It's a decent place for breakfast, with a couple of caveats. I've only eaten here once, so your experience may vary. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich, with fresh fruit, and coffee. The coffee was a little on the sour side for me, probably a light or medium roast. I know some like that, but if I have to put creamer in it, it's not for me. The croissant sandwich was big, and very tasty. It didn't hold together all that well, so ended up eating it with a knife and fork, but still good. The fresh fruit was a little disappointing. If fresh means underripe, then it was spot on. The melons were as hard as a rock. The service was good, the pricing a little high ($17 for a sandwich and a small bowl of fruit). But then again it is Temecula.

We've dined at various Broken Yolk locations over the years. Each has the same diverse menu and same great menu options. Visited this location many times and have had Vanessa and recently Angie as servers. Both were exceptional. Always kept coffee piping hot. If it wasn't, they fixed it no questions asked. It can get crazy busy any day of the week. Be prepared for a wait especially on weekends. The team keeps the wait as short as possible tho. Once seated, the team is always personable and friendly with prompt service. Keep on Yelp'n!

From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. We were seated immediately with no wait, which set the tone for a smooth and enjoyable visit. The restaurant itself has a beautiful, cozy vibe--simple décor done just right. Nothing feels overdone, yet it creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless and clearly well maintained, and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. Parking was also a breeze with plenty of spaces available in the shopping complex. Now for the food--absolutely outstanding across the board. The chilaquiles were a highlight, featuring an amazing salsa with just the right depth of flavor and perfectly seasoned carne asada that complemented the dish beautifully. The tostadas were cooked to perfection: crispy and sturdy, holding up well before soaking in the salsa while still maintaining great texture. The avocado toast had an excellent consistency and was mildly seasoned in a hearty, satisfying way that let the freshness shine without overpowering it. For something sweet, the Nutella crepes were spot on. They were cooked just right--neither overdone nor undercooked--and had the perfect balance of sweetness without being overwhelming. Paired with a Bloody Caesar, which offered a fun and tasty twist on the classic Bloody Mary, the meal felt complete. The drink had a nice, mild spiciness, though it was a bit light on the alcohol--but still very enjoyable. A special shoutout to our server, Vanessa, who truly elevated the experience. She checked on us consistently without being intrusive, was always nearby when we needed something, and our food arrived incredibly fast. Her attentiveness and friendly attitude made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, this place absolutely delivers--great food, excellent service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a hassle-free visit. We'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others.

Haven't been to Broken Yolk in awhile. The food was good. We may have to give it another try. The food portions were plentiful. The taste was good. Service was decent and the restaurant was clean.

This cost fifty bucks, before tip. The coffee and sausages were the best part.

Tried this place for my birthday (brunch) last Saturday, and I'd honestly call it Mid. For being busy, the wait wasn't bad; they had a nice large location and moved people through. I liked our waitresses. That being said...I found it to be quite pricey: fifty bucks for 2 breakfasts with 1 coffee, before tip??? (Spoiler alert: the coffee and the sausage were the best parts.) Granted, the pancakes were GYNORMOUS...but TBH had no flavor. Hubby said the same about his biscuits. I actually took most of my pancakes home, and ended up just tossing them out...which is EXTREMELY RARE for me; I HATE wasting food. We told the hostess staff it was my birthday, and it basically got a yawn ( unlike the fanfare at other places). We won't be back bc there are so many other places that are so much better, for equal or much less money. Not horrible but definitely not great.

Did a pickup order yesterday for Mother's Day & there was barely any chorizo in my omelette.. Literally a tablespoon.. I will be going back for a remake.. $60 on breakfast & getting toddler portions is insane. We called & left a message yesterday..... No response.

