Don't let the rating fool you Brolly Hut was good, significantly better than going to a fast food spot to grab a burger and fries. I kept it simple and ordered a double cheeseburger with everything on it and fries with a large chocolate shake. Very retro meal but non the less very good. The service could use some work being that I was a first time customer the cashier was a little short and annoyed with my questions but I get it. Other than that I really enjoyed my experience and will probably go back.

It's been years since I've been here and it felt like a calm night. This place has one of those iconic, one of a kind designs that give you that nostalgic feeling with its design and atmosphere. The staff is quick and ready as soon as you walk in, they're kind too. I went with their classic colossal burger, just love the pastrami in this burger and the way it all goes so well.

It's been literally decades since having a Brolly Hut Burger. Ordered the Colossal Burger with everything and an order of Onion Rings. The Burger had everything but flavor for me. Had to join my peppers and some ranch (.87c a cup) that ai purchased. Definitely missing sauce or mayo mustard and ketchup. The service was professional courteous. You definitely know the regulars (when they come through), they get called by name. Definitely a community staple for sure. Hate ai have to rate such a beloved community staple low or even having to report anything negative but it is what it is. Still feel Brolly Hut is surely among the greats (based on the history) but the offering today just wasn't up to par. The onion rings however were fried and battered perfectly just no flavor. Ai will surely make it out again to give her another go. She's worthy. Put a lot of work in over the years. Would love to drop in occasionally and enjoy a nostalgic Burger experience from my youth. Gratitude and give thanks Brolly Hut Burgers and Staff. Will surely come again.

I've been going to Brolly hut since I was 14 and I've never experienced anything like this. The girl at the counter doesn't need to work there. She's very rude. I didn't take a picture of the oily day old onion rings that I received for my 91 year-old grandmother, but those were horrible also. My mom went in the burger, stand to return them and once again, her attitude was horrible. She didn't want to refund my money. I've now been going there for over 30 years, but they need to close down. It's not the same.

Bitten chili pepper, had teeth marks but phone couldn't focus.

Decided to give this place another try. Food was good. Ordered over the phone and according to the cashier I probably called the other brolly hut in lawndale when the number is clearly posted on a sign that matched my phone. Had to repeat my order 3 more times, cashier still had a confused look on his face after the 3rd time. Tried to give them another try but I'll be going somewhere else.

I grew around the corner from this place and have been coming here for years, and I enjoy the food from Brolly Hut. With saying that, they have their issues. Food: The food is your typical mom and pop shop style food. It's greasy, it's good, it has flavor, and it's a local spot everyone knows about. I'm not mad at the food at all. I ordered 2 chicken salads and an order of fries. The fries only come in one size. Service: I have to say the service was extremely bad. The cashier was yelling next, which is fine, but didn't say hello or hi. No customer service experience at all. I asked for a pastrami salad, and I was told they don't make pastrami salads. So I asked if you could put the pastrami on the side, and they had to get approval. Someone in the back said yes, it's fine. I then asked if they have a chicken salad, which I already knew they did, but I wanted to see what the difference was from pastrami and chicken. The cashier said yes, we have a chicken salad, and I replied back, "What's the difference from pastrami going on the salad compared to the chicken? The cashier stated we just don't do it. I said Okay," and ordered 2 chicken salads and an order of french fries. I got my number and sat down and then waited for my order. After the 3 people who ordered after me received their food, who also ordered multiple options from the menu. I walked up to the window to see if I saw anything that looked like a salad being prepared and only saw another order that came after me being prepared. I walked up to the cashier and asked for my money back as I did not want to wait any longer because I felt like my conversation about the pastrami and challenging why they didn't do it somehow rubbed the staff the wrong way and decided to make my order after everyone received their order. When I asked for my money back, the cashier said, "Why? I explained my reason, and the staff spoke about it and then decided to give money back. The crazy thing is they never started my order, and I was waiting for 23 minutes with only 2 people in front of me, and they left 10 minutes into my wait time. Everyone else came in after me. It's sad when the food is good but the staff makes you not want to come back. Atmosphere: It's dingy and looks beat up. The tables and chairs are the original but haven't been taken care of. Price: The price is good for the food, no complaints. 2 chicken salads and an order of fries came out to 25.82 Location: It's in Inglewood, CA, on Crenshaw Blvd.

