wouldn't have anything or anyway to even get the car on Monday. Great customer service, fast and efficient. Finding a good honest auto repair shop in Contra Costa can sometimes be frustrating. I'll tell you from my experience, if you have anything going on with your car take it to Broadway Mufflers in Walnut Creek FIRST. Here's what happened... I had an unknown random, persistent rattling noise coming from underneath my Chevy Tahoe. It was very frustrating and somewhat embarrassing... I had taken my car previously it to two other shops in Pleasant Hill and Concord who had failed miserably at pinning down where the problematic noise was coming from and how to fix it. John at Broadway mufflers was recommended to me. When I called him on the phone and explained what was going on he immediately had a good guess at exactly what the problem was. Due to his confidence I schedule the time and brought my Chevy Tahoe down to him. He took a quick listen, and told me he thought he knew exactly where the problem was. Right then and there he had my Tahoe up on the racks and he fixed the problem in less than 20 minutes while I stood there and watched. What I'd really appreciate it about Jon is that he actually showed me exactly what the problem was. He took me under the rack and SHOWED ME what was going on. He fixed it quickly and I felt like I was chopping up conversation with a good buddy. When I asked him how much I owed him for the fix, I was floored at how fair his price was.