EGGS-EMPLARY FOOD! WOW, I loved my Mile High Omelette with green peppers, onion, ham, and cheese. It was light and very satisfying, perfect for brunch. I visited this location for the first time with my Mom and we had a blast. My meal came with wheat toast and a side of fresh fruit. My Mom and I asked for a side order (my favorite part of the meal) of short stack pancakes. The fluffy short stack pancakes (quantity of 2) were topped with banana slices and a bit of butter. Everything tasted great! I love that Broken Yolk has fun glasses for their drinks, my orange juice came in a tall, thin glass with a perfectly sized straw. Overall, the restaurant was tidy and our silverware was ready upon arrival. My only suggestion is that the restroom should be checked more frequently, there was toilet paper on the floor and a mess of water by the sink. The manager was very attentive! Additionally, our waiter was super polite and friendly. Shout out to Josue P., he was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave a great short stack recommendation. I loved the professional staff and service. Broken Yolk is near the freeway and not too far from the Temecula Promenade, it's centrally located.

Service was kind and quick. However the menu has become more restricting and less accommodating to those with allergies. The menu is not clearly marked for those with gluten issues or those with other allergies. There is a lack of variety in substitutions for people with food limitations. The key for the menu is not utilized in a way that makes the customer feel like they can be self sufficient. Ambiance was calm but nothing special. read more

Stopped by on a Friday morning and was seated immediately, so obviously it wasn't as busy as it normally gets. Brittany, our server, was great and very attentive. We ordered the Country Skillet, the Monte Cristo, and the All American Breakfast. Everything we order came out quick and was delicious. Also got to try their limited time Paradise Flight mimosa, (mango, pineapple, guava - my fave, and strawberry lemonade). Totally recommend it! Would I come back, yes I would! read more

My second visit to the Broken Yolk Cafe, thought I would add my honest take on this place. The first thing I noticed is that this place is rated a little lower than what it should be considered. I think a lot of it has to do with wait times and how busy this place get especially on weekend morning. Wait times can be pretty long and you can't get a traditional reservation. It get's really busy around 10-11am hours. They do allow you to check in 30 minutes prior to arrival which helps cut down on the wait time. We didn't wait long it just took some time before we got our food. Food wise I've only tried the omelets, I was torn between the artichoke omelet and the fried chicken & waffle eggs Benedict. I was in an omelet mood so I went for the omelet. With the omelet you get the omelet and one choice of side. I ended up getting fruit, I thought you would still get hash brown, but the fruit end up being my side. The omelet is pretty good, you mostly taste the beacon and cheese, but there are plenty of artichoke pieces through out. I liked the omelet overall, I'm sure it's not the best omelet on the menu, but still good if your looking to try something different. My wife had the waffle beacon and cheese sandwich. Overall it was just alright (nothing out of the ordinary) Overall Broken Yolk Cafe is a great place to go for breakfast. read more

Update. 6/2022 -- our first visit after covid. An expensive breakfast that disappointed. I ordered a new item on the menu, I hadn't had it in years... the Monte Cristo Sandwich with ham and cheese and a berry sauce. It wasn't anything like I remembered it. This one had a "spongy" texture, for lack of a better word, the bread part, which is supposed to be like a french toast, but wasn't. I only ate a part of one piece. Hubby ordered a regular American breakfast, asked for scrambled eggs soft, and they came with yellow egg yolk floating on top of them. The waitress offered to have them redone, she was very sweet (Donna) but he isn't much of an egg eater anyway, so he declined and I took his eggs and he took my Monte Cristo. Hash browns don't stay together, like in a patty, they separate and didn't have much flavor. Salt helped, but all in all it was a disappointment and I doubt very much we will return. The coffee and service were the only positives today. read more

Our extended family and I had breakfast at Broken Yolk Cafe in Temecula. It was Saturday, and very crowded. But, all in all. It was a good experience. The staff was very attentive and pleasant even though being worked to the max. The food was good. And served hot. But the best part of our experience was our waitress Dawn. 10/10 the food is hot, the customer service is always on point from the host to the server. Had a great experience with Julie, constantly checking how we were doing, food came out in minutes. They have their point/award system that helped us earn $10 off our meal! This is our favorite location! This place is always busy and has a wait on weekends but we love the "breakfast bar" which always seems to have the best servers (ask for Kayla - she's a doll!) and gets us our favorite breakfast right away. So that's a friendly tip if you want to bypass the line :-) Broken Yolk Cafe has something for everyone - I do the Greek omelet with egg whites for my protein fix and it's always perfect with fruit and coffee. Good breakfasts, a large menu, great service and quick delivery - Broken Yolk has all the bases covered! Oh yeah, and it's football season so the bar TVs are awesome for watching too! read more

