Always busy with diners inside and out, we love to place our orders, sneak next door to pick up our Starbucks mobile order, and then zip back to pick up our food. The last couple of times we've dined here, the staff's attitude has been borderline rude, and at least one or two of our orders have been wrong. For example, baked salmon requested, but received lox; no onions requested and got onion but no tomato; missing sides. Each time the line was too long to get the issues fixed, so we didn't bother trying to get the right thing. Oh, and the "side" of fruit or potato salad? It's barely 2 tablespoons and laughably small. The only positive is that the bagels and contents are still pretty good. The other continuing issue is the place is always super messy, with trash cans overflowing and tables covered with debris from other diners. You will have to clean your own surfaces. I hope the manager/owner is reading all reviews, because the John's Creek location needs an employee attitude and cleanliness overhaul. After a chilly morning walk at Newtown Park, we stopped into Brooklyn Bagel Bakery Deli for a bagel carbo-load. I figured it would be a quick in-and-out if I just ordered a bagel and schmear. I opted for a bagel with lox spread and since there were several people in front of me still waiting for their order, I patiently waited nearby. I waited about 10-15 minutes until I realized all the people waiting before me were gone and people in line after me were getting their food. Hangry and frustrated, I checked in again at the counter and it looked like they misplaced my order ticket so they quickly started making it. The ratio of lox spread to bagel is INSANE. I only wish I had another bagel to share in the love because the lox spread is amazing. This location had ample parking as it was in a small plaza and there was some indoor and outdoor seating. The service was friendly and quick for a Sunday afternoon! We got the Jalapeño Cream Cheese on Everything Bagel and Egg, Sausage, and Cheese on Everything Bagel. Their Everything Bagel is really savory, but a bit salty at times? I still enjoyed my Egg, Sausage, and Cheese. I was really impressed by their Jalapeño Cream Cheese, though! It had a great kick to it. I wonder if it is possible to ask for a thinner bagel cut as sometimes, I find bagels to be too thick to accompany the thin filling inside. This is a little hole in the wall aptly tucked next to a Starbucks, which means parking in front is unlikely. There's a side lot with plenty of parking though. It has a cute outdoor dining area and its very busy inside which is always a good sign. There are 2 doors so be sure to go into the right one. Once in, they have a monster selection of beverage offerings- over 50 and that doesn't count the Coke machine. The service was typical for New York, quick and not friendly or unfriendly. She forgot to ring up my drink and typed the wrong bagel choice- I caught them on the text receipt before it was ready so all was good (& paid for). The sandwich was massive. I have a small mouth (according to my dentist-ha) so it was a challenge to squish it down to eat. I would've preferred open-faced but didn't think to ask. It was generous and delicious. The everything bagel is so fresh, you can't get anything like this from a store. The portion of salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes and (huge) capers was well worth the price. If I want dining alone, it'd be enough to split with a friend. The pickle has the perfect deli crunch & the Israeli salad was fresh but a little bland. Overall, I'm glad I tried it. I've been coming here for years, and their pastrami breakfast bagel has always been my go to. But this last visit changed the game. When I ordered, I mentioned "pastrami bagel," and the lady asked, "Do you want the platter or the bagel?" Platter?? I had no idea that was even an option. So of course, I said yes... and boom, I'm glad I did. The platter basically gives you everything that would normally go inside the bagel (eggs, pastrami, cheese, the works), but all separated so you can build it how you want. I still filled up my bagel like normal, and somehow still had plenty left over. Perfect portions, perfect flavor, all around win for me since I love scrambled eggs. Everything was fresh and tasty... the pastrami was loaded with flavor, eggs were soft, and the bagel itself? Just perfectly toasted. The people here are always super nice too, which makes the experience even better. Only heads up: parking right in front can get a little tight, especially if you show up during the morning rush. The shop is small but SUPER busy so that should tell you something. It was chaotic inside and you can't really see the bagels until it's your turn to order and a lot of items are just not labeled. I also got honey