This was the second time in two months both the service and food were not good. (The first time service was bad; food was just passable). This time we got there before 9 am on a Tuesday. There were very few customers at tables. Ordered at 9. Saw our food in the window at 9:15. Our waiter walked by the window half a dozen times. Finally got our food at 9:25 (from another server). It was cold. Got the manager to find our waiter. Told him we'd pay for the coffee but that was it. He said not to worry about it. No apology, no offer to have the food remade - nothing. Probably won't be stopping by again without a coupon or a deal ‍ We got the ranchero skillet and the chicken & waffle eggs benedict and both were excessively salty. If you like your food to taste like it was washed in ocean water (no judgement if you do) this is the place for you. What really got me was the waffle -- it tasted EXACTLY like the waffles you get at free hotel breakfasts (you know when you put the batter in the cup and make it yourself?) and it really bruised my ego to have paid for that waffle. read more

Very disappointing experience at The Broken Yolk. A cashier had to get her manager for help, which was no issue. However, the manager was inattentive and showed very poor leadership. While our to-go drinks were being made, she loudly spoke negatively about another coworker, calling her "awful" and "not a team player." Breakfast was sooo disappointing--always thought blueberry pancakes were pancakes with blueberries IN them, NOT some thrown on top of a plain pancake. Omelet was way overcooked and the "home fries" were mostly "non-fried" slices of potato. The ones that were "fried" had a bitter inedible off flavor--like the cooking medium was rancid or someone didn't clean the grill. The server, however, was excellent, and the restaurant nicely decorated and very clean. Sadly, not enough here to bring us back, but do hope they were just having a bad day. read more