Met an old friend here for breakfast today (Wednesday morning). We were seated immediately and the host took our drink orders. Server was super attentive and friendly. I had the chicken Chilaquiles with salsa verde. They were wonderful. Reasonably priced, especially during the current financial times. Here's the big take away. I noticed a blonde girl (Donna or Dawn) who appeared to be the manager on duty. You could really tell she loved her job. Her smile and attitude were infectious and apparently affected the rest of the staff. As we were leaving, we were thanked for coming by Donna/Dawn, our server, two guys coming out of the kitchen with other customers food and the young guy who seated us. In addition, the manager, Donna/Dawn noticed I had my motorcycle helmet and called out to me to have a safe ride! To the reviewers in the last year who are commenting on slow service, have you noticed what's going on? Hiring staff is next to impossible. How about we all just understand the the people who are showing up to work, to serve us no matter how ungrateful, are doing their best in a less than optimal situation. read more

Well, I was in there today, and while I was waiting to be seated, I saw a sign by the register that said you can add bottomless mimosas to any entree for $12.99. If that's no longer the case, it should probably be removed.

As soon as I walked inside, the host Dakota was super cordial and got me seated at their outdoor patio beneath sun shades, next to the vineyard and I had a perfect unobstructed view of the jazz performer on stage. After seating, I ordered a glass of their signature Cabernet Sauvignon and the Fromagé plate, which was presented shortly afterwards. The fromagé plate had a variety of cheeses, seedless red grapes, dried apricots, fig preserve spread and additionally a plate of bread... perfect for sharing or not. For me to take time out of my day to leave a review like this I sure do hope this review is read and some action is taken! My wife and I along with our son came to Broken Yolk this morning for breakfast. We have been to Broken Yolk Cafes all over. We have visited San Marcos Location over 10 times and Carlsbad about another 5-10 times. This Temecula location I'd say was our 5th or so visit as well however this might have been last time we come here unless Rigo the cook is fired!! My favorite thing to order is the Border Benedict I get it all the time I always order this plate it's my favorite!! I mentioned to the server Kayla (Which she was Awesome) that instead of the corn cake I'd like to sub out for English muffin! When my plate came out I noticed that they forgot to make my plate with the English Muffin. Not a big deal at all we all make mistakes you guys were busy these things happen but HERE IS THE BIG ISSUE listed below! When my plate came out for the second time it was exactly what I ordered however the cook Rigo it was clear as day just took everything off the other plate and put it on this new plate with no joke about at least 15 Jalapeños ALL OVER my dish!! Not only was it all over my dish he also chopped A Bunch of Jalapeños very small and mixed in the Poblano Sauce to make my dish EXTRA EXTRA spicy!! When I confronted Rigo the cook as I was taking to him and reading his body language I could completely tell he was caught red handed!! I am a nice person paying for a meal I kindly reminded them I ordered with English Muffin but for him to put me at fault and attempt to punish me with an Extremely spicy dish is COMPLETELY UNETHICAL AND UNCALLED FOR!! I mention to the Manager Allyson who was also very sweet, understanding, and professional I said have you ever seen a Border Benedict with this many Jalapeños full size, cut to 1/2 size, and also finely finely chopped smothered and mixed all over the dish in the poblano sauce? She said no I'm so sorry about this! Some of the employees caught wind of what was going on as I was still kind to everyone and it was mentioned by an employee that they have had a lot of issues with this Rigo guy!! I would absolutely be blown away if this Cook doesn't lose his job after deliberately and purposely trying to completely ruin my stomach and appetite intentionally with the amount of jalapeños that were on this plate!! I am not over exaggerating one bit and if you ask Allyson or Kayla they saw the plate and agreed with me that this was done intentionally!! I sure do hope something is done THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT OK AND I WILL NOT STOP WITH BAD REVIEWS UNITL HE IS AT LEAST SUSPENDED!! You should really do all your employees/business a favor and Terminate this employee!! YOU ABSOLUTELY-CAN NOT TREAT PEOPLE THIS WAY ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE KIND AND HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG!! I haven't had this horrible of service or food from a cook in my entire life! I have never had a cook intentionally target me in this kind of a way!! My server and the manager were great along with the entire staff as always, RIGO however DOES NOT belong as part of this