They forgot to place my order with the kitchen on a super busy day, so I ended up waiting over 20 minutes for an order that was not coming. I went to the counter after that to ask, and they were completely disorganized. I ended up getting another customer's order and during the entire wait, there must have been five other customers complaining to the manager about the food and wait. I will not return. read more

Great burgers, steak sandwhiches and clubs. Always tasty and always a good value. Been coming here for 30 years. My only complaint is that they should keep the tables cleaner and give a receipt with orders. I always feel I should get my order to go, even though I would sometimes prefer to eat there. read more

This was one of my favorite spots, until my last visit I order the pastrami with extra pastrami, I paid the extra money and watched as they made it, I asked the employees about the extra pastrami meat, and she said that was not my order, but she put it in a bag and called my number, I told her that was just a regular pastrami and if they're not going to give me the extra meat I would like my money back, she just looked at me and And hand me the bag not want to cause a scene I just left, I know I'm just one person but they lost a loyal customer. read more

Man, I love this place. My favorite is the bean and cheese burrito. The taco sauce that they make is the best. The other burritos are good too, but you really don't even need the meat. The burgers are also good. I like that you can order half fries/half onion rings. They are both good and I can never decide on one over the other. read more

The food was average. The tacos where super greasy I didn't see what the big fuzz was its hard to mess up something with so much grease. They have nothing at hand for you so you have to ask for literally everything . 3$ for a some what large drink but they still charge 55 cents for a refill read more

I first started coming to this place when I was just a young man i am from 119 st.. I remember when i would ask for a pastrami burrito and would explain to the cooks how to make it cuz it was not on the menu my self and my home boys made this a famous item back in the mid 70s we would stroll Crenshaw Blvd late at night then stop at The Hut before it would close @ 2:00am,now at age 55 I can't wait to stop here for a pastrami burrito when ever I touch down in L.A.The food is just like it was when i was a kid still great I live in Sacramento now and there is no place like brolly. hut in northern ca. read more

I went to this place for what was supposed to be a great pastrami sandwich. It is out of the way for me but I finally made it there. The sandwich was not very good at all. The pastrami was over cooked and luke warm but the french fries were hot and fresh. Not the safest area to be waiting on food after dark. I would NOT make this trip again and no longer listen to the friends food choices. lol read more

The food is decent but their customer service is horrible, the lady who took my order had a terrible attitude from the beginning and when I put my hand out to receive my change she didn't even place it in my hand. If you're going to work in customer service make sure it's the field for you, completely disappointed in their staff. read more

Let me begin by saying I have been coming here since 1972. The bloom is very much off the rose, ( me and this restaurant.) Why does an independent fast food place have to serve garbage? It wasn't this way years ago. It was never gourmet, but it was edible. And what is this about not answering their phone to place an order and when they do answer, the person doesn't speak English, or the connection is so bad from the electronics they are using its a WHAT? fest back and forth. I love ghetto burgers and this place has very good ghetto burgers. Don't mind me this is what I call these burgers at these mom and pop burger joints. I also am a huge fan on the monster fries and this place has them. Burger special is what I always get. Cash only is the only problem. I hardly carry cash. If they accepted credit cards I would difinitley more times than not. I see the reviews on the onion rings. I gotta try them next time. Snuck in right before they closed, which may have affected my order. Colossal burger was decent but I ended up picking most of the pastrami off (way too thick and overall pretty bland). Onion rings had perfect breading, but the actual onions were still cold??? Not sure how that works... I know this place is a staple, but there are other places not far off Crenshaw that do it better... read more

When I was going to Morning-side high right down the street (some years ago), I definitely enjoyed eating here. Numerous changes has happened in Inglewood over the years, and Brolly Hut has certainly stood the test of time. That being said, how about a menu and a decor update? Being that Brolly Hut is a community fixture, an update would surely be appreciated for the "familiar" passerby. read more

Their hamburger special and thousand island sauce are delicious. But now that I am a vegetarian I tried the veggie burrito which is really tasty! Pretty much its just a flour tortilla with lettuce, tomato, cheese and choice of sauce but its really filling. Make sure to order ahead by phone because the lines are typically long. read more

So i was feeling a little hungry yesterday.. march 07 2010... i had the biggest craving for a good pastrami burger... so me and my sister headed out to Brolly Hut... i had just read the reviews and decided to take a chance on this place... well i was glad that i did... i had a colossal burger... and damn that was one of the best burgers I've had... in a long time... and the chili fries are sooooooo bomb... i would definitely be making another trip to this place... read more

