We went in for the first time today and didn't like the vibe there. They lack customer service and welcoming guests in. When I asked questions to a few of the folks there- they seemed bothered and uninterested. Really made me feel some type of way. I have lived in Joliet since 2001, and found Bronkberry Farms a few years back. Last year (after I bought all my garden plants from Home Depot) I stopped in to see what they had to offer. I was so impressed that I told Jennifer (the owner) I will be back next year to buy my garden plants from you. Fast forward to 2025. As mentioned, I went to Bronkberry Farms for my tomato, peppers and cucumber plants. For the past 12 years I have been looking for a tomato plant called the 4th of July. Until now, NOBODY has ever heard of such a breed. I talked to an associate at Bronkberry and she said 'Maybe ask Jennifer?' Which I did and right away she said 'YES! I've heard of the 4th of July tomato.' Right then and there, Jennifer stopped what she was doing, called her supplier and ordered a flat of these particular tomato plants. Needless to say, I was back the following week and bought ALL my garden plants. Including my 4th of July tomatoes. All in all I filled my garden with 4 types of tomatoes, 3 types of cucumbers, 3 types of peppers (sweet and hot), peas, basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme and even catnip for my little kitty. I will be an avid customer from here on out. Thank you Jennifer and staff for a very pleasant encounter. I'll be back for any and all gardening needs. The shop is very nice as well. What a waste of time and money going here! This was described as a farm stand in my Google search and farm fresh summer produce is listed on their website. It is not a farm stand, but a garden center/gift shop. The produce was extremely limited (one little basket of wax beans, 2 little baskets of green beans, 3 small patty pan squashes. 2 small egg shaped squashes. 3 watermelon, and a few tomatoes and cucumbers. Everything they had was exttemely overpriced. One little cucumber cost me $3! One small round watermelon was $10. A dozen eggs was $7. And a jar of jelly $10. The only reason I gave this more than 1 star is because the employee working there was very nice. read more

Interesting place. They have fresh flowers outside in a greenhouse . Inside has local produce, honey , jams and jellies. They also had a refrigeration section with meats & cheeses made by locals. I was there on a Sunday. Outside, had a small flea market in back. Coffee made locally, drinks, small homemade foods. T-shirts, signs, clothes, scarves, and knick knacks. Typical flea market stuff with out the "riffraff" elemebt to it. . Vibe was good. Legit place. Also had some farm animals for the kids to look at. Morel here than meets the eye. read more

This place is amazing! It has everything you could want to run a really cute event! Last night I had an engagement party for my son. The place was clean and the decor there is fantastic. They have goats and chickens and all are great to watch. The hayrack rides were thrilling for the kids. The owners are awesome too! Book your next event there and you will not be disappointed. read more

This place is probably the greatest farm in the area. Small farm that's open to the public that offers alot and its always expanding too. Family ran establishment that has tons of great outdoor decor, food, drinks and farm animals to say a few. I definitely enjoyed my visit and they even have great holiday festivities as well. We love Bronkberry Farms!! The fall fest was a great event and it was wonderful to see so many people attending it. The vendors were great and offered some awesome products. Also I couldn't believe they offered free face painting for the kids. My granddaughter was so excited. Then we got to the decorated tractor for pictures. What a great idea! No cost to get in and also can take some cute fall pics for free. Thank you to the Bronk family for doing this! Also I don't mind paying a little more for some beautiful pumpkins and to support Local!! read more

This was a great apple picking experience! The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I wanted some cute fall pictures as well as freshly picked apples and had everything on my list checked off! We got the smallest bag so we paid ten dollars for about 15-20 apples. They also had half a dozen of pumpkin doughnuts for sale, and they were delicious! Great place for families, dates, etc. read more

This place was perfect for my 4 year old and 18 month old grandsons. They fed the goats and lambs. Enjoyed the playground. The train ride was a treat and so was the merry-go-round. The only disappointment was the high priced concession food. A 32 oz. lemonade was $5.99 and if you wanted it blackberry flavored it was $7.49!!! Higher than a gallon of gasoline for your car. read more

We've gone there often but recently discovered one of the owners is a pretty bad person. The prices were always high but we were willing to support a local business. But recent events and their support of them means we can no longer recommend them or support them. read more

This place is absolutely AMAZING, and it is only about 10 minutes from our home. We have been there countless times and I only have nothing but great things to say. First off the owners are so sweet and very helpful. They have so much to offer that you could easily spend hours there with your loved ones. A huge variety of fresh vegetables, plants or even flowers to choose from! And, can we talk about the honey, jams and salsas. OMG! Looking forward to the season opener. read more