awesome staff!! We had an amazing experience at Broken Yolk this past Saturday morning! We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to give this place a try -- and we're so glad we did. First off, the restaurant itself was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be coming back since we visit the area often. Now, the real reason for this review: Josue, our server, absolutely knocked it out of the park. We were a party of 18 on a busy morning, and he handled everything flawlessly. He took all of our orders without any issues and got everything to us quickly and accurately. What really impressed us was his attention to detail -- refills, extra napkins, straws -- nothing was overlooked. Even with such a large group, he managed to split all of our checks without any confusion or delays. Time flew by, and before we knew it, two hours had passed! The team and I just want to say a huge thank you to Josue for his incredible service. He made our visit truly memorable. We appreciate it so much -- thank you, Josue! His welcoming attitude set the tone for a fantastic breakfast. As for my server, Josué, he was exceptional! His attentive and friendly personality made for the perfect restaurant experience. He made some great recommendations, the Sope Benedict being one of them. He anticipated my needs before I even had to ask. My drink was always refilled and the food came out perfectly timed. I come here about every 2-3 weeks with my fiance for breakfast. We immediately were seated and greeted by our usual server Brittany. She is always very welcoming and has suggestions on what to get if your stuck between the menu! Javier served us our drinks and made friendly small talk. We were served our food by Kayla and Tyrus, which came out super quick! They always make sure to ask if we need anything else before we begin eating, which if you forget a sauce or need dipping ranch, they got your back. Overall, the staff and environment of this Broken Yolk is one of a kind. Its a phenomenal place to enjoy a family meal or just get a meal solo. Me and my fiancé love the broken yolk it's our number one go to place to have breakfast. A lot of the servers know who we are and what we order because we go there so often. We've always had a great experience here. This is place is seriously amazing. We always order the golden state benedict and a Bloody Mary. We recently had a super awesome server named Julie, we were so excited because she was once our server at a sushi restaurant long before and when we seen her working at the broken yolk we knew we were going to have amazing service. She is the sweetest and kept checking in on us to see how we were doing, she knows how to treat her guest and goes above and beyond for them. My kids and I love eating here for breakfast. Today 9/15/24 we went in and had breakfast. The food was great and the service was amazing. Today was the second time we got Brittany the waiter. Let me tell you that she is an amazing person/waiter. She is on top of her job. Always on top of keeping your drinks refilled. I love that she does her job always with a smile on her face, even when they are really busy. Always coming by every 5 mins to check everything is good. Now the food is delicious. We decided to go to Broken Yolk after our son's soccer game. We were pleasantly surprised that our wait was only going to be 20 mins. We actually waited about 10 or 15 mins so it was great. We were seated and our waitress came over quickly and she was very attentive. The food was great. I inhaled my sopes. The wife had red chilaquiles. She usually gets green and absolutely loved them. My mother in law had a skillet and it was great. My son had a pancake and bacon. He usually doesn't eat it all but he ate most of it. Overall we love coming to Broken Yolk. We have frequented broken Yolk many times without disappointment. Hoe er that changed today. We sat at counter (first time) and had horrible service. Took way too long to get menus. Then way too long to place order. My food came out way past the time my wife was finished. Requests for refill of tea or extra dressing were so slow to happen it was as if the server had not been there. When reminded she acted like we were unreasonably asking her to help us. She was the first to blame others. So disappointing. If this had been out first visit we would not be back. Fortunately all other visits were nearly ideal. We stopped in this past Sunday morning for breakfast to try the new place in town. We were very disappointed. I ordered poached eggs with french toast and bacon, my mother ordered the same special with scrambled eggs while the kids both ordered grilled cheese. The poached eggs were barely room temperature while my moms scrambled eggs and the grilled cheese were cold. The service was terrible as we both had coffee and no one stopped by to refill our cups until AFTER she came by to pick up my money for the check. I let our waitress know I was not happy and she apologized but I know we will not ever go back. Lesson learned- We'll stick to Mo's Egg House. read more

