My tribe and I are always trying to find a good pizza place for dinner. So far, we've been to Brooklyn Pizza three times in the past month. Yes, it's that good but let me break it down for you from our POV. The place's decor can use a pick me up, but this has nothing to do with the food. With so many windows, the area still seems a bit dark--just my opinion. The booths are a great size where six people can fit, but the seats weren't clean and had a lot of crumbs. However, the waitstaff and cashier were super friendly and answered questions we had. Now let's get to the food! Since we've been there several times so far, I will write this review collectively of our experiences. The first time we ordered take-out, and they screwed up one of our orders. I placed a call and informed the manager of the order mixup. The manager apologized and told me the next time I come in to order, and it will be replaced for free. We've tried the wings, and it was delicious. Bacon and pepperoni on pizza are big winners with my tribe. Thin crust and cheesy a big hit with the tribe. Everyone gave it a thumbs up! I prefer a pasta dish, and my favorite is the penne vodka with chicken. My other favorite is a white slice with tomatoes. YUMMY! Looking forward to going back soon and trying new dishes!! read more

The service is horrible. They act like you are bothering them. "Run out" of slices an hour before close and say they can't bake anymore.

Ordered delivery via Door Dash. All went well and pricing was fair. First time trying their pizza and would order again. Nice sauce, thicker crust that was chewy, savory pepperoni. Horrible service. Stopped in on a Friday night with my elderly parents. We were in line to order and saw a table open so we grabbed it so my parents could sit down. Right after we sat down, we were rudely told by Felicia we could not sit there. When I asked why, she stated because there was another party that had already ordered so they got the table! I was shocked! We abandoned the table assuming we could find another one. When we went to place our order, the cashier asked if we had a table. I explained we did but were told we had to leave. She said we could only place our order to go since we didn't have a table secured! Seriously?! We placed our order to go and we're lucky enough to find a table as our pizza came out. Being a former New Yorker my multiple dealings with Brooklyn Pizza have been very good I must say. It's not a white table cloth establishment, but in my opinion their offerings are better than most. Their pizza is pretty good it doesn't look or taste like a piece of cardboard, with ketchup and cheese from Harris Teeter dairy Dept. on it (Not a crack on HT just offering a visual on cheese in a zip lock bag). We visit Brooklyn Pizza often. I have no idea why they have a three star review at this time...we always enjoy our pizza, wether we take it home or eat in. We have enjoyed the Brooklyn Bridge every visit. We have also tried the fettuccine Alfredo, garlic knots, a calzone, and the Baked Ziti. All were excellent. We find the staff to be helpful and kind. These days, it seems that prices keep going up and somehow the quality goes down. I got a Greek salad with chicken to go today and I wouldn't feed it to my dog. The cold refrigerated chicken looks gray and mealy, the lettuce is wilted and nearly bad, they put rock hard crumbled Parmesan cheese instead of feta, cherry tomatoes were almost rotten. If I were in the restaurant I would've thrown this across the room aiming for the idiot that made it. Totally done with this ripoff restaurant. At first I hesitated about going because of some of the negative reviews but we had such a great experience I wanted to leave a review. It is a 'quick service' style restaurant so you can quickly set the expectation that this is casual dining. We ordered a regular and a gluten free pizza, a venetian salad and a kids chicken tenders. The regular pizza had a light, crispy crust and a delicious flavor. The kids meal and salad were both very good. The gluten free pizza was not my favorite but it did taste good. Just not as good as the regular pizza or as good as some other gluten free pizza's I've had. The service was wonderful. The crust was tough as leather and the cheese had a texture of rubber without much taste. The toppings were $4.00 each for banana peppers and onion. My favorite so far. Their chicken parmesan was amazing. The sauce was perfect. We got thecoffee of Angel hair pasta which many places do not offer. It is my husbands favorite. I like how they give you to go cups from the start. I had cheese tortellini Alfredo which was amazing. Their Alfredo sauce is delicious. The first time I had a calzone. This was very tough/hard/crispy but still good. I asked for a side of Alfredo and they have me a huge bowl. Great for dipping the bread in. Overall, we are planning on going back. I rarely leave reviews but.... If you like calzones, don't ever order a calzone from here. We've been eating here since they opened, and previously their calzones were to die for. Tonight, I received a pre-prepared calzone shell that had been sliced in half, had maybe a pinch of cheese, and the toppings requested. When I pointed out that there was no cheese, I was told that I needed to pay an extra fee for the cheese. They claimed they've never changed cooks or rules and the calzones have always been this way. hello fellow yelpers, So for a little backstory, I ate at this place one day in the fall. Later that night I had food poisoning. Anyways, I went back! No food poisoning so fat although I did feel some "gurgles" in my stomach. The workers were pretty rude. I say thank you or Have a nice day and no "Of course" or "You too"?? The pizza was okay until you were about 2/3 done with it. After that, it tasted like cardboard which was not enjoyable. The Dr. Pepper tasted so sugary and didn't even have fizz to it. Normally I would end this with a "never coming back again" but that would be a lie. I'll update you if any food was poisoned. EDIT: here I am switching from sitting on the toilet to laying on the bathroom floor at 11:00 at night. The cramps are horrible. NEVER come here. We've had BP over the years since they opened here and it's always hit and miss. Sometimes it has enough toppings and is cooked enough, other times it's just a doughy mess with skimpy toppings. We took a six month break from ordering their pizza and decided to give it another try. Again, an undercooked, floppy, doughy mess. Sauce tasted watered down, cheese was tasteless... We have been ordering pizza from Brooklyn Pizza since they opened. It was our favorite local pizza and what we judged other pizzerias by. We would try others while traveling and wished they were even close to Brooklyn Pizza. Sadly, they have changed their cheese blend and now it's probably our least favorite pizza. Ashley doesn't belong in the food industry. Love this place and the food is always good. I tried a piece of hamburger pizza. The ground beef was hard and I didn't enjoy it. Was mocked that it was only "$3" dollars for a slice and typically don't refund or exchange pizza. I was enraged to be treated like I was nothing. Some people don't have more money to spend. This is probably the worst pizza I've ever had. I grew up in the north and after living all over the south for 8 years now I've realized that finding good pizza down here is pretty hard. I definitely dont believe anyone that works here is from Brooklyn or has even ever been to New York The crust is AWFUL. It's super chewy and tough. It's like what I would imagine eating cardboard would be like. It was bad. Next, their sausage is so unbelievable tasteless if someone would have blindfolded me and asked me what it was I would have guessed it was unseasoned ground chicken. I would have never guessed sausage. The last issue on this trash pizza is the sauce. They barely put any on. I'm not someone that likes a saucy pizza but I like to be able to at least taste it and know it's there. This was like we had asked for no sauce, they put it on because they forgot, and then scraped it off and hoped we wouldnt notice that sauce had once been on it.
