We needed somewhere to grab dinner on our way to Canyonlands to spend some quality time catching the views and walking some trails. Food was very good; salmon dish was tasty (not the biggest portion but no complaints). Waitress was a doll and told you exactly what to order if you were waffling between two items. They got us in and out of there, which worked great for our schedule! Nice place and clearly a town favorite; there were people waiting outside before it opened at 4:30pm!

Disappointed the sirloin was inedible. Extremely tough -long wait not worth it. The chix salad was huge but tasteless

For Moab tourists, the cavernous log cabin feel of this restaurant makes for a great setting to take in a family meal - with a large fireplace, local photos and (of course) ubiquitous broken raft oars. The servers are authentic, know the menu well and ensure you feel like a valued guest!! As for food, one theme stood out: Bacon and Range. Our family steered toward the wonderful chicken sandwich (gluten free bread was solid) and the Cobb Salad. The sweep potato fried are topped with a homemade sugary syrup (a bit sweet for my palate). While the food is not Five Star, it surely made for a solid meal in Moab.

We stopped here for dinner. They are dog friendly and have a great patio with heaters to sit outside. Our golden retriever loved it and they brought her out a fresh bowl of water along with our waters. We had the pleasure of being served by Melena. She was fantastic and super helpful! She made great recommendations for beer and food. I had the salmon that came with veges and mashed potatoes. The sauce was sweet and spicy. Cooked well. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. He gave it a 4/5. Sweet potato fries had a syrup drizzle that he said was too sweet and not needed. Hot sauce was great but the bun was a little thick. Overall good food, great service, and clean restaurants.

The Broken Oar has a cozy, woodsy cabin vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. It was a bit warm inside in the summer, but it cooled off as the evening went on. I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and asparagus; delicious, though the potatoes came out a little cool. My husband enjoyed the burger's char, though the fries were just okay. Our waitress, Melena, was excellent....friendly, attentive, and quick. Overall, good food and great service, and I'd likely return.

"Westwater" Burger (close), Miners Cabin burger (far). Apologies for the bad photo.

First of all, what a cool story! Just looking around the restaurant and seeing old photos of the original owner was amazing. We were there as the sun was going down and it was spectacular. The food was delish and our server Heather was the BEST! She had us all laughing, met our needs as a family of 5 and we felt like we gained a friend in Moab when we left. If you are visiting Moab this place is a must visit. Thanks Sunset Grille and Heather!

The…read morerestaurant sits up on a hill with beautiful views overlooking the area--perfect for a relaxing evening, though since it was a cloudy night, we didn't catch much of a sunset. The weather was still lovely, and the atmosphere felt special. At first glance, the restaurant doesn't look that big, but it's actually quite deceiving. Once inside, there are multiple rooms and cozy spaces with tables spread throughout, giving it a much larger and more inviting feel than you'd expect from the outside. For drinks, my husband ordered a beer but was a little disappointed that they don't serve any on tap. I tried the Summer Sunset cocktail (Tanqueray Gin, mint, and lemonade), which was light and refreshing, and later enjoyed a dirty martini with dinner. We started with the escargot appetizer. The flavor was good, but the mushroom and sauce overpowered the actual escargot a bit. For entrées, I had the special--Atlantic salmon stuffed with king crab, served with asparagus, rice, a side salad (highly recommend the blue cheese or honey poppyseed dressing), and homemade bread. It was fantastic, even though I'm fairly sure the "king crab" was frozen since it likely came from Alaska. Regardless, it was delicious. My husband had the seared tuna in an amaretto mushroom sauce, which he thought was decent but a bit too sweet for his taste. Luna was able to rest with us while we ate, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The service was excellent and really added to the experience. Dinner wasn't cheap--about $150 before tip--but overall, the quality, service, and atmosphere made it worth it.

Everything was available for pickup at the promised time, and it was all still hot! This was great after a long day of driving. I especially appreciated that they acknowledged our "nut allergy" note in our order. The food was flavorful and colorful. I would come back again if we stayed in Moab longer. We found parking easily but I can imagine it being busy since it was in the center of the town.

I really like the tamarind duck. The sauce is sweet and sour. However, I really hate how half the mushroom is cooked and half is not.. This curry is not very different from normal thai curry; the shrimp is cooked well, still has a nice crunch. Satay is normal, sauce is a little too sweet. Papaya salad is the worst dish, way too salty and sour. Green bean texture is too soft but seasoning is on point. Mango sticky rice is not good either: sticky rice is undercooked and mango is sour. I don't like the service here. We were still eating and they came over and just started to take our plates away, and when we still haven't finished the main course, they already asked if we want dessert. Also, they didn't really ask for spicy level of all the dishes and just assume we would go with the same spicy level. Food does come out very quick.