So glad we decided to stop by our local broken yolk in Temecula! Our champagne, food, and ambiance were great. It would not have been the same without our amazing server Brittany! She was so patient with our 13 month old, while he had several melt downs. Everything was brought out on time, and she checked on us frequently. Since I requested the hollandaise sauce on the side, she offered the Sriracha on the side which I'm grateful for because I over read that in the description & was planning on sharing it with our son. We used to come here all of the time without any issues. Unfortunately, service has become unfriendly. They advertise "bottomless" mimosas but after our group had two of them on our last visit, the waitress stopped coming around and eventually, we were able to flag her down. We asked if we could have another round, and she actually stated that she had intentionally stayed away from our table (of regular customers), to pace us on our drinks! Do not advertise bottomless anything, if you are going to rip off your customers and not hold true to what your menu says. We will not be back! Go to Annie's instead if you want better food and hospitality! read more

The wife and i came here for a nice breakfast and left with high regret asked for a1 sauce when i got my food but the first person i asked forgot and i had to ask the busser to help. busser was nice my steak was over cooked and eggs were cold. asked for Med Rare and got well done the guacamole on my wife omelet was brown all over when the lady with pink hair came by to ask how our food was she left before we could respond the server was nice and apologetic but we were in a rush and had to go so we couldn't wait for our food to be remade didnt feel like the same experience we had last time we were in California read more

As we are new in the Riverside area we thought we would give the place a try. Great choice! The food was great.the service was also great. On that note the food on our second visit came out a bit cold. I mentioned this to the waitress. Dawn came to our table and To our surprise we were comped for the meal. And given a card for a free entrée. Excellent customer service. We came back earlier this week and Dawn was our waitress. She was delightful! Great service and funny.The food was delicious as usual. Large portions we always take home food. This will be or I should say is our go to spot for breakfast. read more

Our breakfast at the Broken Yolk Cafe was delicious as always. I tried something new, deciding on the Boarder Benedict. If you like perfectly poached eggs, the flavor of peppers, and the texture of crunchy meat, then this dish is for you. We also prdered our Go-To country fried steak and eggs. The mimosa and coffee also hit the spot this morning. Kayla was our server for the morning. She was sweet and knowledgeable on the menu items. She was also on top of refills. Overall, great job! I've been a mom to a kid with food allergies for 8 years now, it's been hell trying to take them out and make them feel like theyre part of having a good breakfast/brunch. But today was literally a life changing moment for us. Broken Yolk Cafe had Just Egg vegan egg substitute. For the first time in 8 years as a family we shared a breakfast meal out on the town. I'm really grateful for the options here, and the smile it provided my child. I would recommend this place to anyone! their Cinn--cake was so good, their Carmel messy latte was SO GOOD, and overall I'm just one happy fat customer. read more

Came for Sunday Brunch. It was busy, but the wait was only about 20 minutes. Once we were seated, our server, Brisa, came and got our drink order right away. She was friendly and attentive w/o being overbearing. Food was delicous! We had Ranchero skillet. Very good. No complaints. Will likely be my go to Sweet trio + side of egg and bacon: the crusted French toast was LIGHTS OUT, but the pancake was also really good Kids French toast w/egg and bacon Coffee Caramel latte: so delicious and pretty presentation Will definitely be back for more and some mimosa flights! read more

I've had the broken yolk out in San Diego a few months ago & I wasn't so pleased with my dish nor the service but I thought I would give it another shot out here. I came in here a few days ago & boy oh boy... This particular location & breakfast restaurant is probably my number one go-to spot. I was pleasantly surprised with the food & service. I ordered the sope Benedict & it was deeeelicious. Our server, julie was so helpful & patient with us while ordering. She checked up on us often to make sure everything was okay. Very sweet girl. From the moment we were seated, Kayla exuded warmth and professionalism, making us feel right at home. She was incredibly attentive to accommodate our meal preferences.