walnut, jalapeno and scallion schmears & so far I have tried the honey walnut + French toast bagel and yum! The schmear has the walnuts blended so not huge chunks which was great to me and the French toast bagel does taste pretty close to the real thing. So this is my all-time favorite bagel shop I. The area for many years. Bit on Mother's Day when I went in there, the woman at the cash wrap could not have been snarkier to me with major attitude. I do t know, maybe she was irritated I came in an hour and 10 minutes before closing time? ! Haha. Anyway I ordered 3 everything bagels toasted with egg, cheese and I asked for extra tomato on all 3 sandwiches because their tomato slices are the thinnest barely slices I've ever seen. So anyway, I told her two sandwiches were to go and I was going to eat the third one there. As I was sitting in the booth waiting on the order, I noticed that my receipt only showed extra tomato on two of the sandwiches, so I went back up to the same cashier and said hey I just wanted to make sure you know I wanted extra tomato on all three sandwiches. She looked at me with an irritated look and said yeah, I know. So I said OK well as long as you know that because my receipt only shows two sandwiches getting extra tomato. At that point, she rolled her eyes at me and went over to let the Kitchen know to make sure there was tomato on all three sandwiches. Well, again, they have the thinnest shaved tomato slices I've ever seen at any restaurant and the real gripe as to why I'm doing this review was not just her attitude... Those shaved slices of tomato had NO extra tomato...there was no more than any other time I've ordered the sandwiches they without asking for extra, and the real kicker....she charged me an additional $3.95 for supposed extra tomato. Come on Brooklyn bagel you should be ashamed of yourself. I k ow the price of produce has increased but not to the extent that you had to rip me off for an additional $3.95 and not even put any extra tomatoes on the sandwiches!!!!! Knocking down a star for one reason: cleanliness. On a busy Sunday, not one employee was deployed to clean tables as breakfast goers came and went. We sat an open booth, and used napkins in an attempt to clean the table, but what it needed was some soap and hot water. Minutes later, the owner was walking through, chatting with his regulars, and he merely swept crumbs from the table to the floor and straitened the chairs. Really? Got some lox bagels and a breakfast croissant on a Sunday morning around 11:30. It was very busy but the line moved quickly (8 minute wait) and the food came out very fast for to go (5 minute wait). They have some tables inside and outside but we opted to go to the park across the street to eat. I like that they didn't skimp on the cream cheese, which is more new York style and it was fresh and tasty. The classic bagel I got with the lox was around $8-9 and honestly good to share if you aren't super hungry! My friend tried one of the prepackaged pastries that looked like little croissants with peach filling in the front as you go through the line and it was just okay (they were hard and had very little jam)- wouldn't recommend over the bagels. Newtown park is an easy 5 minute walk, which is where we started and walked to get bagels. read more

I rarely order delivery from your shop as you are very close to me. But today I decided to have delivery as my driveway is blocked by work trucks and didn't want to bother them to ask to move. Today i went this location at 1:31pm. Which is about 20+ minutes before closing. I put my order in with Selena at the counter. The order i placed was a tuna on toasted poppy with tomato, mayo and onions and no lettuce and I ordered the lunch sandwich which came with a side. My side was a bag of chips. This order was a take out one. So they called my order# 370 and I was happy it was quick and fast. Let me also note im from NYC and my family member suggested coming to the location cause for two days i was craving a good toasted bagel with tuna. I'm here in atlanta for a work project. So I was expecting a great sandwich. So when I got home with my food, I opened the order the bagel sandwich had no tuna inside and it also had lettuce which I requested no lettuce, and no bag of chips either I was so disappointed. So then when I realized no tuna on the sandwich, we couldn't drive back to the location cause at that moment the store closes at 2pm. I wonder if the person that was behind the counter was rushing to finish orders before closing time, cause there were 4 customers ahead of me that placed their food orders too. Just a note to the staff. Please take the time to complete the order everything doesn't have to be "fast and quick" it needs to be right and ready for the customer to enjoy the meal.
