We had a soccer team in town for a tournament in Oceanside and were looking for a place to do a gift exchange/breakfast after the game on a Sunday morning. We called Wednesday and the manager was friendly and accommodating and was able to get us a reservation for approximately 30 to 40 people. When we arrived the restaurant was ready for us and even provided some overflow tables since our group actually ended up closer to 50. Our server (Alison) was extremely organized and the orders were taken quickly. The food came out fast and was delicious! I specifically booked Broken Yolk because our family loves their Carmel Mountain location and have booked events there before - that have gone really well! This was my first time eating at this location and it did not disappoint! The parking lot was full and I was under the impression that it was going to be super busy, but we were seated right away. Our food was obviously pre-prepped. We ordered our food and within not even two minutes our food was on the table before we even got our drinks. The avocado toast looked like it had fake avocado on it. It was strange. We also didn't finish our drinks. Matcha tasted awful and I'm not even that much of a picky eater or drinker. We don't really come to broken yolk unless it's a birthday or special occasion for our kids but the food is really good and so is the service. I understand it gets busy and people get stressed out but they need to pay attention to what they are doing at the host check in. It's Sunday so of course it's busy and we dont mind waiting however long the wait is but what bothers me is that we checked in on yelp upon arrival and then we wanted to double check that our name was on the list and the host says yeah yelp is okay to check in but then after 30 minutes of waiting the other host says if you checked in on yelp you need to check in at the host stand. So I go and tell her yeah I tried to do that but the guy just told me it was okay to check in on yelp and she just says it's another 40 minutes and that I needed to check in at the host stand as well. And I'm like well I tried to but you guys told me it's okay to just check in on yelp??? They need to be on the same page and not keep repeating the same thing to me after I already told them I checked in with them and they just told me i didn't need to check in if I already did on yelp. read more

I love their food and for dine in seating this place is the best. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and super friendly staff. Service is quick even on a busy day and I love the big menu. When you have to wait they'll text you and I think they're doing a great job with maintaining a safe and clean place to eat during covid. Downside their online system for ordering food doesn't allow for much customization and the entire menu isn't available online. There's no option to select non-meat options or sub something in, so you'll have to call. They don't answer the phones all of the time so you have to keep calling. read more

My god was my experience horrible. I did the online order which went smoothly and the food was ready when we arrived. The one problem was that we were missing so many things that was supposed to come with our order. I ordered the battered sausage on a stick, my usual broken yolk order, and it didn't come with the usual fruit and syrup. The chicken fried steak was missing gravy AND a blueberry muffin. It's like they wanted us to have half a meal because I tried calling multiple times and no one would answer. Luckily after a fourth call attempt, they answered and heard our complaints and offered a refund. I don't know if it was an off day, but I hope this isn't a common occurrence with online orders. read more

My all time FAVORITE brunch spot in Oceanside!! This spot is mandatory to come to whenever my friends and I visit Southern California. I may just be lucky but every time I have came, I never waited to be seated. They're typically packed everyday but the service is so fast considering how busy they are. The waiters are all AMAZING and so sweet and helpful. They make our experience better every time we come back. The food is sooooooo good and has never disappointed anyone I have brought. My favorites are any of the Benedict's but I always chose the option to pick two different ones. The mimosa flights are my favorite and are pretty cheap. What a fabulous environment besides the Saturday rush. Front staff are friendly and seat you as quickly and efficiently as you can. The servers are also very attentive and nice. Thomas was our server and was laughing with me while pouring my coffee despite how busy he was. I had the Huevos Rancheros and my husband had the breakfast burger and it sweet potato fries and it was so big we split it in half and ate it later for dinner. They also have arcade games inside to play free like Atari magnetic pong which is like the old version but like air hockey you need skills bc it has an actual pong got back and forth. Also a combination of all 80's favorite games on one machine like the classics PAC Man, Galaga, Ms. Pac Man and probably Space invaders plus more was available for free for people who waited. Even tho there were lots of people waiting it didn't take long for us to get a table even on a busy rainy day at @10:30AM.