I never thought I would leave a pumpkin farm crying.... My son & I were having a blast today at their fall fest. We chose a pumpkin we wanted in the patch that was huge & that we intended to buy. We found a cart, then I stepped back to take photos of my son with the pumpkin. As I was right next to him recording him trying to roll the pumpkin towards the cart, an older man comes up to him and says "hey little man, don't be pulling on those stems they'll be useless." I instantly apologized and said we were going to buy this one anyway. At the same time, i immediately got up to assist my son in putting the pumpkin in the cart when this man got closer and said "You need to keep an eye on your kid. There's signs everywhere saying not yo touch the stem." I had honestly not seen any signs posted about the stems, and another lady near me in the patch overheard this and also said, "Where are the signs?" I was appalled and speechless for a moment. This man had just watched me recording my son with the pumpkin, and still proceeded to tell me to "keep an eye on my kid." I took my son and told him we would go find another patch, as I had no intentions of buying anything from these people. I went to the register to try and speak to someone in charge. The lady I spoke with was apologetic at first, then when I described the man to her, she said "Oh, well I think that's the owner" as if that's supposed to make this better... I was even more speechless and embarrassed at this point. She tried to say it wasn't personal, and that there was a situation with kids breaking them a few weeks back." Again, does not make anything better. My son was not being destructive, and he had three adults watching him at the same time! I honestly cannot believe that anyone would talk to a customer that way (who had already spent a good amount of money in their shop and with the vendors) The vendors are the only good part of this place, and I hope to be able to shop with them in different events in other locations! This place is terribly managed and has absolutely NO business letting the public come onto the farm when they lack basic manners. They need some serious customer service training before they consider hosting public events. read more

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS JOKE OF A BUSINESS.My family was in here last week.They had about 200$ of overpriced low quality produce and plants they were going to purchase. But instead the woman behind the counter yelled at my daughter for touching the decorations even after being told she has autism. My daughter( 7 years old) left the store hysterically crying because of this woman's poor behavior and lack of customer service skills. We put down all of the stuff we had and left. Instead of trying to apologize she went on about her decorations and how someone is feeding her chickens rotten tomatoes who cares? As a chef I try to support local businesses and restaurants whenever I can it saddens me to say you will get better service and product at Walmart. Please give your staff better training and teach them what it means to be a professional and being kind and courteous to every guest who walks threw your doors. read more

My daughter and I had the opportunity to visit Bronkberry Farms this past fall for her first preschool field trip. I was excited to accompany her and while the visit was somewhat short we had a great and memorable time. I think we were expecting a few more farm animals but we really enjoyed the hay ride around the property, and the extra blankets they provided were a very nice touch. It got really cold out there but there were plenty of blankets to go around! If you haven't been here I'd say it's worth a visit. read more

We stopped by Bronkberry Farms while in the Plainfield/ Joliet area to get a few pumpkins. We came home with much more! The owners are great and have a variety of produce and pumpkins inside as well as a new greenhouse packed with mums! We don't have kids but we still enjoyed the petting zoo! There is also a hayride and you can pick your own pumpkins in their fields. Great location too! read more

This place rocks!!! I had heard of Bronkberry Farms but thought it was more of a kids educational place. I just recently moved from Indiana and loved the local markets there but hadn't found one here in Plainfield yet. This place is so much more than a fun place for kids to go on a field trip. They have tons of produce, lawn care supplies, local honey and syrups, lawn/home decorations and a full greenhouse. What really caught my eye was that when I went to explore the property I could see where the tomatoes in the market were growing just right outside of where they were being sold. Jennifer and her husband are so nice and we had talked for a little while and as i was checking out she brought over a few nectarines and said to try them out at NO CHARGE because she had remembered that I had mentioned I loved nectarines, very thoughtful and very delicious. I will definitely be back!!! read more

It's a very cute farm, there's so many things to look at in the shop and I loved the canned good room- many different unique options. I'm bothered that there were barely any pumpkins in the grassy area, & I spent $21 on a hayride that didn't even have hay- and we drove around a big circle and just looked at trees. I thought we were going to be able to stop and pick pumpkins??? We didn't even see any.. Maybe I misunderstood. I'm confused on how they call it a petting zoo when there's just roosters, 1 pig & some goats??? No hand sanitizing stations either. It was a cute place just really not what I expected at all. I feel like there little fall fest was talked up a lot on Facebook because it wasn't as great as it sounded. read more

One day we were out running errands, and we have drove by this Farm many times so i saw a craft show going on and decided to stop. People are so nice and friendly. everyone was so helpful, welcoming you . I was amazed,They had a animal farm, my favorite is goats. , I love to watch them. Oh my goodness in the back room of this Barn they had several cabients of canning jars. oh my. I would of loved to stay for a hour just looking all their fruits and preserves . I love figs , I got 2 jars, - My uncle Gene lives in Tennessee, That is where i am from, but i have lived here in Illinois most my life, But I love the south. My uncle had never ate figs. so i got him a jar. He loves them so much , he was making biscuits everyday to eat with them, He called me and said I would sure like to have another jar of them there figs , Jeanie. i said i will run over there and get ya some. It isn't that far from where i live. I went today. and call them they are closed right now, for the winter. I do want to Thank yall.