Good luck on calling in an order....... they do not pickup the phone and hv a smart ass remark for not answering the phone. I called and no answer, when I finally got there and placed an order the phone was ringing off the hook while I waited. For someone who is in business and knows that the phone is always ringing that means ur in high demand...... pick up da fuccin phone. If u don't want to answer discontinue the phone service and don't list it! Very simple to do! read more

It has a really good pumpkin flavor. It was cool and quite refreshing. It also had a bit of a caffeine kick. The Pumpkin Spice was good and I've got my eye on their Cookie Butter and Fruity Pebbles for a future indulgence.

I've wanted to check out Irv's Burgers for a while now, but I never really had the chance until…read moretoday. I happened to be in the area, and even though I'd already eaten, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to finally drop in. Irv's originally opened in 1946 as Queen's Burgers, located right on Route 66 on Santa Monica Boulevard in WeHo, and was deeply ingrained in LA's historic car culture. In 1970, Irv Genis bought the stand and renamed it Irv's Burgers, and it quickly became a legendary late-night spot for rock icons like Bob Dylan and Jim Morrison. By 2000, Sonia Hong took over, famously hand-drawing doodles on the paper plates alongside her signature slogan, "Just for you." After closing in 2013 and again in 2018, Lawrence Longo partnered with Sonia in 2021 to bring the brand back to life. They've since expanded quite a bit, even opening locations in Malibu and Las Vegas. On a staff recommendation, I ordered Irv's Original Roadside Burger Double ($11.25). Honestly, it was just okay. While a certain amount of grease and salt is expected with a burger, this one crossed the line into being a bit too salty and oily. On the bright side, the sesame bun was excellent, and I loved that they kept Sonia's legacy alive by printing her classic doodles on the tray placemats. While I'm glad Irv's was saved from history and is expanding, the food itself felt pretty so-so. The outdoor tables were also a bit dirty during my visit. I still love that classic roadside burger stand aesthetic with the outdoor stools, but unfortunately, I won't be in a rush to head back.

The order pick up window person shouted my name to the kitchen each time I checked in. Finally the 3rd time they responded, they start arguing, apparently my order was done a long time ago, and it was given to someone else. It took 30min to figure out that my order had already been done and given to someone else because there was no communication between the kitchen, order staff or pick up staff. no apology, just got my food after the argument 3minutes later...Food was average, definitely not worth a 30min wait.

This was my third visit in the last month, and each experience has been excellent. On my first visit, I enjoyed a Hot Honey Lavender Latte with a pastry. My second visit was for an Iced Vanilla Latte, and today I stopped in planning to grab an Iced Honey Vanilla Latte to go. Instead, I decided to stay for lunch, and I'm so glad I did. The café is clean, inviting, and the staff is genuinely friendly. I was greeted by the owner/manager, who took the time to welcome me and check in throughout my meal to make sure everything was to my liking. That level of hospitality goes a long way. I'll admit, I was a little skeptical about ordering Mediterranean food from a neighborhood coffee shop, but that skepticism disappeared after the very first bite. I ordered the white meat chicken kabob plate with hummus, garlic sauce, rice, and pita, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly marinated, tender, and full of the authentic Mediterranean flavors I know and love. It was clear this wasn't an afterthought on the menu--it was prepared with care and quality ingredients. Before leaving, I couldn't resist taking home a few pieces of baklava for the family, and they were the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. I'm happy to say I've found my new local spot whenever I'm craving a great coffee, breakfast, or a satisfying lunch or dinner plate. If you're an Inglewood local or just passing through the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Luua Caffe. I highly recommend it--you won't be disappointed.

Had breakfast here yesterday. Ordered the French Toast (#3 on the Menu) with scrambled eggs and coffee. The french toast slices were thick and good-sized; they give you butter (on the frozen side but that's OK) and syrup on the side. The eggs were done to perfection. The coffee was flavorful. I haven't eaten at this place since before 1983. Being there brought back many memories. I remember as a child walking home from school, this building was under construction I would walk thru it and think what an odd-looking building. read more

a minute ago NEW All of the new employees look like prison escapees who will spit in your food! They are very rude and left my already prepared food sitting on the counter for over 5 minutes while they just stared blankly. Brolly Hut, I don't know what happened to your female employees but they probably don't want to work with the rude thugs.
